那时候中国成立不久，放眼望去各家各户都是土坯房，一家子五六人全挤在一起，妈妈说，那时候田是大家的。劳动是最大的经济来源，家里唯一的牛也是靠到处吃野草养的。家里人吃大锅饭，只能勉强填饱肚子。钱并不多只有十来块钱养活一大家子人不容易，上学就更别说了。爸爸告诉我，那时候家里人多，钱都得一点点的省着花，生病了，是没钱去医院的，医药费太贵了。父母虽然心疼孩子，可也要为家里的生计考虑，如果看了病，钱就不够了，全家就得饿肚子。小病扛着，大病就用些土方子来医，上学了，家里人只能供大孩子上，而小孩子只好劳动了。我庆幸自己没有生在那个年代，肚子痛就把我弄得呼天喊地的，哪能受得住那样艰苦的考验。

不过时代进步得很快，自我识字以来我知道没有共产党，就没有新中国。老一辈的人告诉我，是党让我们过上了好的生活，生活美着呢！乡下的奶奶邹着她那小小的嘴，坐在小板凳上拍着我的头告诉我：多亏了党啊！我们乡下的生活好多了。不愁吃，不愁穿，不愁没钱上医院，咱们的党是阳光，孩子们就是那小种子，有一天长成大树。她摸着我的头笑着。

父母希望我能好好学，经常指着我的鼻尖说：国家给了你免费的教科书，不好好学对得起党吗？医疗保险的设立也为人民生活带来了福音，大病没钱去医院，如果没有党我或许还生活在父母的那个年代吧！会看到多少孩子生病而死，多少孩子不能上学，多少孩子饿肚子。

有了党的好政策，才有了新一代的新生活。
