According to a recent article on Newsweek concerning children’s’ education,

there is an increasing number of parents worrying their kids to an extreme

extent, depriving them of independence and freedom by keeping them around

parents all the time.

Some people applaud this phenomenon, suggesting that kids’ safety is the

most important. Thus, they’d better not enter the hazardous society without

supervision unless they become adults. From my point of view, some of their

opinion is correct but keeping children away from independence is a completely

erroneous decision. The reasons are as follows:

First and foremost, “locking kids” may hinder their healthy growth, both

mentally and physically. The kids who are locked may have heavy reliance on

their parents, as their comprehensive skills such as communication skills or

cooperative spirit being prevented from developing.

Secondly, what these parents fail to see is the fact that the crime rate

and accidents aren’t on a rapid rise. It is the abuse of mass media that make

crimes and violence more scary. The parents, who love their kids so much, are

completely forced to live under the illusion that our society is full of riots

or threats of accidents. Thus, kids can be allowed to have more freedom such as

walking to school by himself, for instance.

From what has been discussed above, we may safely draw a conclusion that

kids should be given more freedom by parents’ effort. At the same time, parents

should take many factors into consideration such as the time restriction for

children and the evaluation to kids’ maturity and capability. Only then can they

enjoy a safe and meaningful childhood.

Today, I look out of the window, outside a snow-white, the original snow, this is the first snow in this winter! 今天，我起来往窗外一看，外边一片雪白，原来下雪了，这可是今年冬天里下的第一场雪啊!我背上书包，走在大街上，大街上的雪上面都印着脚印，有大的，有小的……路边的小树杈上有一些雪，好像冬爷爷给小树披上了一件白色的大衣呢!冬爷爷给小麦盖上了一层厚厚的棉被。来到校园里，冬青叶子上积满了雪，校园里的松树就像一棵棵圣诞树，非常好看。教学楼后面的操场上一片雪白，有好多小同学在那儿滚雪球、打雪仗，不知是谁已经堆了一个大大的雪人了。

今年冬天里的第一场雪真美啊!

Many people will have an idol in their inner heart. There is one in my

mind. Maybe I cannot say that she is my idol, but she is truly the person has

influenced me the most. She is my mother. When I was very small, she always

telling me that I need to study hard to get more chances to be educated, though

I was a girl. It was her that I earned the chance to go to school. She liked

reading, and sometimes she would give some books for me to read. Now, reading is

one of my hobbies. She always respected my grandma, and took care of her

carefully once she was sick. From her, I know the virtue of respecting the old.

My mother influences my whole life. I love her.

在家乡的端午节中，有很多习俗，在离开家乡的这些年里，不经意的深深回忆起来，总觉得有种尘封的感觉!掐指一算，有近几年没有过个正宗的家乡的端午节了!

在家乡，端午节的前个晚上，各家都要备一盆水，水里面泡上艾叶，然后放在外面，在端午节的早上，全家洗脸的水，都要从这一盆水里面取，人多的家庭可要节省着用了，免得有人没的水洗脸。有小孩子的人家，一大早要早早把小孩子叫起来，到外面的池塘，河里，或者湖边去洗澡，据说这样可以洗去一年的晦气，而且还有避邪的作用，为什么各家要用这样的水洗脸?小孩子要到外面去洗澡呢?据说，在端午节的前晚，月宫里的嫦娥，会让捣了一年药的玉兔，把药撒向人间，让人们洗去疾病和苦难，而且还有避邪的作用!这里面还要插上一个小插曲就是，在月宫上面，我们总是可以看到有一棵桂花树，树下有个貌似人形的玉兔总是跪着作捣药的动作，所以在小时候，晚上闹人了，老人们总会哄小孩子说，走走走，到外面看玉兔捣药去，小孩子们总是记得，月宫里的玉兔捣了一年的药，终于在5月4日的晚上悄悄的撒向了人间，所以，小孩子们在5月5的早上，总是争着去外面洗澡，觉得用玉兔撒了药的水来洗澡是件神圣的事情，而没有去外面洗澡的，只有用放在屋外面的水来洗一下脸了!当然，去外面洗澡的孩子，要身体好才行，以免感冒，因为在记忆里，5月5那天的早上，还是很冷的，也听在外面洗了澡的哥哥回来说，洗完，好冷。所以，我和弟弟只有在家用艾叶泡过的水洗脸，那样的水，泡了一夜艾叶后，颜色会变的绿绿的，还伴着一股艾叶特有的香味!用这样的水洗完了脸，心里总是有种安全感，在想：在这一年里，我又是健康的了!

