My topic today is “ to Be a Confident Person.”

我从小就生活在衣食无忧的家庭，虽然爸爸常和妈妈说穷养儿，富养女，可我知道，他们也就是说说而已，对于我这个儿子的要求几乎都是百般满足的，也许，在别人看来，这就是幸福，可说心里话，我一点都感觉不到，直到有一天，我才真正的感觉到自己是幸福的。

那是我九周岁生日的那天，由于高兴，爸妈都多喝了几杯，在从酒店下楼的时候，他们都忙着自己急急的往回走，在走了不远的拐角处，妈妈也许是见我没有跟上他们，突然的停住了脚步，满脸怒容的返回，正准备好好训斥我做事拖拉的时候，我第一次看到了妈妈张着嘴巴惊讶不已的表情，一时间在酒店楼梯上的行走的人都停下了脚步，静得几乎听得到绣花落地的声音，看到妈妈那种发自内心的高兴的泪水哗哗的顺着脸颊流着，我仿佛听到了妈妈流在泪水里的潜台词：孩子，你真棒。就在我不解的皱起眉头的时候，听到了姑妈，大姨，还有酒店服务员几乎同时发出的声音，我脸一下子脸红红的不知所措起来。

It was sunny and hot today. I got up early at half past six. I read English

1Learning Style

Educators have known for a long time that people learn in different ways. That is why teachers present information in various forms. For example, as well as explaining a new language, language teachers often provide other learning experiences such as books, charts, videos, audio cassettes, songs, debates and group work. In this way, all students in a class have an opportunity to learn in the way that best suits them.

In the last 50 years or so, researchers have been studying learners in an attempt to identify all the possible learning styles that humans use. They have found that we can very roughly divide people into three groups — those who learn best through seeing, those who learn best through listening and those who learn best through moving, doing or touching.

Some research has identified eight distinct learning styles, and researchers have made up tests to find out which of these learning styles best suits different people. These tests show that, although most people have one dominant style of learning, they are also able to use other learning styles effectively. Some people even seem to have many different learning styles.

The advantage of knowing what kind of learner you are is that you can then study in the way that best suits your learning style.

I read a piece of news recently. It says that in Japan marly businessmen ave selling fresh air to customers.and now it is becoming more and more popular. Why? --Fresh air is getting less and less in Japan, and so is it in the U. S. A.

In fact, environmental pollution is a very serious problem the whole world is facing.

it is mainly caused by the waste products released from artificial substances, industrial

production and increased consumption of goods. Bedsides, the use of chemical substances

in agriculture also causes environmental pollution. Look at the sky, you can see that dense smoke is being released from the high and big chimneys; those dirty and poisonous substances are flowing into the rivers that we use for drinking water and millions of tons of waste products are heaping around us.

How to change this condition? More and more countries are trying to work out some effective means to bring it under control, but no great success has been made.

My Father

There is always a brilliant image living in my heart. That is my dear father. Seen through the eyes of many other people, father seems to be a very ordinary person. But he is quite extraordinary in my eyes, I have never lost my wonder at his good-personalities such as diligence, devotion, care, optimism ever since my childhood.Being a farmer, father works very hard in the fields all the year round. He works from dawn till dusk every day and even till midnight when it is the harvest season. He seldom enjoys leisure with other farmers even if the farm work is not much. Dragon Boat Festival is a very grand festival in China. It is to

commemorate Qu Yuan, a great patriotic poet in the Warring States period. Now

Chinese people still continue this custom, even a legal festival.

continuously. I cant wait to peel off the zongzi leaf and eat it with relish.

After eating zongzi, my father took me to watch the dragon boat race. There

are lots of people here, and the traffic is very busy! The race started, and

every team is ready to go. With a burst of gunfire, each dragon boat flies

across the water like an arrow. The audience cheered and shouted, cheering and

encouraging for the contestants. The contestants listened with confidence and

strove hard to paddle, and the water splashed everywhere. Each dragon boat

chased after each other. At last, the laggard No. 1 finally caught up with the

far ahead No. 2. The audience couldnt help cheering. There was a sea of joy

everywhere. Ah! This is the most unforgettable day for me.

