在暑假里，我碰见了许许多多的事情，但在我脑海中印象最深的就是去厦门游玩儿了，下面我就给你介绍一下吧。
暑假里，爸爸、妈妈和我一同去了厦门。在飞机上我异常兴奋，一方面是第一次远行，另一方面就是首次坐飞机。
飞机终于起飞了，你透过窗口往下望，哇!飞机飞得多高啊，在云彩上面哩，积雪的山峰层层叠叠，一眼望不到头。经过半个多小时的飞行，终于到达了厦门机场。我们提着重重的行李，叫了一辆出租汽车，到一家旅馆住了下来。
第二天，我们随着导游一起坐汽车来到了鼓浪屿。到了那里，哇!这儿可真是个音乐的王国：每一棵树上都挂着一个个银白色的乐谱，一阵风吹过，乐谱随风荡漾，像是在跳着欢快的舞蹈。一棵巨大的迎客松高高地耸立在中间，迎客松的正下方，有架银色的钢琴。随后，我们坐轮船游台湾海峡，在离台湾岛几十米外，只见一个白色的大理石条上写着“三民主义统一中国”八个大字立在中央，可真是白日做梦。抬头看，一个台湾同胞正热情地向我们招手呢。经过了几个小时的海上游览，我们回到了陆地。
爸爸买了门票，我们就到了海洋馆。一进门，眼前就有一个圆柱体的透明玻璃，里面游来游去的是食人鱼。食人鱼的形状是扁形的，两只眼睛分别长在两边，它的最大的特点是有几颗尖利的牙齿，看它那样子，似乎一不留神就要把你吃了。往后走，有很多种海洋生物：巨瑶、海蜇、珊瑚、海龟、海马……最好看的要数灯笼鱼了，它身上好像装着各种各样颜色的彩灯，两个圆溜溜的眼睛分别长在两侧，它身上的颜色变化多端：一会儿变成紫色，一会儿变成蓝色，一会儿变成绿色。爸爸又带我去了“地下海族馆”。厚厚的玻璃做成的拱形通道。玻璃里面有许多鱼：鲨鱼、海龟、乌贼、海星……成群结对从你身边游过，我仿佛置身于海洋之中。
最后，我们又去看了海豚表演，那里的小海豚可聪明了，它们给我们表演了海豚算数、跳圈等等，可好看了!
在回旅社的路上，导游还对我们说以后几天还要去参观胡里山炮台、音乐喷泉等。
这个暑假过得有趣也很有意义，让我增长了不少见识。

It represents a new beginning when people send off the old days and welcome the new ones. As the first day of the year, Yuandan has been considered to be the most important festival since the ancient times.
Customs
1. Kaisui(beginning of the year): According to the Chinese traditional custom, starting from haishi(9p.m. to 11p.m.)of the last evening of the twelfth lunar month, each family must prepare offering s to deities at the altar. At the same time, they too prepare food for the New Year day: The whole family will then stay awake together to attend to the year(called shou sui). After haishi, zishi(11p.m. to 1a.m.)will come, and this is the arrival of New Year(Yuandan). At this moment, people begin the celebration with fireworks. Vegetarian and sweet foods will then be placed are the altar for offerings, and incense be burned to welcome the deities. In the ancient times, it was believed that haishi connected the two years and thus was called kaisui.
At the same night, some families will follow the instruction in Tongshu and place preparing altar in the direction of the "fortune deity" during the "fortune time" to receive the deity. If the direction of the "fortune deity" is at the "ill position", people will choose to receive "happy deity" or "noble deity" instead.
2. There is an apparent difference in the custom of food taking on Yuandan between the Chinese in the northern and southern regions. The northern Chinese has the habit of taking jiao zi(dumpling made of flour with vegetable and meat wrapped inside). Some people may put a sweet or a coin inside jiao zi, hoping to have a sweet year after tasting the sweet and a wealthy year after tasting the coin. on the other hand, the southern Chinese have the taboo for killing on Yuandan. Therefore, they do not take meat in tee morning of Yuandan, so as to avoid bloodshed or mutual slaughter. In order to evade misfortune, they have the first meal of this day without meat. Instead, they take vegetarian food for the sake of virtue.
3. What is special during the New Year is that parents or elders will distribute red packets(ang pao or ya sui qian)to the children. People in the ancient times were more particular in giving away the red packets: the distribution took place on the eve of New Year so that the kids could suppress the past year and enter the New Year. Ya sui has the meaning of overcoming the unpredictable future. Representing the wishes for the healthy psychological growth of the children, ya sui qian symbolises the elders hope to see their children overcome all the unpredictable elements brought by the "year".