其次，在5月5日的早上，各家要吃煮鸡蛋和刚刨下来的新鲜的蒜!鸡蛋和蒜在锅里煮时，水里面也要放上艾叶!经过放了艾叶的水一煮，鸡蛋和蒜都会变成另外一种颜色，煞是好看!更是有一股艾叶特有的味道!艾叶同时也是一味中药，具体治什么病，偶就不知道了!在吃早饭时，这些鸡蛋月蒜和粽子，都要摆上饭桌了，同时在饭桌上，还要摆一样，那就是酒壶，而酒壶里面的酒，和以往喝的酒要有一点不同了。有什么不同呢?那就是在酒里面，加了一味雄黄!酒也被泡成了雄黄的颜色，喝了这样的雄黄酒，也是为了避邪!有小孩子的人家，还要把喝盛的雄黄酒，擦在小孩子的耳朵上面，所以，吃过饭出去玩耍时，可以看到到处都是耳朵被抹了雄黄的小孩子，这不能不说也是一种特色吧!如果细看的话，还会发现这些小孩子的身上，都会戴了一个香囊，手月脚月脖子月手指头都会缠了五色线的，这样的香囊里面装的香料同样也是艾叶。五色线，顾名思义，就是用五种颜色的绣花线拈成的，这样的说法是为了避免蛇虫来咬，因为蛇的颜色就象五色线。戴几天后，把它取下来扔掉，就会变成了蛇，如果戴了几天还不扔掉，会变成了蛇来咬人的!

在端午节这天早上，各家还要把艾叶插在门的两天，有点象清明节时插柳枝一样，这样的说法也是为了驱病避邪。走在村子里，袅绕的炊烟中，伴着缕缕的艾叶的清香，和着露珠的清新气息，给这样一个早晨增添了浓浓的特有的节日气氛.

许多年过去了，每当这天，总是能隔着时空闻到记忆里远远的家乡，在这天早晨漂来的浓浓的艾香!也总是在这天的早上，想起那盆绿绿的艾叶水小心翼翼的神圣的轻拂在脸上的丝丝凉意，也总是在这天早上，想起那胸前佩戴着的秀美的各种各样的香囊!也总是在这天早上，想起耳朵上引以骄傲的红红的雄黄酒香，也总是在这天早上，想起吃着飘有艾香的鸡蛋直到把肚皮撑的鼓鼓的还要在兜里揣一个去上学!也总是在这一天，想起妈妈编的美丽的五色线与小朋友们比谁的漂亮时彼此羡慕的眼光!也总是在这一天，深深的，想起我的家门，想起我的父母!想起在家的幸福时光!

Nature, the environment which human beings live by, is magnificent and unique. There si only one earth with super living conditions in the universe. We should have cherished nature and preserved it. Conversely, however, we have been continually spoiling it, even to a shocking degree. Now lets see what we have dong.

Thousands of trees have been cut down per year, which has caused soil erosion. Hundreds of thousands of tons of CFCS have been left in the higher sky in the last decade which has led to the ozone layer leak above the South Pole that covers an area of that of the United States. Million tons of fuel containing nitrogen and sulphur have been consumed per year, which has eventually resulted in acid rain throughout the world.

