Christmas Day is on December 25th, though it originated in the western

country, now it is popular around the world. In China, people will spend that

day happily, they will eat apples on Christmas Eve, the children will put the

socks so that they could get the presents from Santa Claus. When I went to

college, I had an unforgettable memory about my first Christmas Day.

As my major is English, I have many foreign teachers, so that I could have

access to the local culture from them. Christmas Day is a big day for them, when

the day came, they asked us to spend the day with them, because most of them

left home and did not have families around. My classmates and I went to the

foreign teacher’s home at that day, we brought some presents, when we arrived at

his house, we found a beautiful tree with shinning lights. My teachers taught us

how to cook all the cookies, we were having such great fun. I made the cookies

with many favors. We talked happily and sung Christmas songs.

I learned how the foreign people spend their big day, it was such

unforgettable for me.

I am a student from Xinhua Middle School in Chongqing，China. Informed that

这周搭公交车，我和一位陌生人产生了“误会”。

在我无聊地坐在车上时，站台上来了一位明艳的年轻女子。只见她染着一头红发，涂着花纹复杂的美甲，身穿皮衣，俨然一副大姐大的模样。上了车之后，她恰巧站在了我的面前，随着路程的经过，她也一直在看手机和发微信中游荡。我面上没什么，心里却有些奇怪，不自主地，我对她好奇起来。

一站又一站，车上的人来来往往，一时间，车内已是人满为患。而那位女子也坐下了，这时，上来一位满头白发，手提包包的老奶奶，她的背挺得硬朗，看着中气十足，一时间，没人给她让座，但老奶奶站了一会，随着人群的推搡，一个不小心，包掉了。正在我犹豫要不要捡包的时候，那位红发女子已经把包捡起来，礼貌地关心了老人几句。我还来不及反应，她又主动让出了自己的位子。老奶奶连声说谢谢，她也只是一笑，说：“这是我们应尽的责任，您年纪大了，要小心。”

看着这一幕幕，我有些惊讶，又有种说不出的感受，带着异样的心情，我看着她和老奶奶亲切交谈，看着她一站又一站地站着，直到我下了车，她还在那站着。

下了车，我觉得羞愧，仅仅凭借主观的判断，我就认为红发女子不会让座。从衣着打扮来评价一个人，是我平日最不认同的行为，如今放在自己身上，我变成了自己最讨厌的样子。

如果只在你看到他人的第一秒就定格了一个人的形象，那你将会失去很多。记得以前看新闻，有位坐拥十套房产的大爷在坚持卖堡仔饭，如果只看的他的背心、拖鞋，你不会认为他有钱。但这样生活是他最舒适的方式。

A library is a building for a collection or books, magazines, periodicals

and newspapers. The books are kept on the shelves in the stack room whereas the

magazines, journals, etc. in the reading rooms. Modern libraries also have xerox

rooms, and computer rooms.

If you want to borrow books, you can go to the loan desk, look over the

correct call numbers in the card catalog and ask the librarian to take then, out

for you. Or youre allowed to enter the stack room to rind books for yourself,

you can look up the bound volume or index for the articles relative to the

subject, on which you are going to write thesis. If the library doesnt

subscribe to the magazine which carries the article you want, you can borrow the

magazine from other libraries by means of interlibrary loan service.

Dont forget to show your library card or I.D. card to the librarian before

you go into the reading room, where you can read magazines or newspapers. If you

find a good article and want to keep it, you can have it duplicated in the xerox

room. Besides, if you want to watch films or slides, you can ask the

projectionist to play the videotape for you in the audio visual room, where you

can also listen to language tapes and music tapes.

乡村真是一个美好的地方，让我们走进美丽的田园风光吧!

