众所周知，猫是捕鼠的能手。猫之所经要捕捉老鼠，大概是因为老鼠抢先坐了本来属于猫的十二生肖的座位；又或者是因为猫知道老鼠会危害人类，所以要警恶惩奸。猫的眼睛晚上是会光的，四肢强健，爪子锋利，经及它那灵敏的听觉，都是为能够捕捉老鼠而赋的有利条件。一只猫一晚能捕数只老鼠，的确是老鼠的“克星”。

猫晚上要捉“贼”，白天当然要睡觉。猫选择的睡处很特别。它喜欢睡在鞋上、椅子上和没有门的柜里，因此，如果柜里放的是书籍就遭糕了。不过，猫是很爱整洁的，当它要大便的时候，它通常会到有沙土的地方进行。之后，它又会用前腿拨沙土将粪便掩盖住。

猫确实是一种可爱的动物。
