仲商之时，果实成熟之季，你瞧，柿子个个都涨红了脸，还有的自由落体，悄悄地落到大地妈妈的怀抱里。别的水果个个都成熟了，不论多远，都能闻到阵阵清香……向日葵也急急忙忙地赶来了，它跟随着阳光的脚步而来，像极了阳光的使者，无论阳光在天涯海角，它都会忠诚的跟来，并且永不停歇。

向日葵一天天的长高了，这应该托福于阳光的照耀吧。你看，天还没怎么亮，当小草往上窜的时候，向日葵就被阳光唤醒了。阳光一点一点的往上升，向日葵也一点一点抬起了头，它一直是那么的动力十足，一直都向着阳光，一直都将阳光视为至高无上的仰望……

正在这时，一只小蜜蜂飞来，看着向日葵，心里觉得好笑，“这家伙是不是傻！时时向着这么强烈的太阳光，不怕被烤焦？”想罢，便悻悻然地逃离了火热的太阳。而向日葵却不以为然，依旧向着阳光，面带微笑。

阳光，给予了向日葵金灿灿的笑脸；阳光，给予了向日葵乐观、开朗的好心情；阳光，给予了向日葵满面春风的神情……

太阳渐渐西沉，向日葵还不停息，它在寻找太阳的踪迹，还试图追赶天边的一丝丝霞光，直到最后一缕阳光渐渐消逝，它才慢慢的安然肃立，等待着明天的追随……

Dear Mr. Seaton，

Thank you very much for taking me with you on that splendid outing to London. It was the first time that I had seen the Tower or any of the other famous sights. If Id gone alone, I couldnt have seen nearly as much, because I wouldnt have known my way about.

The weather was splendid on that day, which I thought was rare. I still remember some people told me that in Britain there was weather and no climate. During the same day, it might snow in the morning, rain at noon, shine in the afternoon and be windy before the night falls. So I think I was lucky.

I think the river trip was the best thing of all. London really came alive for me as we saw it from the Thames during that wonderful journey down to Greenwich. It was all tremendously exciting - a day that I shall never forget.

从前，在遥远的碣山上，有一朵小向日葵，虽然只有独自一人生活，却认识了许多伙伴。

随着时间一分一秒地过去，这朵小向日葵逐渐从娇嫩变得艳丽多姿了。

一天早晨，小向日葵与一群小蚂蚁和小松鼠一起玩。突然，小松鼠大叫起来：“快瞧！小向日葵得病了！脸上全是麻子，丑死了！”愉快的气氛瞬间消失了，山上的小动物们都知道小向日葵长了麻子，所以全都不跟她玩了。

一连好几天，只有野风呼呼地刮着，小向日葵很自卑，眼泪不断往眼眶外涌，她已经对生活失去了信心。

时间一天天如飞箭似的过去了，小向日葵望着温暖的太阳，心想：我为何不问问太阳自己得了什么病呢？于是，她小心地问道：“太阳公公，我长麻子了，大家说我丑，我到底得了什么病呀？”

太阳公公听了，笑道：“那是因为你长大了，并不是生病。”

长大？小向日葵直纳闷。

没过多久，那些“麻子”掉了，又过了一段时间，小向日葵周围冒出了一棵棵更小的向日葵。

“咦！这不是我小时候的样子吗？啊！原来我是真的长大了，成熟了，麻子原来是小花种呀！”

每个人都会有长大成熟的时候，只不过方式不同。长大后我们也不应该自卑自怯，要快乐地去面对将来的生活！

There is a park near my home.There are a lot of beautiful trees,flowers and birds in the park.So many people go to the park to enjoy their weekends.They like walking or having a picnic in the park.But I like flying a kite with my sisiter there.

我家附近有一个公园。那里有很多美丽的树木，公园里的花儿和鸟儿。所以很多人去公园享受他们的周末。他们喜欢在公园里散步或是野餐。但我喜欢和我姐姐在那里放风筝。

我很喜欢吃向日葵里的瓜子，平常我要是想吃的话，就去姨妈家拿，因为姨妈是专门种向日葵的。今年我想自己种向日葵吃，并且仔细地观察观察它。

一天晚上，我拿着小铁铲和一些向日葵种来到自家的菜地里，我先用小铁铲挖了几个小坑，然后小心翼翼的把向日葵种放到坑里，用土埋上，最后我又去接来一些水慢慢的浇到种向日葵的地方，种好了后，我已经精疲力尽了，回到家里躺到床上就睡着了。

