Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.

We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.

Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.

Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. 我很清楚的记得，我们没一年差不多都要写一次启芳亭。它坐落在学校的东南角。老师每次都要这么说：“它代表了我们学校。”至于为什么代表，我一直不清楚。也不必解释。

现在我可以描述老师当时要求我们的宗旨：对于学校的事物需要加以赞美，要充分体现对学校的热爱之情。因为我从没听见语文老师教我们时说过其它的什么，除开要赞美还是要赞美。

老师教我们写启芳亭的第一步，是这样的：先写它位于学校的哪个方位，然后再写自己非常喜爱它，还有如何如何喜爱，到了什么程度。所以，写出来的作文，大部分都如出一辙。

第二步：从时间顺序或者空间顺序来写。eg：按时间顺序写的内容，基本是这样的：春天，万物复苏，启芳亭也显得格外有生机，一片勃勃生气的样子。到了夏天，启芳亭成了我们嬉戏的好地方，它像一把伞为我们遮蔽烈日。它就是我们的妈妈。。。。。。

没有阳光，就没有万物的生长;没有雨露，就没有百花的芳香;没有父母，就没有我们的生命;但如果没有老师的教诲，就没有我们的前进与成长。所以，我们应该心怀感恩之情去面对老师。“捧着一颗心来，不带半根草去。”这是老师们诲人不倦，无私奉献的精神体现。这种无私，伟大的爱给我们温暖和力量，促使每一个学生实现自己的梦想，到达胜利的彼岸。

“学春蚕吐丝丝丝不断，做蜡烛照亮路路通明。”千百年来，多少人把老师比作春蚕，比作蜡烛。他们呕心沥血，无私奉献，使多少祖国的花朵成为华夏的栋梁之才!谁又能知道，这其中包含着多少汗水与心血，也许老师们那丝丝白发，斑斑皱纹就是最好的见证。

但，就算把老师比作绿叶，比作红烛，也颂不尽他们的奉献和成果啊!老师不是绿叶，却在滋养绿叶;不是红烛，却能照彻心灵，因为在我们的眼睛里映出的永远是他们的身影。是老师把我们生命中的每一个音符都谱成了世界上最美的旋律。我真想取出串串爆竹，燃放声声祝福，用绚丽的焰火为老师唱支世间最美的歌。

同学们，请记住这比山还高，比海还深的师恩吧，让感恩的心在我们心底默默涌动，直到永远……
