Should Examination Be Abolished (取消)?

The examination system has come to be the main theme (主题)of modern education. One should take an examination andsucceed in passing it before he could be admitted， promoted or graduated. As it plays so important a role in the realm of education (教育的领域) it is under much criticism (评论) as to its validity (有效性) . People who are in favour of it try to develop this system more; those who are against it believe that such a system should be abolished. Should examination be abolished? In my opinion it should be.

Many people think that an examination is the only means to test knowledge， but， in fact， that is not true. A few questions given in an examination could by no means cover the whole field of the subject. Thus those who are able to answer them may be the poorest of the students and yet happen to know just a few points about that subject.

Id like to say that， because of the existence of the examination system， students pay so much attention to gaining high marks， that they often forget the chief purpose of education. The so-called clever students devote (贡献) themselves to the study of textbooks only. They， of course， know nothing but the skeleton (梗概) of knowledge. 唐朝大诗人李白小时候，非常不爱学习，经常逃学。有一天，他又背着老师跑到山上去玩了。在他去的路上，看见了小河边有一位老婆婆在认真地磨一根铁杵，李白很纳闷，便前去问道：“老婆婆，您磨一根铁杵干什么啊?”老婆婆说：“我在磨针。”李白大吃一惊，说：“哎呀，铁杵那么粗，要磨成针得多久啊!”老太太笑眯眯的答道：“只要天天磨，日日磨，慢慢的铁杵不就成针了吗?”李白听后，惭愧的跑回了书屋，从此他记住了“只要功夫深，铁杵磨成针”这句话，便发奋学习，终于成了一名伟大的诗人。

而居里夫人则更令人敬佩，她对放射性元素进行研究，搞到了一吨可能含镭的工业废渣，在院子里进行冶炼，研究，在三年有九个月后，终于提炼出了0.1克镭。我被居里夫人那种坚强.执着的心所震撼。

The moment I go to high school, I have made up my mind to study hard. It is

known to all that the period of high school is the turning point of people’s

life, which may decide my future career. So I know the importance of striving

for my future. The reason why I study so hard are various. First, I want my

parents to be proud of me. When my mothers’ friends come to visit her, they

always brag about how excellent their children are, but my mother would never

take me as the topic, because she does not want me to have the pressure. I

无可否认，当今的大部分人们都见义勇为、奋不顾身、舍即为人的帮助别人，但这些正义的行为不应特意通过电视台、报社专门报道英雄事迹，这不仅引发人们深思，而且带来更多的社会舆论。见义勇为、奋不顾身、见义勇为的救人行为，相信以往之间都是拥有这样的良好品质，这样的良好品质不仅可以从职业人员身上找到，也可以从百姓身上找到，这说明救人的意识已经深深扎根在人们的脑海中，只要面临危险、身处困境，人们都会伸出援助之手来救助需要的人们。82岁的何大伯因在荷花池奋不顾身救助57岁的何大妈，但要报道自己的“英雄事迹”，这显然是一种抱着救人的口号，为了张扬自身的良好品质，吸引更多眼球来博取别人的赞扬、认可的心理。通常人们救助别人后便像平时一样，有的在别人的门道谢后，仍会帮助需要救助的人，并隐姓埋名；有的人在救助别人后消失在现场无影无踪，而孙大伯的行为却让人感到意外吃惊，值的人进行深思，进行热议。

救人并非有所目的的，倘若救人是为了目的而旧的，那么真心救人的人会在社会中又有多少位呢？倘若人们因利益而救人，社会的正义感、爱心感又何去何从呢？救人是正义勇为的优秀品质，倘若人们都缺失了这一优秀品质，社会还能稳健地发展么？

四川一位年轻小哥，在炎热的天气下，见到了一位老伯，忽然在行人街上晕倒，年轻小哥奋不顾身，毫无无顾虑的将老伯送到医院，并帮老伯垫付医药费。事后老伯千辛万苦让家人帮忙找到施救人，就是这位年轻小哥让老伯伯在炎热的天气下逃过了被夺走生命的危险。老伯衷心感谢这位小哥，在老伯送上医药费及感谢资金时，年轻小哥拒绝的那位老伯，并真心地说：“我救人并非出于个人目的，也不图自身名利，只为给社会做出更多有益的事，为社会做贡献。”年轻小哥的这些良好品质值得我们去深思，值得我们去学习，他就是我们的榜样。

救人并非有所目的，真诚对待他人才会获得别人的尊重。抱着一颗真诚的心，社会才会更美好，国家才会因社会的进步而繁荣富强。

The sports meet of our university was held on a charming spring day.The stand around the playground was packed with spectators.Firt came the parade of the opening ceremony.Athletes walked into the field in orderly arrays.After the opening address was delivered,the athletes withdrew.Then there was a performance of group callisthenics.
