小时候，我喜欢跟着老一辈的人去种花。我最爱向日葵。它执着追求太阳的精神，使我感动。时隔十年，我又一次看到了向日葵。那是梵高的不朽之作。映入眼帘的，是大块大块浓烈的黄色。因缺少阳光而花瓣扭曲的向日葵，依旧执着地追求着光，消耗着自己短暂却绚烂的生命。我似乎看到了生活贫困潦倒的画家，在白布上用自己炙热的灵魂，挥洒着这美丽的金黄色，抒发着心中对美好生活的向往。他的眼中，流露着希望。我被深深地震撼了。我感受到他与常人不同的灵魂对美好的热切期待。

I am working on a new project which is called A Survey of New Industry in

the Maywood District. According to the design of our district, we need

information about firms that have recently moved into this area. Your firm is

one of the largest of these, so I shall be very grateful if you can spare the

We have eight classes everyday , and only two classes are not english ,

another classes is listening , reading , speaking and writing english . Some

people think it is boring in the classes , but i think this is very enjoyable

I love my life now . Because i always feel fulfilled all day . I am so busy

that i can’t play ping-pong . I think it is my desire to enjoy life.

I want to travel to mountain hua . Three years ago i went there , but don’t

go to the top , so i must go there when i have free time.

虚荣，是每个人都不曾欠缺的“美好”品质，人们在追随他的同时进步着，而又在阳光的终点处，走廊的尽头无形地坠落了。

前几天，我看到了黑夜下的华南MALL游乐场，寂静无比，在黑暗中沉睡着。没有孩子们的笑声，欢乐的脚步声，也没有了勇者的怒吼，它就像一个安静的孩子安适无忧地躺在母亲的怀抱中。当咖啡杯不再旋转，跳楼机不再承载这勇敢的人们的时候，多少在这里发生过的美好都是荒芜飘渺的。黑夜与白昼的极度反差，那么的突兀而又自然。白天欢乐的游乐场中，人们度过了美好快乐的时光，游乐场也在颤抖地笑着。只是，当黑暗来临时，人们义无反顾地抛弃了他，回到了温馨的家中，游乐场只能与皎洁的明月做伴，互诉心声，他期待着人们的再次光临。

人们在无止境地追求头顶的光环，这并没有什么对与错之分。是啊，谁不想被人崇敬，羡慕呢；又有谁愿意被世界埋没、忽视呢？所以人人都争先恐后地逃离平凡，冲破泥土，想要做世界的佼佼者。曾经我也一直坚持这这个信念。可是，最后当你认为自己成功时，在别人的眼神中，还夹杂着厌恶，憎恶，妒忌与嘲笑。

我们都是平凡的，虽然我们不甘心。

为什么你要不一样呢？我们恨你的与众不同。

向日葵追随着太阳，向着希望，不气馁。

可是，在别的花的眼中，她只不过是盲目的，痴情的，可笑的。

尽管如此，可它依然孤独地，默默地倔强、挣扎着。我忽然明白了什么……

1．词语选择的重要性

在The Right Word at the Right Time的“序言”中，编者对词语选用的重要性作了一个很好的比喻：“Using the right word at the right time is rather like wearing appropriate clothing for the occasion：

it is a courtesy to others，and a favor to yourself-a matter of presenting yourself well in the eyes of the world."

显然，说话或写文章时用词适当比穿着适当难度大得多，因而也具有更大的重要性。在我国，古人写文章时常为一个词语的选用具思苦想，因而有“语不惊人死不休”的说法。

成语“一字值千金”也说明了选择词语的极端重要性。有时“一字之差”造成令人遗憾的败笔，或招致成千上万的经济损失。这些反面的教训也告诉我们必须重视词语选用的问题。

2．词语选择的可能性

实际上，我们每个人的脑子里都有了一个或大或小的词库，只要我们肯去发掘，往往可以得到更好的表达方式。这是我们做好词语选用的主观条件。

从客观条件广看，我们有各种类型的词典和参考书，只要我们平时多翻译、多阅读，写作时勤查考，就会在词语选用上不断进步。当然，一部好词典也不会毫无缺点，更难以面面俱到，因此在这里我们应牢牢记住著名英国作家、评论家和辞书编纂家Johson的话：

每个人心中的向日葵不一定美好，但一定会给人们带来欢乐。我同样也不例外，我也有我心中的向日葵，这个向日葵是我的姐姐。

小时候不上学，每天“赋闲”在家，姐姐一放学就过来找我，给我带一点零食，有卫龙辣条，好多鱼和……小时候的我也很皮，经常惹姐姐生气，已记不得有几百次了，撕她的作业本……可她还是一如既往的喜欢我。

