The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.

我们在消费时，应该尽量选择绿色消费，选购环保。例如洗衣粉，应购买和使用无磷洗衣粉，这样就可以减少磷对水的污染。用环保电池可以减少汞、铅对地面的污染。购买“绿色食品”，这样还可以引导农民进行绿色生产。

重复使用多次利用

在我们购买东西的时候，要把手中的钞票变成“绿色选票”，我们要购买一些可多次使用的产品，尽量少用一次性的产品，这样既省钱，又可以引导生产厂家进行生产转轨。我们应该买有利于环保的，有价值的东西，使购买的东西能物尽其用，使有限的资源可以循环使用，既节省资源，又减少环境污染。

分类回收循环再生

地球，是我们人类唯一就居住的星球。它无私地为人类提供各种资源，为人类生存作出了巨大的贡献。然而，地球却只是一个微小、美丽而脆弱的星球，我们大家都应该同心协力地保护它，维护地球的生态环境，让地球永远美丽、壮观。

尽管如此，生活在地球上的每一个人是否都在维护着地球的生态环境呢?不是的。就说我们东莞吧，许多外来员工十分不懂得保护环境。在街道、广场等地方乱扔垃圾。再加上工厂排出的废气和汽车的尾气，污染了城市。不仅使空气变得混浊，还对人类生存作出了威胁，有害我们得健康。

还有，如今世界上的许多不可再生资源正在面临着危机。如石油，在1973年10月，阿拉伯国家利用第四次阿以战争爆发的机会，在西方工业化国家已高度依赖石油进口维持其经济发展的情况下，突然大大减少石油产量。世界石油市场每天短缺500万桶以上，因而引发了世界第一次“石油危机”。像石油这样的不可再生资源，“危机”只是一个警告，枯竭才是它的归宿。它既可以把人类的物质文明高高托起，也可以在一夜间使之荡然无存。按目前的生产速度，世界石油储量将只能维持45年。

大家听了以上的资源情况，是否正在为此而焦急呢?对了，就让我们一起行动起来，保护资源，保护环境吧!现在不仅石油资源短缺，世界上还有许多自然资源正在面临着危机。从今天起，就让我们当起保护资源、环境的小卫士。首先，我们必须从身边的小事做起。一是节约水资源。如今，我国的水资源短缺是十分严重的，平时，我们应该节约用水量。开水龙头不能开得太大，开大了就会溅得四周都是水，很浪费。二是节约用电。我国发电量虽居世界第二位。但由于我国人口众多，每个人的电占有量很少，远远少于世界上的发达国家。特别是广大农村，用电更加困难。因此，在家中，或学校，我们都应该懂得节约用电。三是保护绿化。绿化对美化城市环境起到很大的作用。我们必须爱护花草，不要踩踏草坪，这样，我们的城市环境就会变得更美更宜人。四是不随地乱扔垃圾。乱扔垃圾是不保护环境的典型行为。我们人类不能随地乱扔垃圾，破坏环境。

美好的环境，丰富的地球资源，不仅需要大家共同的保护和建设，还需要我们从小养成良好的生活习惯——节约用水、节约用电、保护绿化、不乱扔垃圾等。记住：保护环境，保护资源，从我做起。

一个晴朗的早晨，我吃完早晨，出门晒太阳，一抬头就看到一片灰蒙蒙的天空，阳光不像从前那样明媚了，而是披了一层灰纱，我多么希望看到曾经的蓝天白云哪，为什么看不到蓝天白云了？是因为人类开了越来越多的工厂，工厂排放的污水和污气，不但污染了河水还污染了蓝蓝的天空。

人类发明了汽车、飞机，放出了数不清的污染气体，把天空变得乌黑乌黑的。人类砍伐树木，地球的绿洲也变成了沙漠。如果再开办工厂，那么河里的鱼儿会死，河水流到江里，江里的鱼儿也会死，江水流到海里，海里的鱼儿也会死去，动物都死亡了，那我们都吃什么呢？如果再不停地开车，那么空气污染会越来越严重，如果继续砍伐树木，那么有一天沙尘暴来了怎么办？总之，再这样下去，我担心会全军覆没，我怕地球也会灭亡！

这是因为从前的白云千姿百态：有的像绵羊，在天空中散步；有的像打老虎，把地上的小兔子吓跑；有的像一头大象，在天空中嬉戏。可现在的天空一片乌黑，从前的鱼儿在水里自由自在地快乐地游泳，可现在水里的鱼儿都死了。从前这茂密的森林，可现在变成了稀稀落落的一两棵树了。

总之，保护环境，从我做起，保护环境就是保护人类，拯救地球就是拯救未来！

地球是我们可爱的家，没有地球又怎么会有我们人类存在呢？

这类垃圾分类在21世纪是个热门的话题，在2019年上海成为全国首个垃圾分类城市；同年，大连在每个垃圾分类站设有监督管理员；现在垃圾分类不是靠自觉，而是变了质，变成了强制性分类。

冰川融化的元凶就是全球气候变暖。亚特兰蒂斯文明的沉没并非人为破坏，而是因为火山爆发引发海啸而淹没的。可现在威尼斯就不一样了，科学家预测，它将在二零四五年淹没。这可并非是自然灾害了。而是全球气候变暖而导致冰川融化使海平面上升，每年2厘米！别以为这个数目小，如果用相等容器装起来，那相当于好几栋楼啊！

物种灭绝也是环境恶化一大原因。地球上，每三分钟就会有一种生物灭绝，白鳍豚、穿山甲、狮子、山猫等都是濒临灭绝的物种。正因为人类过度开发，环境恶化，使它们无家可归最终死亡。