Similarly, ecology has been affected as well. And considerable number of species have been extinct as the years go by many creatures which were common in the past are becoming less and less, even rare. The Tibet antelope, for instance, is a good example. Since the antelopes of Tibet have a part of fur on their body which can be made into a precious cape, driven by some lawless dealers many villagers killed antelopes excessively and shocking for the large suns of fortune. Because of this, the number of the antelopes of Tibet has sharply fallen from over one million to less than one hundred thousand. And whats more, the number has now decreased by 20 thousand per year. Qing Zang Platean, which was their homeland, is their tombs now.

This is how nature has suffered what we have done to it. However, nature and suffer any more. She lost her temper and could no longer possibly put up with humans. She gave humans harsh punishment, which she thought they deserved. The acid rain has caused the less of more than 100 billion dollars throughout the world per year. And because of desertification , soil is becoming more and more barren. The soil of many planes is now until for growing plants. The air is less fresh, and a lot of people even get many stranger diseases. Those are all the punishment of nature to humans pollution. On the other hand, human being suffer a lot as well.

So it leads to a serious of questions--

Why cant we live harmoniously with nature?

Why cant we set a balance between human and nature?

Why cant we pay more attention to nature and try to reserve it?

Therefore, before we take immediate measures to do something, we should be aware of the fact that "Conquering the nature" will never be our goal, instead, we should take the nature as our intimate friend. Preserving nature is not only preserving our home, but the civilization of human community as well.

又是一个严寒冬天，可我心却是暧，拉开柜子，那件布满补丁外套又重现在我视线里，回忆热潮又涌上来。

那天，北风呼呼地吹着，一片片雪花飘落在大地。我对着冻发红手直哈气，然后抬起头，对爷爷说爷爷，我好冷!爷爷慈祥地说别担心，爷爷帮你搓搓手，把外套给你。说完，把那件有着许多补丁外套给了我穿。

空地上，一个个过往行人都穿着暧大棉袄，戴着手套，在雪地里堆起了雪人，脸上绽放着笑脸。此时我也投去了羡慕眼神。一直以来，父母在外打工，是爷爷把我拉扯大，我点点滴滴都只有爷爷身影，从没感受过父母温暖。这时爷爷察觉到了我落寞，抚摸着我头笑着说没关系，爷爷也可以你一起来堆雪人。我笑了笑，牵着爷爷手，往家方向走去。

到家以后，我爷爷洗漱过后，互相道了晚安，便入睡了。第二天，雪下得异常大，整个天都被笼罩了，大地被铺上了一床床厚厚棉被。我正想去找爷爷，可得来消息确是爷爷因为寒冷病倒了，最后去了幸福天国，只把那件布满补丁外套留给了我。可能那时我还小，以为爷爷去了一个好地方，直到很久很久，爷爷再也没有回来过。

如今我又走在漫天飞雪街道上，看到一位老爷爷一位小女孩手拉手走在街上，一起嬉戏打闹，多么温馨画面，让我忍不住驻足停留。当小女孩冷了，那位爷爷赶紧脱下身上外套披在她身上;当小女孩手冻红了，那位爷爷赶紧帮她搓揉取暖;当小女孩想爸妈了，那位爷爷就抚摸着她头，安慰着她。见状我也动情地仰着头，感受着爷爷带给我温暖，曾几何时，这也是我爷爷画面。这时，一阵寒风扑面而来，我竟不觉得冷，因为我知道，爷爷外套会保护我，会帮我抵挡严寒。

天国是一个美丽地方，不知爷爷您在哪过得好吗?您现在是不是在天上唱着那首我最爱歌?您是不是也像我挂念您那样时时刻刻地挂念着我?我现在过得很好，感谢您给了我一个个温暖冬天，因此，我一生都感到温暖，只因那留有余温补丁外套。

My winter holiday is intersting, my winterholiday is very interesting.I can play a computer and watch aTV in the home.I still read some good books in the winter holiday.Because of the plan of value result of our school, let us time of few lesson remaining.Also opportunity to have no does the affair that likes to do.So, the winterholiday liked too to me.

But again schooled begins quickly, its be over means a kind of another life of beginning, my in the mind have a little longing , also have a little fear.Imagining to what freshman live is more.long for enjoyment,long for liberty.
