Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December. It is a very happy day for many boys and girls. Before the term ends in some schools, the children act a nativity or “birth” play, showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

day happily, they will eat apples on Christmas Eve, the children will put the

socks so that they could get the presents from Santa Claus. When I went to

college, I had an unforgettable memory about my first Christmas Day.

As my major is English, I have many foreign teachers, so that I could have

access to the local culture from them. Christmas Day is a big day for them, when

the day came, they asked us to spend the day with them, because most of them

left home and did not have families around. My classmates and I went to the

foreign teacher’s home at that day, we brought some presents, when we arrived at

his house, we found a beautiful tree with shinning lights. My teachers taught us

how to cook all the cookies, we were having such great fun. I made the cookies

i spent this holiday very quick, on the 1st may, we went to the zoo, there were crowded there, so many travelers coming from all over the country to have some fun during the holidays.on 2nd may, i visited my relatives with my parents, we had a great lunch together, the resturant were crowded as well.on 3rd may, we went to shopping in the mall, after the shopping we went to watch a new movie. all the other days lefti didn’t go anywhere, no only becasue i still have some homework,but also there were almost all crowded in everywhere!

The Christmas party

It was Christmas Day yesterday. We had a Christmas party at school. Many friends of mine came to the party. After we said"Merry Christmas", we began to sing Christmas songs, such as Edelweiss, andso on. Then we told some Christmas stories, such as Christmas Father. christmas is the most important festival in the western world. it falls on december 25th. when my mother and i stayed in america, we were invited by one of my mother‘s friends to have christmas with an american family. we bought some presents for our american friends on our way to their house.

they had prepared different kinds of gifts for their family and guests when we got to their house, such as christmas candles, cakes, cards, little toys, biscuits and so on. a christmas tree was placed in the comer of the brilliant hall. how beautiful it was! we were impressed by these. we had a big meal. after dinner, they told us some interesting stories about christmas. we learned that christmas had something to do with god. we went to bed at midnight. though we knew the santa claus was not true, we were still waiting for the santa claus with white beard to bring us presents.and we received many beautiful presents the next morning.

对于我，倒是宁愿大家一齐到餐馆吃一顿，然后帐目平分，到那时谁还想要炫耀自己的话，倒也其乐融融。