保护环境，不是一句口号。

每到星期日，我都会到楼下的公园去玩，那里的池水清澈见底，草很青，花朵鲜艳地绽开了美丽的笑脸。

刚走进公园，我瞬间呆住了，原来那么美丽的公园，现在变得乌烟瘴气，路过的行人都捂着鼻子，远远地离开了那条道路，我想：这样下去可不行，我得去查个清清楚楚！

第二天，我早早起来，戴上口罩，拿上垃圾袋，带上手套，走进公园，我看见池里的清水变成了飘满垃圾的灰水。草坪上，垃圾堆成了小山，花儿都枯死了。我想，一定是人们乱扔垃圾造成的。我把一些小纸片、零食袋……装进袋子里，直到垃圾袋满了，我才开始想办法，忽然，我想到了一个办法：叫一个清洁工人帮我一起清理垃圾。

我出了大门，就看见了一个清洁工人走了过来，我跑过去，对他说：“大爷，公园里有好多垃圾，您能帮帮我吗？”清洁工人赶紧走了进去，我也跑进去和清洁工人一起扫起地来，不一会儿，地就变得干干净净，干完活，大爷夸我真能干，我又找小区保安立一块牌子，上面写着“爱护环境，等于爱护我们的家”。我看了，心里美滋滋的，我想：以后我一定要爱护环境，同时，我也希望别人也和我一样要爱护环境。

“环保、环保”现在到处都在宣传。环保说起来很简单，可做起来就难了，人类生活中面临的最大问题就是环保。要解决这一问题我们必须从基础做起，从每个人身边的小事做起。 "Environmental protection, environmental protection" is now promoting everywhere.Environmental protection is simple to say, but it is difficult to do. “环保”就在我们身边，需要人人动手。我们每天在生活、学习与工作中都会产生许多的生活垃圾。假如我们能注意卫生，不随地乱扔东西，自觉把实在不能再用的东西丢进垃圾桶，使市容更整洁。有些废物对环境破坏是很大的，例如，我们购买东西时常常使用塑料袋，一些人用完了塑料袋就到处乱扔，不论扔到地上或是扔到河里，都造成了白色污染。

废电池具有非常大的毒性，扔到河里，一旦电池中的水银混入地下水，则可能通过农作物或饮用水进入人体，容易在大脑积累，损伤人的肾脏，从而使人的神经系统受到严重的破坏。对此，我们应该营造垃圾分类处理与废物回收利用的社会良好风气，比如旧报纸、用过的塑料袋、废电池…送到废物回收站，送回工厂重新加工利用，变废为宝。

工业垃圾、废水废气排放，对我们生产、生活环境破坏更大。有些化工厂把废弃的有毒的水都排到江河里，清澈的河水，一瞬间就变成乌黑乌黑的，河里的许多鱼儿都中毒死亡了。我们的饮用水源也被破坏了，农民的农作物、水产养殖受污染、毒化减产或绝收。假如我们的工厂能按照国家的法律，做好污水、废气的科学处理，工业垃圾的回收利用，一定能人类及地球带来很大收益。

我们要尽可能减少人为对地球及我们生存环境破坏的同时，我们更需要来美化地球以及我们生活、学习与工作的环境，用我们的双手来大兴植草造林，保护我们的土地与水源，让人类与各种生动物和谐相处，让山峰林木俊秀、让河流清澈见底，让空气清新天空尉蓝。处处花香鸟语、鱼歌互答。

“地球是我家，环保靠大家!”让我们来保护我们的家园，让我们的家园更美好吧!

It is barren land, to make more desertification. We in urumqi, family cooking, heating chimney come out large amounts of black smoke and exhaust emission of polluted air. Cant see the blue sky, the urumqi winter snow is black.

I saw on TV in South Korea restaurant use chopsticks are made of metal, can be used repeatedly. But in our country, large and small hotel is full use of disposable chopsticks, as far as I know a tree grow fifty years of birch only ten hotel with the number of chopsticks a day, how many restaurants are there in China? How much a day birch tree! !

To protect the environment, for students in our school must first from dont want disorderly garbage debris-brick, see someone littering to give him a reason. The adults also do not cut down trees, it will pollute the environment. 环境是我们人类赖以生存的活动空间，比如说：空气的质量、工地和汽车发出的噪音、水质的好坏、街道的整洁和城市的美观等等都属于环境.现在每天在电视和报纸上都可以看见讲环保的消息，说明大家都很重视环境。

这几年我们的长江、黄河上游的人们砍伐树木，不保护环境，使得长江、黄河上游的水和土壤流失的很厉害，长江下游经常发洪水，黄河的水里有好多泥沙。我们新疆的塔里木河是我国最长的内陆河，塔里木河岸边的胡杨林是可以用来吸住泥土不会出现沙尘暴，可是人们在塔里木河的上游大面积开荒截水使得下游河水干枯，造成上百万亩的胡杨林死亡。至使本来就很贫瘠的土地，更加沙漠化。我们乌鲁木齐的人家做饭、取暖的烟囱冒出来的黑烟和汽车尾气的大量排放使的空气被污染。使乌鲁木齐的冬天看不到蓝天，雪也是黑的。

我在电视看见韩国的饭店用的筷子都是金属做的，可以反复用。可是在我们国家大大小小的饭店全是用的一次性筷子，据我了解一棵生长五十年的桦树只够十家饭店一天用的筷子的数量，中国有多少家饭店?一天要用多少棵桦树啊!!

对于我们校学生来讲要保护环境，首先要从不要乱人垃圾果皮纸屑，见到有人乱扔垃圾要给他讲道理。大人们也不要砍伐树木，这样会污染环境。要从节约每一滴水、每一度电做起、从小树立保护环境的意识，做到保护环境，人人有责。使我们的家园更美好!