田野里全是金灿灿的油菜花，油菜地真像穿上了一件黄澄澄的新衣。一株株挨得密密麻麻的，我走进油菜地里，花丛中有很多很多的蜜蜂，有小蜜蜂、马蜂、蜂王、还有其它种类的蜜蜂。我站在中间感觉要被咬了一口，叫了一声：“好吓人呀!”蜜蜂们似乎听懂了，就飞到了另一朵油菜花上，我和它们犹如成了好朋友，我永远不会忘记它们是我最好的朋友。

走在田间的小路上，我觉得非常自由。再往前走就到了小溪里，在小溪里有形状各异的石头。那一块块有的躺在岸上，如果是下雨天，就像在洗冷水澡，如果是晴天的话，就像是在晒太阳。有的静静地躺在小溪里，感觉非常的悠闲自在。早晨小溪里挤满了捣衣的妇女，她们各个旁边有一两个小水桶，里面全是一件件衣服或其它生活用具。到是夏天，小朋友会在小溪里打水漂，捉小鱼、小螃蟹、小泥鳅……许许多多的好玩意儿。

几乎每户人家的房前屋后都搭了瓜架，种上蔬菜、水果，有柑子、柿子、玉米等好吃的。还有一些人家养了几只肥肥的母鸡率领着一群小鸡和几只膘肥体壮的雄鸡。这几只雄鸡叫了，远处也有一只雄鸡在叫，后来我发现了这边叫一声，那边也叫一声，好像就是在对话一样。

有一次我在田间，抬头一看空中全是一群红蜻蜓，令人眼花缭乱。我想去捉它，可是不知道用什么捉好，后来人越来越多，有的说用网，有的说用石头，还有的人说用竹筛。我每样都试了一次，最好捉的还是竹筛，一拍就可以掉下五六只，我望着盒子里的蜻蜓好开心呀，爷爷说它们是益虫，专吃蚊子和其它有害的飞虫，我们不应该伤害它们，于是我就把它们放了。

多么自由的乡村，多么宽阔的田野，多么多姿多彩的生活，我流连忘返，这幅连绵不断的画卷时常在我的脑海里回荡，我爱我们的乡村生活。

这本书的作者是鲁迅，原名周樟寿后改名为周树人，“鲁迅”是他的笔名，其实鲁迅并非一开始就写文章，他在日本东京留学从医时，在看电影时，发现了中国人的腐败与懦弱，他意识到凭借医学，根本无法医治中国人的灵魂，于是，他毅然回国，弃医从文，要通过文章来医治中国人的灵魂，他写的文章都是白话文，就是通俗易懂的文章，他在当时的影响很大，他是著名的文学家、思想家、教育家，五四新文化运动的重要参与者，中国现代文学的奠基人。主席曾评价：“鲁迅的方向，就是中华民族新文化的方向。”

《朝花夕拾》原名《旧事重提》，共有《小引》、《狗?猫?鼠》、《二十四孝图》、《五猖会》《无常》《从百草园到三味书屋》《父亲的病》《范爱农》《后记》等十二部分组成。

让我记忆深刻的是《二十四孝图》，这里是元代郭居敬编，内容是古代所传二十四个孝子的故事。后来的印本都配上图画，通俗读物。书简要阐述了父母刚到百里之外为父母背米，向乙常吃粗劣的食物，对父亲恭敬孝顺，白天先把父亲的枕席扇凉，冬天先用自己的身体的父亲暖床。怀橘遗亲，陆绩六岁时到父亲的朋友家做客，拿了三个橘子藏在怀里，临走时橘子滚落出来，父亲的朋友问他，他跪着说：“我母亲最喜欢吃橘子，我是拿回去送给她吃的。”等故事。

看到这里，大家肯定会认为这些人们真孝顺呀!其实并非这样，你认为这些故事真的可靠吗?真的会有人“卧冰求鲤”、“哭竹生笋”、“郭巨埋儿”吗?这只不过是鲁迅在讽刺当时黑暗的社会背景和人们腐败的封建迷信。

读完之后，我觉得我也要向鲁迅那样，让社会中的腐败风气消失。

Taking away doubt I looked in the past after all. Oh! Buy a zhongzi so, the zhongzi breed here is really too much: Of beef stuffing, of red jujube stuffing, of chop stuffing, of earthnut stuffing... my what look saliva should flow. Took a bag rapidly, say to mom: "Mom, I like to eat fresh chopped meat, I should be bought more a few. " mom nods express to agree, then I bought the zhongzi of a lot of fresh chopped meat.

