向日葵又名朝阳花，高1~3米，头状花序，直径10~30厘米。向日葵的种子就是大家熟知的葵花籽，常炒制之后作为零食食用，也可以榨葵花籽油，油渣可以做饲料，所以向日葵浑身都是宝呢！

在我家附近，就有一大片向日葵，当花开之际，每隔几天，我就会去探望它们：清晨，树林醒来了，在晨风中梳理长发，又往脸上镶抹玫瑰色的朝霞。树林里开满了各色各样的野花，地上像洒满了各色的宝石。远看，向日葵好似一片金黄色的世界，又好似一个巨大无比的太阳，走进任何一朵向日葵，它们都会昂着头，挺着胸，宛如一位位军人，又犹如一个个咧嘴大笑的胖娃娃在热情地欢迎着我们的到来。在向日葵金灿灿的花瓣下，有勤劳的小蜜蜂在辛勤劳作，也有美丽的蝴蝶在翩翩起舞。微风拂来，这些向日葵就似随风涌动的金色海洋，我们在其中快乐地穿梭，而它们就又似是我们的伙伴，跟我们玩起了游戏。这是多么和谐而又静谧美好的画面啊！

向日葵会始终跟着太阳转动，这是大家都熟知的现象，可是最近有网友却提出了质疑。《这是真的吗？》节目组记者便展开了调查，最终发现：向日葵从天亮时便头朝向东边，等到中午，向日葵没有明显的变化，仍然朝向东边，日落时分，向日葵还是朝向东边。这是为什么呢？专家表示：当花蕊和花朵开始生长到满开的时候，它的确会跟着太阳转，当等它结籽以后就不会转动了，一般朝向东边。

向日葵的花语是信念、光辉和忠诚，代表着勇敢追求自己想要的幸福，而这也是我一向为之奋斗的目标。我喜欢向日葵，喜欢它午后阳光般灿烂的笑脸！

外婆家的院子里有几株向日葵，那可是我和妈妈亲手栽种的。从此我一到周末就去外婆家看望它们。

第一个星期去的时候，向日葵已经长出了嫩芽，真像个“丫”字形！笔直的身杆，两边长着四辫嫩绿的小叶子，看着探头探脑的向日葵已经长出了嫩芽，我兴奋极了。

又过了一个星期，向日葵都长过我膝盖高了，向日葵的顶上都长出一个绿色的小莲花似的花蕾。向日葵的叶子是桃形的，最大的有芭蕉扇那么大，摸上去有点割手，妈妈说这是锯齿。日子一天天过去，我的向日葵也在一天天茁壮成长。最好看的是金灿灿的花朵了，它长得像金黄色的太阳，外面包围着一圈黄色的花瓣，周围有许多小叶片，护卫着柔黄的花盘，花盘被毛茸茸的花蕊覆盖着。

秋天到了，向日葵的叶子由绿变黄，花盘外的花瓣也慢慢凋谢了，但是花蕊下面却结出了饱满的果实——葵花籽儿。这时，向日葵该收获了。

向日葵有个很神奇的现象，它总是向着太阳开花，所以人们叫他向日葵。太阳走它也走，花盘永远向着太阳。它给我们一个启示：人生会有许多挫折，但我们还是要挺起胸膛面向阳光。