云霄，一个美丽、和谐的地方，我们的村庄也是一个幽美宜居之地。我们一家三口住在一幢二层半的楼房里，一层半是今年刚刚建造上去的，装修得蛮漂亮。楼房前面有一个不小的庭院，种满了花草，我周末常常在院子里的石桌上读书写字。院子里有一棵玉兰树，每到开花的季节，我们的房间里都充满着浓郁的玉兰花香，让人不禁陶醉其间。

自从进入初中，我觉得我懂事多了，不再像小学那时候，常闹些小情绪。在家里经常帮妈妈做做家务，烧饭洗衣拖地板，听爸妈的话，可是一个乖乖女哦。堂姐到漳州工作，见面也少了，平时就用手机、QQ相互联系。以前我们两姐妹常常玩闹争执，现在不会那么幼稚了，见面的机会也少，会互相让着对方，堂姐也经常从漳州网购一些东西寄给我。

我有一个爱我的妈妈，她长得不高，有点胖。不过，她为了这个家所付出的汗水并不比爸爸少。她每天都是早出晚归，有时会早点回来，但这样的情况不多。

记得有一次，我因为急匆匆来学校而忘记了拿伞，隔天雨下得很大，我没有雨伞，在学校寄宿不是很方便。这时，一通电话打来了，是妈妈。她跟我说，她还在忙着，叫人帮我把雨伞拿来了。那一刻，我的心有种说不出的感觉，我想，这应该就是母爱了吧。

我还有一个疼我的爸爸，他很高，天塌下来有他顶着。爸爸很疼爱我，把我当做家里的小公主，捧在手里怕摔着，含在嘴里怕化了。他就是这样的疼我，所以我老是喜欢“老爸、老爸”的叫着。

因为学校宿舍还没有安装热水器，我比较怕冷，所以让我爸买一个热水瓶给我。我以为爸爸会隔天再送来给我，可是我那天下午打电话给他，晚上爸爸就把热水瓶买来给我了。有这样一个疼你的爸爸，你说能不幸福吗？

我现在还在读书，还是个拖油瓶。但我非常爱我的爸妈，周末回家，我总会给爸妈讲些有趣的事和笑话，让他们暂时忘却工作的辛苦，能更好地休息放松一下。等我长大后，我会用心照顾我的爸爸妈妈，回报每个爱我的人，因为有他们的关爱、支持，我的生活充满了阳光，充满了幸福。

先从吃的说起吧！30年前我们吃的都是一些红薯、野菜。过着有了上顿没有下顿的日子，一年到头吃不到肉，米饭盛在碗里是一粒不剩，过着集体制的生活，吃的菜，都没有油腥味儿，可以说是纯味道，而现在呢，条件好的，大鱼大肉，就算不怎么富裕的，每天的饭也不愁吃，像现在的我们只吃瘦肉，不吃肥肉，并且还很挑食，这正是因为我们生活水平已经提高了，我们已步入了幸福的“小康”生活，30年前的我们住的是土房、平房，烧的是木材和煤炭，对环境的污染也很大，再看现在，家家步入了电器化的时代，都喜欢使用对大气没有污染的燃料，人们的思想观念在转变，以前大人们不重视学习的重要性，认为学与不学一个样，现在每家每户都希望孩子能够走入大学校园，学习科学文化知识，尤其是农民伯伯，认识到了科学的重要性，以前我们出行都是走路、骑自行车，而现在我们有自己的私家车，在城市里还有公共汽车、的士，甚至连出远门都很方便，像飞机、火车、轮船，无论去哪里，交通都很便利。

改革开放以来，国家大力提倡物质文明和精神文明共同发展，影视歌舞，读书看报，琴棋书画，花鸟虫鱼，上网冲浪，旅游远足，运动健身等，这些过去属于富人娱乐项目进入寻常百姓家，大大丰富了百姓的业余生活，改革开放以来，随着国家医疗制度的改革，从建立健全城镇职工基本医疗保障制度，到新型农村合作医疗卫生事业的公益得到较好的诠释。人享有基本医疗服务成为可能。许多居民家庭没有后顾之忧，不再害怕得病，加上家庭收入和生活条件逐步提高，居民平时从衣食住行之处开始关注自己的身心健康，过去的“大病小治，小病不治”的现象有了较大的改变。

“酒中仙”爷爷

我的爷爷真可谓是一个不折不扣的“酒中仙”。

爸爸最大的特点就是拍马屁。拍谁的马屁呢？当官的？妈妈的？NO！NO！NO！是拍我的马屁。嘻嘻，想不到吧！他可是我最忠实的“粉丝”。一件事如果我说“对”，他就说：“可不是？就是那么一回事！”我说地球是方的，他就说：“可不是？要是圆的，我走快了，不就滑到地球的另一端去了……”这些滑稽搞笑的话语，常常令我啼笑皆非……

“女巫”妈妈

我的妈妈可是家中最勤劳的“女巫”。为什么称她为“女巫”呢？因为她有一本神奇的“魔法书”，只要妈妈说出愿望就会梦想成真。

爸爸不会理财，“哦，没关系！”妈妈开始抱起那本厚厚的“魔法书”，记忆那些持家的咒语……

“小天使”弟弟