Buy a zhongzi, we bought a lot of things again, have a meal in hall of Xiang Shang coffee next, had eaten a meal, we came home cheerfully, really happy today!

随着时间的步伐，人类的科技也变得越来越发达，高科技在我们的生活中，也是无处不在，并带给了我们许多方便。比如：共享单车、共享书店、共享雨伞等等。但是我们在享受着科技带来方便的同时，是否尊重了科技呢?前不久发生的一件小事，让我开始思考这个问题。

记得那天，吃完晚饭，我和妈妈一如既往的出门散步。路上我们有说有笑，妈妈提到最近比较火的话题——共享单车，并建议我们去骑骑看吧，一开始我并不是很想骑，但是妈妈说骑单车既可以锻炼身体，又能节省时间，这不是一举两得吗?妈妈说的有道理，我也想坚持自己的意见，我反驳道：“那散步也可以锻炼身体还能缓解压力啊!”可是妈妈并没有采纳我的意见。虽然心有不服，却苦于妈妈是长辈，我也没有更好的能说服妈妈的理由。心里其实也跃跃欲试，现在科技的神奇成果。于是妈妈拿出手机搜附近的共享单车，马上手机上就显示出有几十辆单车，太神奇了!按照手机上的位置，我们很快发现了二三十辆单车歪七八扭的倒在绿化带里。走近一看，我们同时吓到了，倒在地下的单车都或多或少的有残缺：有的没有了脚踏，有些被卸了座椅，有的甚至被拔走了整个轮胎!我的感触很大，作为使用者的我们，心里难免有些心寒。共享单车的出现，是现代科技的一种体现，是人类文明更进一步的表现。设计师是对现代文明人的信任而做出了“共享”的设计理念，为了让繁忙的现代人更快捷更方便的使用，设计了共享单车，并不是让我们来破坏它的!

自行车也是有“生命”的，如果换做是人类呢?被砍了手、卸了胳膊，甚至被扎破心脏了呢?听上去是不是太残忍了呢?相信谁都不愿意吧。

我的观念就是，如果你做不到文明共享，那就没有资格继续使用文明带给我们的方便了。

When it comes to success, different people have different opinions about

what makes it come true. Some people regard hard-working as an essential quality

to success while others believe being clever would lead to success. From my

point of view, I think perseverance and hard-working are indispensable for those

who want to make an achievement.

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people

want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal

and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people

who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I

think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have

perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if

we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the

world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of

thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the

999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that

perseverance produces success.

Secondly, there is also a kind of people who are born with cleverness, I

think they are lucky. Nevertheless, if they don’t make a hard work on their way

to their goal, they, absolutely, will become loser. Whether we are gifted for

intelligent, we must be hard-working so as to success. I regard hard-working as

an efficient approach to be successful because I believe ‘pains and gains’. As

for those who do not make great efforts on work, failure follows. In old times,

there is a clever boy who can make excellent poem when he can talk. When his

father found the little child’s cleverness, he just let the child make poems to

show around while never let the boy learned anything. When the boy grew up,

people forgot him because he lost the ability to compose poems and became

ordinary as others. From this matter, we can see that only by hard-working can

we get knowledge and make a good future.

Anyway, I think perseverance and hard-working are both important in our way

to success for they enhance us and produce success.

Dragon Boat Festival is one the very classic traditional festivals, which

has been celebrated since the old China. Firstly, it is to in honor of the great

poet Qu Yuan, who jumped into the water and ended his life for loving the

country. Nowadays, different places have different ways to celebrate.

In my hometown, there will be a traditional competition, that is the dragon

boat race. People make up the team and fight for the honor. Every boat looks

like the dragon and it is the most obvious feature. A lot of people will come to

visit or watch the match. Then the game begins. The audience will cheer for the

teams and the competitors try their best to make the boat go fast. It is very

lively.

Besides the competition, eating the traditional food zongzi is favored by

everyone. For me, it is very delicious. My grandma makes the best zongzi. She

has the special recipe and it fits my stomach. So every time I go back hometown,

my grandma will make it for me.

In other places, drinking the special wine and hanging the leaf are also

the tradition. The preserve of the traditional festival makes our culture

profound.

