这本书写的是一个老人在经历了漫长的风雨之后，终于捕到了一条大鱼的故事。但是他最后却因为意外，失掉了那条大鱼，他非但没有感到沮丧，反而更增强了生活的信心和信念！从此，更坚定了自己的意志和步伐，用坚毅来面对生活中的风雨，用坚强来应对生命中的挑战。他的故事也给人们许多的启迪。

其实，我们在生活中缺乏的正是这种坚强的品格。有些人一遇到什么事就会退缩，其实这种事不对的做法，他们应该挺起胸脯，用坚强的意志和果敢的品质来面对这些困难和挫折，从而获得成功。文中介绍的那个小男孩也是一个非常孝顺的孩子。他虽然和这个老人素不相识，但是他却在每时每刻都帮助这个老人。其实这正是我们生活中缺乏的一种品质——关爱。

关爱，在我们生活中可谓是处处存在。但是我们现在的社会有些关爱，甚至成了利益的驱使！回想起《老人与海》老人与孩子那种淳朴的关爱之情，便使人想到了现在当今社会上那些老年人品质低下，非要和年轻人钱的种种不良事迹！所以我们更应该学会关爱协会，关心他人，这样才能在生活中更好地施展自己！

书中还有非常迷人的景色描写，以及趣味横生的对话描写，这些均表现了老人坚强的品格和顽强不屈的意志，其实这些运用到我的写作中必定能使文章增色不少！
