The international workers day, also known as May day, is celebrated on the first day on May. There are more than eighty countries celebrate this festival since 1889. People may know that the workers day is about having a rest on that day, but most of them dont know how this day comes from and the story behind it.

In the late of 18 century, the cruel capitalists in order to make more money, they demanded their employers to work all day, but only paid them with low salaries. In America, the workers had to work at least 14 hours a day, sometimes, they even worked as long as 18 hours. The mini knitted garments have helped save hundreds of flightless birds caught in oil spills providing protection from the elements and stopping them from ingesting poisonous pollution.

Knits for Nature a program run by The Penguin Foundation which conserves the little penguin population of Phillip Island 140km south-east of Melbourne has created up to 300 different designs over the years - and its all thanks to talented volunteers.

‘There’s a lot of hidden creativity out there said Lyn Blom of the Phillip Island Nature Park.

People love to know that they’re helping the penguins because they’re so cute and small and they waddle up the beach and they’re so feisty. But they need to be they live in a pretty tough sort of environment.’

A thumbnail-sized patch of oil can kill little penguins the smallest of the species measuring just 13 inches (33cm) and weighing 2.2lbs (1kg). The oil separates and mats their feathers breaking natural waterproofing and heating functions.

Ms Blom estimates she has knitted between 200 and 300 penguin jumpers over the years including ones in the colours of every Australian Rules football team in the country.

A staff member read an article in an English women’s magazine about knitting for guillemot birds and decided to adapt the designs.

‘There’s an awful lot of ladies out there who used to knit for their children and grandchildren. These ladies have spare wool and idle hands and they love to feel loved and needed and we love and need them’ said Ms Blom.

The Penguin Foundation recently staged a competition for the most creative jumper which received an enthusiastic response.

The Penguin Foundation rescues approximately 20 birds a year. They even have a stockpile of jumpers in case of emergency - such as the large oil spill near Phillip Island in 2001.

In that instance 453 Little Penguins were affected 96 percent of which were saved - most thanks to the jumpers.

Today is Qingming Festival. Its a traditional Chinese Tomb Sweeping Festival. Dad drives grandma, mom, my brother and I to Xianyou home together. My hometown is on a big mountain near Xianyou County town. After 1 hours of winding roads, we finally arrived at the destination -- my familiar hometown in dreams.

As soon as we got off the train, we could smell a fresh country smell, surrounded by green hills, and the whole countryside was so peaceful. We walked a few minutes to see an old house covered with mud, a place where Grandpa, grandma and Dad had lived before, and only Granny and grandfather lived there. As soon as I entered the door, I saw grandpa and grandma. They were elderly people. They smiled when they saw our arrival. After greeting grandpa and grandma, we are going to sweep grandpas grave. We climbed the hillside behind the house. Sunny, bright spring days, both sides began to busy road. The small green grass shows the small head, the busy ant in the spring transportation, the spring bamboo shoots also sneak out the small head, the mountain path is really interesting, while the chicken, the duck and us play, and the little sheep and the puppy race us in a moment. The distant green wheat fields and golden rape flowers add a bright color to the hometown of spring. After a while, we came to Grandpas tomb. My father took three bow to Grandpas gravestone with my mother and me. How I wish Grandpa would live beside us and enjoy this wonderful life with us.

我自以为无愧于技校中专三年，刚入学时，我曾为身为技校中专生而懊丧过。但很快，我选择了坦然面对。因为我深信，是金子在任何处所都会发光。所以我确信，技校中专生的前程也会有光亮、光辉的一天。

通过这三年的学习使我理解了很多。

专业知识方面：具备扎实的理论基本，较为精通专业知识，有较强的领悟才华和自学才干，能利用各种仪表，(电工电子专业)能进行电路分析，通过与课程相关的各类实践与实习的锻炼和课余常制作各种电路和维修电器，具有了一定的经验和动手才干，能动手对打算机系统进行维护和管理，对各种网络体系结构有一定理解，能进行windows9x/XX局域网的维护和管理。对单片机编程有一定的读写才干，熟练利用各种软件，例如：office系列的办公软件和电路设计和protel电路设计软件，dreamweaver网页设计软件等;并能对电力系统进行维护和管理，已通过了电工考察并拿到电工证。

工作才干方面：一直担当班中的班干部工作，有较强的任务心和集体名誉感，工作认真细致，受到老师和同学的认可。

行为思想方面：作风正派，待人诚恳，能较好处理人际关系，处事冷静稳健，对生活有敏锐的洞察力和较强的逻辑分析才干，能合理地统筹安排生活和工作中的事务，有良好的生活规律和习惯。

其他方面：爱好广泛、喜好社交活动、打球、搞制作等，在做球类裁判有一定的兴趣和才干。

从那天真幼稚的我，经过那人生的挫折和坎坷，到现在成熟、慎重的我。使我清楚了一个道理，人生不可能存在一帆风顺的事，只有自己英勇地面对人生中的每一个驿站。当然，三年中的我，曾也悲伤过、失落过、苦恼过，这缘由于我的不足和弊病。但我检查了，这只是上天给予的一种考验，是不能跌倒的。技校中专生的我们应该善用于扬长避短的方法来促进自己，提高自己的综合水平才干。

这三年的锻炼，给我仅是初步的经验积累，对于迈向社会远远不够的。因此，面对过去，我无怨无悔，来到这里是一种明智的选择;面对现在，我努力拼搏;面对将来，我等候更多的挑战。战胜艰难，抓住每一个机遇，信赖自己一定会演绎出杰出的一幕。