我来到厦门是在一个灯火通明的晚上，那里也像所有大都市一样在人声喧闹里摇曳生姿。我所暂住的地方临近购物街区，人潮涌动，招徕生意的扯着嗓子吆喝，惠顾店铺的放肆欢笑。我想，这或许又是一次平凡的旅程，它平凡得像是从海里随意就可以舀上来的水。
连着几日的清晨，我站在街道上看着尚未打开的店铺，看着它们栖身在民国时就布满异域风情的建筑里，看着远处不羁的摩天大楼……街道上只有风穿梭的声音，蓝色的天空安静得像是要滴下来。旅行并不是求得什么物质上的回馈，就在这一刻，我被厦门真实的温柔所击中。那时我很想长久地住下，只求每天能看到与之类似的景象。
走在厦门市的南海岸，看着沿路布满街区墙壁的绿色，看着阳光在上面慵懒地躺着，看着红色大花开在高处，看着路边乘凉的老人摇着老蒲扇，看着远处的浪和沙滩……我突然意识到不是所有的城市都可以这样。厦门，就算烈日当空，我仍能感受到了它的温柔。
不论是拥堵热闹的曾厝垵、让人累得够呛的万石植物园，还是沉寂在日暮下的沙坡尾，它们就像是安稳的老人，仿佛在用很轻缓平和的语调向人们诉说着自己的辉煌。曾厝垵，位于厦门岛东南部，有兔耳岭之草，太姥山之石，火山岛之礁……那里自然、人文浑为一体，名气虽没有鼓浪屿大，但也正因为如此，才得以保留那份最原始的美好。
四日的旅程一晃结束，返回，地铁开门的瞬间，车厢里响起的温柔的闽南话至今让我忍俊不禁;《爱拼才会赢》的歌声也时时在我耳畔萦绕，“三分天注定，七分靠打拼，爱拼才会赢……”
回忆旅行那些点点滴滴的日子，仔细思量，你就会发现，厦门其实是把温柔留在了大都市的硬壳里。难道不是么?

+ 加入清单Lying at the center of Beijing， the Forbidden City， called Gu Gong， in Chinese， was the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Now known as the Palace Museum， it is to the north of Tiananmen Square. Rectangular in shape， it is the world‘s largest palace complex and covers 74 hectares. Surrounded by a six meter deep moat and a ten meter high wall are 9，999 buildings. The wall has a gate on each side. Opposite the Tiananmen Gate， to the north is the Gate of Devine Might (Shenwumen)， which faces Jingshan Park. The distance between these two gates is 960 meters， while the distance between the gates in the east and west walls is 750 meters. There are unique and delicately structured towers on each of the four corners of the curtain wall. These afford views over both the palace and the city outside. The Forbidden City is divided into two parts. The southern section， or the Outer Court was where the emperor exercised his supreme power over the nation. The northern section， or the Inner Court was where he lived with his royal family. Until 1924 when the last emperor of China was driven from the Inner Court， fourteen emperors of the Ming dynasty and ten emperors of the Qing dynasty had reigned here. Having been the imperial palace for some five centuries， it houses numerous rare treasures and curiosities. Listed by UNESCO as a World Cultural Heritage Site in 1987， the Palace Museum is now one of the most popular tourist attractions world wide.
Construction of the palace complex began in 1407， the 5th year of the Yongle reign of the third emperor of the Ming dynasty. It was completed fourteen years later in 1420. It was said that a million workers including one hundred thousand artisans were driven into the long-term hard labor. Stone needed was quarried from Fangshan， a suburb of Beijing. It was said a well was dug every fifty meters along the road in order to pour water onto the road in winter to slide huge stones on ice into the city. Huge amounts of timber and other materials were freighted from faraway provinces. Ancient Chinese people displayed their very considerable skills in building the Forbidden City. Take the grand red city wall for example. It has an 8.6 meters wide base reducing to 6.66 meters wide at the top. The angular shape of the wall totally frustrates attempts to climb it. The bricks were made from white lime and glutinous rice while the cement is made from glutinous rice and egg whites. These incredible materials make the wall extraordinarily strong.
Since yellow is the symbol of the royal family， it is the dominant color in the Forbidden City. Roofs are built with yellow glazed tiles; decorations in the palace are painted yellow; even the bricks on the ground are made yellow by a special process. However， there is one exception. Wenyuange， the royal library， has a black roof. The reason is that it was believed black represented water then and could extinguish fire.
Nowadays， the Forbidden City， or the Palace Museum is open to tourists from home and abroad. Splendid painted decoration on these royal architectural wonders， the grand and deluxe halls， with their surprisingly magnificent treasures will certainly satisfy "modern civilians".
