向日葵也叫太阳花，因为向日葵好像一个太阳一样。春天到了，向日葵长出了一个绿绿的小芽，过了几天，它长出了几片小叶子。又过了几天，长出了一根又细又长的茎。夏天到了，长出一个花苞和几片大叶子，没过多久，花苞慢慢地开了，几天后，花盘慢慢地变黄了，最终成了一株美丽的向日葵。秋天到了花盘里长出了许多果实，也就是瓜子，密密麻麻地铺满了整个花盘。冬天到了，花瓣都落下来了，向日葵也枯萎了，除了有几株向日葵的叶子还在上面长着，其他的都变得光秃秃的了，不过这个时候的叶子已经变成了棕色的。
