一、英语写作的特点.

The characteristics of formal writing

1.名词化趋势

I do not eat much.-->I am a light eater.

The clock on the desk reminds me of time.-->I put a clock on the desk as a reminder of time.

注意: 名词化趋势和无灵主语常常是相结合的.

Main features of English sentences:

1.长短句结合

一般来讲,总结性的句子应当使用短句,而说理的句子应用长句.

2.并列复合句

(2)为使描绘更加生动,与介词同形的副词可以移动到句首,而把主语放到谓语后面去.

我最喜爱的不是美丽高贵的牵牛花，也不是火红的玫瑰花，而是向日葵。

春天暖洋洋的，向日葵种子刚发芽，像一个小蘑菇，过了几天，它又长出了四片叶子，非常可爱。又过了几天，小向日葵长高了，到了夏天，向日葵就慢慢地长大了。秋天的时候，向日葵成熟了，一个小玉盘上面铺满了一颗一颗的果实，我们可以收获果实了，向日葵的果实可真好吃。冬天，大雪纷飞，雪花好像给大地穿上了棉衣，向日葵已经枯萎了，有的叶子已经变灰了，它一碰就掉了，一捏就碎了，。

这就是我喜爱的向日葵，你们喜欢它吗？

我的世界曾一度被黑云笼罩。

进入初三，沉重的心理压力和接连考试的打击使我陷入生活的谷底，情绪变得抑郁、烦躁、极不稳定。于是，我休假在家，整天把自己关在房间里，父母很是担心着急。

一天，我正一个人对着镜子发呆，爸爸轻轻敲门走了进来，在我身旁半蹲下身子仰面朝着我说：“怎么了？到底为什么不高兴，能告诉爸爸吗？”我不愿开口，但看着爸爸近乎哀求的神情还是勉强拿起笔，在纸上写下一堆理由：成绩不理想，考重点高中无望；相貌平平，没有其他女孩子的美丽家境不富裕，父母身份低微??

爸爸看过字条，眼中掠过一丝伤感与无奈，他不自然的表情使我的脸庞微微发烫。继而，爸爸马上用坚定的眼神看着我，双手搭在我肩上说：“听爸爸说，虽然你目前成绩并不理想，但距中考还有六个月，只要你从现在起振作起来，加倍努力，爸爸相信你能够考入重点高中。

你反而应该庆幸考试的失败使你及时认识到自己的不足，为你敲响警钟。虽然宝贝女儿貌不惊人，但并不会因此缺少什么，你一样有喜欢你的老师和朋友。况且你拥有健全的四肢，健康的体魄，这不是值得快乐的事吗？还有，虽然我们的家庭并不富裕，但这是一个完整而幸福的家庭，我们一家人相亲相爱，相依相守，不是很快乐吗？”

爸爸说完，满怀深情地看了看我，在纸上留下一行字便转身离开了。我慢慢拿过字条，上面写道：