上了小学，我还是一如既往的惹她生气，跟她斗嘴，她那时也要中考，也无暇理我，于是我们之间的大战爆发，天天争吵，我们俩的关系糟透了，但她还是爱我的。

姐姐上了高中，见面的机会越来越少，我也长大懂事了，于是我们的关系持续升温，比以前更亲密了。暑假，她骑着电动车带着我飞快的在机动车道上逆行行驶，这都是我要求的，妈妈也多次说过她，但她始终不出卖我。晚上回来，一起带着耳机听歌一起唱歌；她们排球队有了活动，叫我跟他们一起打，现在我还会一两个简单的传球。

姐姐上了大学，我上了初中，我们学习都忙，每次见了姐姐，跟她视频，也总是激动不已。滔滔不绝的讲不停，每次寒暑假送姐姐回大学，我总是哭，姐姐也总是哭。为了不让她伤心，我强忍心中的泪水，去逗笑她，但我也可以看出她强忍泪水。

姐姐总会给我排忧解难，领导我在学习上前进。

妈妈给我买了一盆向日葵，这盆向日葵中有两个花盆，就像一对亲密的小姐妹。它的花芯是棕色的，外面包围着黄色的花瓣，像一只金灿灿的太阳。

清早，东方露出了鱼肚白，向日葵的花瓣朝着东边，像一位小姑娘正遥望远方。中午，艳阳高照，向日葵的“笑脸”仰望着天空，仿佛在对太阳公公说：“太阳公公，晒太阳太舒服了！”夕阳西下，向日葵的花盘朝着西边，一阵风拂过，这时小姐妹摇来摆去，似乎在向我们招手呢！

可是，问题来了：为什么向日葵的花盘永远跟着太阳转呢？我查阅了资料，原来，向日葵的茎里有一种生长素，这种生长素害怕阳光，它一见阳光就到背光的侧面躲起来，这样，向日葵的花盘恰好就对着太阳。向日葵吸收阳光，转化成养分，给向日葵籽提供充足的营养。

我家对面的屋顶上安放着许多朝南面放的太阳能热水器。通过观察向日葵，让我想到只要发明了能像向日葵的花盘一样，跟着太阳转的太阳能收集器，就能收集到更多的热量。这样，热水器就不一定朝南放了。这种能旋转的太阳能收集器可以设计成碗形的，平板形的，每个人可以根据自己的需求来定。

向日葵是美丽动人的，大自然是五彩缤纷的，我从向日葵身上得到启示。向日葵真是我们的好老师！

With the development of the Internet, many people are used to shopping

online. It has become a fashion in our daily life. Some of us students also join

the group.

Shopping online has many advantages. Just by a click of the mouse, you can

buy what youre interested in without going outdoors. You can avoid getting

tired and being trapped in the crowded people and cars and save time. When

shopping online, you can choose from more varieties of goods, whose prices are

generally lower.

Every coin has two sides. Its disadvantages are obvious, too. On the one

hand, its very easy for you to buy goods different from the pictures you see on

the Internet. On the other hand, shopping online may cause people to buy goods

that are not badly needed. Thats a waste of money.

All in all, I love shopping online.

很久以前，太阳上住着一个漂亮的仙女。她爱穿漂亮的黄色裙子，而且，喜欢每天干一件事，那就是欣赏生长在大地上的一种黄色的花。因此，大家都叫她黄衣仙女。

有一天，小仙女还是像往常一样去看她的小黄花，可是找来找去她都找不到小黄花了。原来大地上发生了一次大灾难，所有的小黄花都生病了，美丽的花朵一朵朵都枯萎了。它们都弯着腰，没有了金灿灿的外衣。小仙女很着急，她拿着魔法药飞快地飞到小黄花的身边。

小仙女拿出自己配置的魔法药医治每一朵小黄花，她细心地照顾它们。小黄花慢慢地好起来了，它们挺直了腰，又穿回了金灿灿的外衣。

小黄花的病好了，小仙女要回家了。小黄花很感激小仙女，她目不转睛地看着小仙女飞回太阳上。小黄花特别想念小仙女，每天当太阳一出来，小黄花们一起冲着太阳微笑。

因为小黄花每天都执著地冲着太阳微笑，所以人们给它们起了一个好听的名字——向日葵。