过了三天，我去观察了一下向日葵，呀！原来，向日葵已经长出嫩芽来了，那些嫩芽绿得真可爱，我特别高兴，我又去接了一些水来，浇到上面，以后我几乎每天都给向日葵浇水。

又过了两天，我又去观察了一下向日葵，我发现向日葵已经像一元硬币一样大了，它的颜色已经不是嫩绿色了，而是淡绿色的了。

三天后，我又去观察了一下向日葵，向日葵已经长到像苹果一样大了，而且毛乎乎的，它叶子的颜色已经变成翠绿色了，我又给他浇了一些水，希望他健康成长。

随着时间的流逝，不知过了多少天，向日葵已经越长越大，现在已经开花了，花心像一个个黑色的小米粒镶在上面，向日葵的花瓣是土黄色的，长大以后就是淡黄色的了。

过了几天，向日葵依然没有变样子，但是我发向日葵的枝变得特别硬，上面长了一些很小很小的刺。

又过了几天，向日葵已经熟了，看着那些饱满的瓜子，我特别高兴，拿一颗放在嘴里，甜丝丝的，觉得特别神清气爽。

我的向日葵怎么样？你们也来观察观察吧！

外婆家的院子里有几株向日葵，那可是我和妈妈亲手栽种的。从此我一到周末就去外婆家看望它们。

第一个星期去的时候，向日葵已经长出了嫩芽，真像个“丫”字形！笔直的身杆，两边长着四辫嫩绿的小叶子，看着探头探脑的向日葵已经长出了嫩芽，我兴奋极了。

又过了一个星期，向日葵都长过我膝盖高了，向日葵的顶上都长出一个绿色的小莲花似的花蕾。向日葵的叶子是桃形的，最大的有芭蕉扇那么大，摸上去有点割手，妈妈说这是锯齿。日子一天天过去，我的向日葵也在一天天茁壮成长。最好看的是金灿灿的花朵了，它长得像金黄色的太阳，外面包围着一圈黄色的花瓣，周围有许多小叶片，护卫着柔黄的花盘，花盘被毛茸茸的花蕊覆盖着。

秋天到了，向日葵的叶子由绿变黄，花盘外的花瓣也慢慢凋谢了，但是花蕊下面却结出了饱满的果实——葵花籽儿。这时，向日葵该收获了。

向日葵有个很神奇的现象，它总是向着太阳开花，所以人们叫他向日葵。太阳走它也走，花盘永远向着太阳。它给我们一个启示：人生会有许多挫折，但我们还是要挺起胸膛面向阳光。

我继续向前行走，雨已经停了，花瓣上沾了一颗颗饱满的露珠，好似一颗颗闪烁着光泽的珍珠。走过供人休憩小亭子，走进向日葵的花丛中，各种品种的向日葵交错起来，深红的、橙黄的、橘黄的、淡黄的、淡紫的……，这些颜色错在一起，织成一幅别具色彩的画面。这些向日葵除了品种、颜色不同，它们的姿态也各不相同，它们有的昂首挺胸，注视着天空；有的低着头似乎受到了什么委屈，正难过着呢；有的用碧绿的大片叶子遮着脸，好像有点害羞，看见人们来了，便藏了起来。走在丛丛的向日葵中，风儿轻抚它们的脸，嗅着淡雅的清香。

Are professional success and a fulfilling personal life mutually exclusive? Probably not, although it is more difficult today to achieve both.

Undeniably, todays professionals must work long hours to keep their heads above water, let alone to get ahead in life financially. This is especially true in Japan, where cost of living, coupled with corporate culture, compel professional males to all but abandon their families and literally to work themselves to death. While the situation here in the states may not be as critical, the two-income family is now the norm, not by choice but by necessity.

However, our societys professionals are taking steps to remedy the problem. First, they are inventing ways such as job sharing and telecommuting to ensure that personal life does not take a back seat to career. Second, they are setting priorities and living those hours outside the workplace to their fullest. In fact, professional success usually requires the same time-management skills that are useful to find time for family, hobbies, and recreation. One need only look at the recent American presidents-Clinton, Bush, Reagan and Carter- to see that it is possible to lead a balanced life which includes time for family, hobbies, and recreation, while immersed in a busy and successful career. Third, more professionals are changing careers to ones which allow for some degree of personal fulfillment and self-actualization. Besides, many professionals truly love their work and would do it without compensation, as a hobby. For them, professional and personal fulfillments are one and the same.

Today mother took me to skate. I was very happy. But I hadnt expected I

fell down as soon as I got in. Today I didnt know why my two feet were out of

control. If I wanted to head east， they would head the opposite. I fell down

from time to time. My hands and face were all dirty. I thought maybe it was

because that I hadnt skated for a long time.

On my way home， I thought that whatever one wants to do， he must work hard