Since the one child policy carried on, many families had only one kid. As the children growing up, they felt lonely, because they did not have anyone to accompany. They felt so envious when they saw others have siblings. There is no doubt that the one child policy has controlled the population to increase so fast and helped people to improve their life lever. Recently, the government tends to open the second child policy slowly. People hold the different opinion. Some people think that it is good to let the child have siblings, so they will not lonely and can learn the meaning of sharing. Other people don’t want to have one more child because they don’t have enough money. They want to give the best education to the child, so they think one child is enough. Anyway, the second child policy gives people more choice.

Most westerners always celebrate Christmas Day as their major festival, in

order to memorialize Jesus. During that time, they always have several days off,

so they can enjoy this festival with all their hearts. The children often get

together with their friends. The adults are busy with decorating their houses.

They also send the postcards with their best wishes to each other. In the

streets, there are so many Fathers Christmas sending presents to the passers-by.

And everything is on a discount in the supermarkets. Thus the supermarkets are

the busiest places.

In the evening, the families usually have pudding, sandwiches, apple pies

and some other desserts for dinner. After supper, the families always sing and

dance around the Christmas tree. Sometimes, they also go to church. Before going

to bed, the children often hang up their stockings beside their bed, so that

Father Christmas will fill them with presents. It is said that Father Christmas

always drives a deer to the human world and entering into each house from the

chimney. Now the children no longer believe in Father Christmas, but they still

hang up their stockings, because their parents will fill them with presents.

我喜欢吃豆芽，我觉得自己做出来的豆芽更健康，更新鲜，所以我决定自己发豆芽。

我找来一把绿豆，它们身穿嫩绿色的外衣，长圆形的身体中间有一个小圆点，该不是它的肚脐眼吧?我把绿豆放进一个瓷碗里，加上自来水，刚刚没过豆子。一会儿功夫，绿豆肚子身上冒出一些小小的气泡，这是豆子在‘睡觉’的呼吸吧?我给他们盖上一层纱布，不知道等他们睡醒，会是怎么样子?

第二天，我一起床就跑去打开纱布，看到绿豆胖了许多，像一个个胖娃娃，他们似乎很怕冷，挨挨挤挤抱成一团。听妈妈说要给小宝贝们浇很多水，我给它们浇上了爱心水，悄悄地对他们说：“小宝贝，你们要快快长大哦!”哈哈，我觉得自己就是他们的妈妈。晚上睡觉之前，我又去给它们喝水，看到它们的绿衣服都撑破了，露出了黄色的肚皮，好光洁啊。

到了第三天，绿豆有了明显的变化，在‘屁股’处长出了一条‘小尾巴’，是白里带着淡黄的，梢尖真是可爱极了。早晚给它们喝水的时候，我总是小心翼翼的，生怕弄疼了它们。要知道他们长得可快了，一天都差不多能长一厘米呢，白白的皮肉，可嫩了，估计一捏就出水呢。

第四天的时候，豆芽的尾巴又长了一些，像一条条在水里游动的小蝌蚪。大多数绿豆挣脱了绿衣服的束缚了，淡黄色的身子，赤裸裸的，胖乎乎的，玉一样的光洁漂亮，"尾巴"顶部长了一些小须须，还呈现了一种黄褐色。明天我的豆芽会长得更长吗?我又激动又充满了期望。

第五天，豆芽都站立起来，‘尾巴’又长了一些，像五线谱的音符，似乎都把‘头’伸出来听它们演奏的音乐呢。先前绿衣包住的部分，现在是粉紫色的啦，中间撑开了两片嫩黄色的叶子，白嫩嫩的身子，像极了一块"夹心饼干"，只有连着"夹心饼干"的那小部分呈现了淡黄色，还长出了一些几乎看不见的小毛毛。妈妈说得赶紧吃了不然就老了，我还真有点舍不得呢。但是想到我可以自己打豆芽，我又无比兴奋，好期待下一次哦。

“豆芽的力量真是神奇啊!”吃着自己发的豆芽，脆脆的，嫩嫩的，有一股清香味，我想，“我吃了豆芽也该会有神奇的力量吧?”

