About ten years ago when I was an undergraduate in college， I was working as an intern at my Universitys Museum of Natural History. One day while working at the cash register in the gift shop， I saw an elderly couple come in with a little girl in a wheelchair.

As I looked closer at this girl， I saw that she was kind of perched on her chair. I then realized she had no arms or legs， just a head， neck and torso. She was wearing a little white dress with red polka dots.

As the couple wheeled her up to me I was looking down at the register. I turned my head toward the girl and gave her a wink. As I took the money from her grandparents， I looked back at the girl， who was giving me the cutest， largest smile I have ever seen.

All of a sudden her handicap was gone and all I saw was this beautiful girl， whose smile just melted me and almost instantly gave me a completely new sense of what life is all about. She took me from a poor， unhappy college student and brought me into her world; a world of smiles， love and warmth.

That was ten years ago. Im a successful business person now and whenever I get down and think about the troubles of the world， I think about that little girl and the remarkable lesson about life that she taught me.

我的家乡是地处湘鄂赣三省交界的宝地——通城县。我在这里出生，在这里成长，却不曾对它有过深入的、全面的了解。直到前些日子，我们学校开展了一次校外实践活动——天岳关扫墓，才使我对它有了一个比较全面、比较深刻的认识。

We shouldn’t throw away rubbish everywhere. We want to recycle, reduce, reuse things .Don’t waste things. This saves money and reduces pollution. Use things for as long as possible. We don’t use plastic bags. We must plant more trees and stop the people cutting them .We hope our world becomes more and more beautiful。

Since the invention of computer, the world has come to the information stage. Today, people can do almost all the things through the Internet. They work and shop and communicate by this convenient way. As the information can be received from all kinds of resources, some people choose to search the Internet to get the diagnose before they go to see the doctor. If the doctor tell them something that is different from what they see from the Internet, then they will question about the diagnose. Online medical service indeed helps people to get the idea of their sickness, but it can’t be trustworthy, because who knows whether the information is given by a professional doctor. What’s more, the accurate diagnose should be checked the body, while online diagnose can’t offer this service, so it is unreliable.

我的习惯(My Habbits)

I have many bad habits, but there is one always makes me upset. I like nodding off in class. Nearly everyone will have this bad habit in summer. But I will nod off in every class and every season. Usually, I will nod off when the class begins about ten minutes. I hate this. I have tried my best to correct it. But I failed in the end. This habit troubles me lot.

藏而不露，是一种境界。冰山虽大，大部分却没在海里;大楼虽高，最重要的还是那埋在地下的地基。主席早年怀一腔报国热血来到长沙师范，入学后作文成绩的却总是不及格。后来，经老师袁吉六指点，他一改以往空有气势却乏含蓄的风格，在成为革命伟人的路上，也写下许多雄浑壮阔的诗篇。年轻人的文章往往气势激扬，但真正的大家，其文字读来往往平易隽永，而其中深意却如海面下的冰山，需深加挖掘。高楼若无稳定的地基则必将倒塌，而人若想臻至更高境界，就必须学会藏而不露。

藏而不露，是一种智慧。越王勾践藏而不露，卧薪尝胆，换来“三千越甲可吞吴”;庄子藏而不露，安贫乐道，换来一生安闲游世;司马懿藏而不露，韬光养晦，换来最终的权倾朝野;清雍正帝即位前与八贤王争夺皇储之位，他不徐不疾，不显山不露水，终成一代英主。而李白虽文才盖世，但他太过狂放，不知藏而不露，终其一生也没能为人所容。有时候，“藏”自己的才华看似会丧失机遇，但殊不知，“藏”是以退为进，一时的“藏”，为的是之后的“露”。藏而不露，实乃人生之大智慧。

藏而不露，淡然处世，方能游于世间而无所待，从心所欲而不逾矩。
