Since the winter last year,the smog has occurred a lot of times.it has done great harm to our daily life.many traffic accidents happened just because of the heavy smog weather,more and more people have to go to see the doctor because the serious disease caused by the smog,quite a lot of flights have to be put off,a great number of people have to stay at home for fear of the poisonous air caused by the smog.

People have realized the great harm caused by the smog and the importance of protecting the environment.people all over the country are taking measures to reduce the smog weather.the government suggests people go to work or school with the public traffic, such as the bus and the underground.Also we should plant more trees.

During the summer holiday, I spent much time in reading. I finished one of the four masterpieces ofChina, Journey to the West. It’s really an interesting book, telling many adventurous stories. I had watched the TV series before, but I found that the book is much interesting. Except for the adventurous experiences, we still can learn something from this book. We should be brave and confident to ourselves, no matter how many difficulties we meet. Our fellows and teamwork is important to us. When we are in trouble, they are the person we can rely on. 《老人与海》讲述了一个这样的故事：一个老渔夫连续84天都没有捕到鱼，为了证明自己，他又再次出海，遇到了一条重1500多磅的大马林鱼。经过整整3天3夜的搏斗，渔夫终于杀死了大鱼，可大鱼的血引来了鲨鱼群，他又与鲨鱼搏斗。回到码头时，大鱼已经被鲨鱼吃光，只剩下鱼骨架了。

这本书虽然只有150多页，但写得很精彩，让人只要拿起来就放不下了。我印象最深的是老渔夫和大鱼搏斗的最后一刻的场景：老人与大鱼都筋疲力尽，身上都是伤，他们都在顽强地坚持着，都想成为最后的赢家，最后，老人艰难地战胜了大鱼。看到这里，我想到我自己在学习和生活中遇到困难时，有时候会逃避。比如体育课里我最差的是坐位体前屈，可我平时也不好好去练习，成绩一直没有进步，没有克服这个难关。想到这点我觉得自己要向老渔夫好好学习，在困难面前不低头，要迎难而上，做到最好。

从这本书里我懂得了一个道理：人的一生不可能一帆风顺，就象船在海上航行一样，总会遇到一些风浪，我们要做的就是勇敢面对，总有一天，我们会到达鸟语花香的彼岸。

妈妈告诉我，《老人与海》是一本比较深奥的书，书里有很多道理我现在还不懂，我以后要多读几遍。这是一本会让我受益终身的好书！