我问，什么是朋友?

有人说，朋友是一个亲切的安慰，一个可以依靠的肩膀，一个受挫时的鼓励。我和别人交朋友言辞恳切的询问意见，别人和我交朋友却是一脸勉强。“喂!前面的，我要成为你的朋友兼同桌。”

想到我第一次和她见面的时候是在七岁的时候。那时的她，一如既往的脾气暴躁。我只要一想到她的那个九匹马都啦不回来回来的牛脾气我就是一把辛酸泪。唉!怎么说呢?她的性格非常的大胆暴躁名副其实的男儿性格，我呢，是一个比较倔的人。可能就是我们这两个没有一点相似的性格，和不懂得谦让包容的自觉导致我们两个经常吵架打架，经常一起被老师罚站，经常一起被自家父母打骂。

虽然现在我和她还是会发生争吵，但都是当时吵完当时和好。每次同学目睹了我和她吵得面红耳赤正准备上来劝说一番的时候，我和她就以眨眼间的速度和好了，常常都弄得同学都以为自己刚刚出现了幻觉。

她这个人不仅脾气差就连安慰激励人的时候都弄得别人好像欠她二五八万似的。有一次我数学考砸了，一个人闷闷不乐的趴在桌上盯着我那画满红双差的卷子。她人未到声先到“你不要整天一副要死不活的样子。”“我哪有。”我看着站在我面前的人反驳道。“你没有?”她一把把我从凳子上来了起来，怒吼“不就是考砸了嘛，大不了从头再来唉!我最看不惯你这副跟得了绝症一样的模样。”

她的话对于我来说真的很重要，而我也没有想到她是为了我好。而我也没有意识到她的言语虽然恶劣，起充满了对我的鼓励，有她这样的朋友我是真的很幸运。

让我记忆最为时刻的是在我外公去世三天后的情景。那天她发现了我的不正常，周边都散发着忧伤的气氛。我向她道明了缘由，我发现她只是点了点头，不语。我略有些哽咽的问她：“你怎么没有一点表示啊?”“什么表示?死人的又不是我的外公。”她顿了顿又说“如果我外公去世了，我不会一味沉浸在悲伤中，因为我不会让他在天堂也不得安宁。”“你觉得呢?”她侧过头来看着我。我点了点头，随后我想清楚她话的意思后，笑了：“你这个口是心非的家伙。”她就是这么一个喜欢口是心非的人。

我和她共同度过了一个充满欢声笑语打打闹闹的童年。

又开始削苹果了，苹果刀在手里灵巧地动着，落下一道长长的皮，如同我成长的道路一样……

小时候，曾学过妈妈削苹果，可那刀在我手中远没有在妈妈手中那么听话，唯在苹果上刻下了一道道杂乱的划痕。那么糟糕，我依旧兴致不减。因为妈妈说过，只有长大了，才可以削苹果。在我的心里，会削苹果已成为了长大的标志。

后来，削苹果割到了手，当时不懂得控制情绪的我大哭起来，看着苹果上杂乱的划痕和手上的伤痕，我想：成长的味道，原来就和眼泪一样苦涩。

从此不再去碰苹果刀，因为“自己还小”的事实已在我心中深深地扎根。直到那一天，我上了五年级，心里便想着：现在高年级了，是不是长大了呢?我又拿起了苹果刀。这次没有再割到手，但在削皮的同时，也削去了不少苹果肉，剩下的几乎接近核了，但我却在那个将近核的地方吃出了点点甜味。

现在我长大了。在无数次的尝试后，苹果刀开始渐渐地听从我的安排，削出的苹果，也不再狼狈不堪。每一次，我都会削出长长的皮来，削出的苹果也可以大致保留原来的形状，每次削苹果吃，嘴里都会弥漫起一股甜味。原来，成长的味道和苹果一样甜。

