In modern society we are often sorry to see that people are reluctant to

help others out, not to mention helping a stranger; offering a helping hand

seems to be out of accord with the times.

Then what’s wrong with our society? Some people may say that facing

skyrocketinghousing prices, expensive medical expenditure and soaring commodity

prices, they have no choice but to struggle to make a living, and thus it would

be impossible to spare a hand to help others because it may bring them into

trouble. Therefore, standing by indifferently is their only choice.

However, is it necessary to be selfish in order to survive, or in order to

The history of life on earth has been a history of interaction between living things and their surroundings. To a large extent, the physical form and the habits of the earths vegetation and its animal life have been molded by the environment. 这次我们来到的是火车站，这里人来人往，有的从这里赶到远方看望亲友，有的急急忙忙从火车上下来赶回家......这时，一位老奶奶从不远处走来，手中提着两大袋包裹，豆大的汗水从脸上滚落下来。我和孙悟空看到这里，正准备去帮助老奶奶，这时一位姑娘走到她身边，说道：“老奶奶，这两袋包裹太沉了，我来帮您拿吧。”说着，她顺手把老奶奶手上的一袋包裹拎了起来。悟空笑眯眯地说:“人间真是有爱啊!”我爽快地说道：“是呀!我们应该回家吃饭了，大圣。”“好!”他驾着云，把我送回了家。

午饭后，我们又开始搜索有没有需要帮助的人。飞着，飞着......我们来到了一个贫困地区，那儿的孩子们穿着单薄破烂的衣裳，翻山越岭赶着上学去。看到这种情景，大圣一挥手，就变出来十几件衣服。我们挨家挨户地给她们送衣服，那些居民看见我们，热泪盈眶。我们从中午一直忙碌到傍晚，开心极了!

一天很快就在忙碌中过去了，当夕阳西下时，大圣依依不舍地说道：“时候不早了，你该回家了。谢谢你陪我度过了一段快乐的时光。

这真是一个神奇的一天呀!看来，只要伸出援手，人间处处是爱。

开展有意的活动

为配合我市开展“创建文明城市(build a civilized city)”活动，学校举办以“How to Behave

Well”为主题的英语征文比赛。现在请你根据所给提示内容，用英语写一篇参赛短文。

How to Behave Well?

In order to build a civilized city, we students should try our best to

behave well in the activities.

Its a good habit to keep our clothes clean and tidy. Our city should be

kept clean every day. Dont throw litter or spit about. Its good manners to say

"Thank you" and "Please" and so on. We should never say dirty words. Be friendly

to others and always ready to help the people in need. For example, when we are

on a bus, we should give our seats to the old and the women with babies. We

should also obey traffic rules. When the traffic lights are red, we should stop.

And wed better not talk or laugh loudly in public.

If everyone behaves well, our city will be more beautiful and more

attractive.

在这一段时间里，我们开展了“与诗同行”的活动，在本次活动中，我们了解了诗歌的起源，学习了如何欣赏诗歌，学习了在生活中如何运用诗，并且自己动手尝试写诗，从中体会到了诗歌文化博大精深。

在活动中，同学们分别收集了诗词资料。我负责收集了现代诗和古诗。我尽情的欣赏这些诗人千古传颂的作品，我新认识了一些诗人，如柳永、高适，还有唐宋四大家—关汉卿、郑关祖、白朴、马致远。我又认识了现代诗人郭沫若、徐志摩、桂文亚、雨果、狄金森等。我知道了我国最早的诗经总集—《诗经》，距今已有两千年的历史了，它凝集了我国古代人民智慧的结晶。

我还知道了诗歌如何分类。按题材分，有山水诗、咏物诗、边塞诗;按形式分，可以分为格律诗、自由诗;按题材分，分为童话诗、寓言诗、散文诗……

这次活动让我感觉在诗的海洋里徜徉的感觉真是太奇妙了。如果把是比作沙漠，我觉得我只得到了一粒小沙子;如果把诗比作细雨，我只得到了一滴小雨滴;如果把诗比作天空中的星星，我只得到了群星中最小的一颗。我要继续在诗的海洋中遨游，尽情感受诗歌的无限乐趣。

秋风悄悄地吹，秋雨轻轻地下，秋天不知不觉的来到了我们身边。那就让我们一起去寻找秋天吧！

不知从什么时候起，天气转凉了。大家往日的半袖短裤已换成了衬衫长裤，他们仿佛在告诉我：“小朋友，秋天已经到了。”秋姑娘像一位楚楚动人的少女，披散着她金黄的长发，穿着色彩斑斓的衣衫，为大地带来了阵阵凉爽。

你看，田野里到处都是丰收的景象，稻子变得金灿灿得，还笑弯了腰，等着人们来收割；高粱像喝了酒的醉汉一样，脸变得红彤彤的；玉米宝宝也从叶子里探出头来，露出了一排排整齐的牙齿；小麦正在和大地窃窃私语呢，“真是稻花香里说丰年”！农民伯伯也变得喜笑颜开。

哟！公园里变的热闹非凡。树叶就像一个个伞兵，从树枝上迫不及待地跳了下来。地上的落叶好似一张金黄的地毯，踩在上面咯吱咯吱的，一天的烦恼全没了。松树还仍就穿着它那碧绿的军装，挺拔的保卫着人们，枫树也穿上了红色的衣裳，为秋天增添美丽的色彩。

噢，找到了，我找到了秋天，认识了秋天，它不仅硕果累累，还景色宜人。我爱你秋天。