每当削苹果的时候，我总会想起那天妈妈说的一番话。那天，我和妈妈一起去超市买东西。出发的时候，万里无云，那毒辣的阳光照耀着大地。但是，在快要到达的时候，突然下起了雨，我和妈妈只好到屋檐下躲雨。我看着雨说：“这天气太讨厌了，早知道就不出来了。”这时，妈妈对我说：“天气的变化，就像削苹果一样，你永远都不知道你接下来会削成怎么样，而你也永远不知道下一秒天气会变得怎么样，所以，不要抱怨。”过了一会儿，雨停了，太阳从云里露出了半张脸，而妈妈的话，深深地刻在了我的心里。

手中的苹果刀依旧在不停地动着，动着，在我成长的道路中，又削过多少类似于这样的“苹果”，又尝过多少像眼泪那样的苦和像苹果那样的甜的呢?手中的苹果只削了一半，接下来那一半会是怎么样?我不知道。我以后的成长道路会怎么样?我也不知道。或许，会有更多的甜;又或许，会有更多的苦;也或许，苦甜参半……

但我不怕，因为这就是成长的味道，五味杂陈。

The generation gap is unavoidable in almost every family, which brings

about a number of conflicts in a family. In my opinion, to limit the bad effects

of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

meantime, once old people realize young people are nurtured in a new modern way,

it is easy for them to be tolerant of young people’s new habits or hobbies.

Secondly, people of each generation should not develop a very high feeling

about themselves. In order to do that, they should not think that they are the

only right people in their family because each person has his or her own

limitations. Teenagers would realize that their parents have to struggle with

pain to support them financially, and they would stop rebelling their

strictness. Parents would realize that their children’s new style does no harm

to their studies and stop imposing their own unsuitable standards on their

children.

Finally, the generation gap and its bad effects can be limited if all

members cooperate to build up a close-knit family relationship and a harmonious

atmosphere in which they are open and tolerant of each other. I strongly believe

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

interference by the generation gap.

星期三的下午，阳光明媚，同学们个个都像灿烂的花骨朵一样，脸上洋溢着笑容。为什么同学们如此开心呢?因为这一天的下午有一节课，是大家最喜欢的——信息课。

其他的同学喜欢信息课，我当然也不例外。在信息课上，我们能用各种软件来做自己喜欢做的事。我一边幻想着如何在电脑上画画，一边拿出鞋套准备上课，一回头，目光穿过教室的窗户，看见班主任夏老师，也是我们的数学老师拿着本教材正往教室走来。我很奇怪，“这节课不是信息课吗?为什么夏老师要来呢?”正想着，夏老师已经走进了教室。

我们个个一脸疑惑。“这节课不是信息课吗?不应该是信息老师来吗?为什么夏老师来了?”同学们在坐位上窃窃私语。

夏老师郑重地看了我们一眼，并没有说话，而是把目光移向讲台上的教材，好像在酝酿语言。虽然老师只停顿了几秒钟，但那几秒钟对我来说却很漫长，同学们都在心里暗暗催促。“快点讲呀!我们都想知道是怎么回事，我们快等不及了。“老师抬头望了我们一眼，深吸了一口气，“你们信息老师因为临时有事，不能上信息课了，这节课我来上数学，请同学们把数学书拿出来。”话音刚落，教室立刻沸腾起来，就像来到人来人往的菜市场。有的同学唉声叹气，叫苦连天，也有的同学虽然老老实实的拿出课本，但也时不是地摇摇头，甚至有的人借此机会与邻座的人讲几句话。我的心情也由欣喜转为失望，本来一周只有一节的信息课，却被其他科老师占用，这对整个班的学生来说都是莫大的打击。

古人云：“塞翁失马，焉知祸福。”有人认为失去了就是不幸，我却认为失去也是另一种获得。虽然我失去一节喜爱的信息课，但是在这堂数学课上，我解决了一直没弄懂的难题。这，难道不是另一种收获吗?

Every child has an idol in their heart. They chase the famous star and

dream to be part of them. Look at those idols, they are young and beautiful, and

the most important thing is that they are favored by a lot of fans, so I dream

to be a star. If I were a star, first, I could make a lot of money. With these

money, I could make my parents have a better life and return their love. The

most exciting thing is to have a lot of fans. They will support me all the time.

I also could see my talents and feel so proud of myself. But being a star means

lacking of time to company our families.
