平时，我父母总对我说：“你长大了，该做些你这个年龄段该做的事了，我们帮得了你一时，却帮不了你一世。”于是，我心中萌发了一个念头：学习自己力所能及的事情，让父母为我少操点心。

说干就干，我让妈妈教我做饭。煮饭比较简单，只需把米洗干净后倒入适量的清水，然后放入电饭煲就完成了。所以，我没过多久就“出师”了。只是做饭太单调了，需要烧菜作为调剂，然而烧菜却难住了我。妈妈说：“你第一次烧，我打算先手把手地教你有点难度的鲫鱼汤，再做个简单的西红柿炒鸡蛋。”妈妈准备好食材后，点着了煤气灶说：“先让它烧着，等锅里的水干了后再放入油，等油被烧热，再放入表面被擦去水分的鱼。”我按妈妈说的，小心翼翼地做。等鱼炸好一面后我拿起锅铲将鱼翻过来，可鱼的尾巴和身体分离了。妈妈见状说：“你现是第一次烧，还不熟练，下次小心一点就行。”最后，我按妈妈的指导给鱼浇上水，撒上盐，再盖上锅盖就坐等鱼熟了。

等鱼盛入碗后，轮到我烧西红柿炒鸡蛋了。结果看似简单的打鸡蛋却把我难住了，旁边的哥哥看不下去了，嘲笑道:“连蛋都打不好，放弃吧”。我回答道：“怎么能半途而废呢?”妈妈听了后赞同地说：“对，既然开做了，就要做完。”我继续跟鸡蛋作斗争，然后，手拿一把大菜刀，摆好架势开始切西红柿，但无论怎么切，都是参差不齐的。看着切好的西红柿，妈妈哭笑不得，说道:“挺好的，继续”。我憨憨一笑，往锅里倒油，等油熟了，再慢慢地往锅里倒蛋清和蛋黄。谁知蛋清一碰到锅就固化了，完全跟我想的不一样。妈妈赶紧用锅铲把已经固化了的蛋清铲了上来，说：“要赶紧铲起来，你看都焦了。”我连忙把剩下的蛋液和西红柿一起倒了进去，翻炒后倒入了少许水和大量的盐。等水烧干了后，我迫不及待地把西红柿炒鸡蛋盛入盘中，尝了一口后，我立刻吐了出来，因为蛋里面仍有一些蛋壳，而且还很咸。

这次的水煮鱼和西红柿炒鸡蛋虽然不大成功，但我更加深刻地明白了，凡事都要努力这个道理。

I am so looking forward to my college life. I have pictured it thousands of

times in my mind. The free lifestyle and lively parties are always appearing my

mind. The great expectation of campus life endows me a lot of passion to keep

study. After two years’ study, I would find my lifestyle.

Thanksgiving holiday is generally a "four-day" weekend in the United States, in

which Americans are given the relevant Thursday and Friday off. Thanksgiving is

almost entirely celebrated at home, unlike the Fourth of July or Christmas,

which are associated with a variety of shared public experiences.

In our life, some bad things can affect our moods. For example, if we cant get on well with our friends,if we fail the exam. It can make us feel upset and unhappy. So we should smile to life. Whats more, We should face the challenges head-on. Smile can make us confident.Smile is the most widely used language .If we are usually in a good mood. we may become healthier.

So we should try to smile at life.

My name is___________ . There are 4 people in my family. My father is a Chemistry teacher. He teaches chemistry in senior high school. My mother is an English teacher. She teaches English in the university. I have a younger brother, he is a junior high school student and is preparing for the entrance exam.

I like to read English story books in my free time. Sometimes I surf the Internet and download the E- books to read. Reading E- books is fun. In addition, it also enlarges my vocabulary words because of the advanced technology and the vivid animations.

I hope to study both English and computer technology because I am interested in both of the subjects. Maybe one day I could combine both of them and apply to my research in the future.

A new year,a new start, when I stand on the edgeof a new year, I cant help thinking about my plan of next year.

Just as the old saying:"Well began is thehalf of the success.” So I decide that I should be at work while the others are still relaxing, and then,at the beginning,Im quicker than the others and ofcourse I will get better result than the others.

But, what I really decide to do is that I must make good of any time I can spare though it seems impossible. While,I will do my best to live up with what I have planned, and the result will prove it.

my hobby is fishing. i am fond of going fishing, for it is both interesting and iastructive-it tempers my willpower. last sunday i went fishing with my friend, he ping.we started at daybreak. after three hours＇ cycling, we arrived at the outskirts of hefei and came to a stream. the water is clear and clean. one can see fish swimming. the meadow sprinkled with buttercups slopes to the stream. it is a good place for fishing.

in a few minutes everything was ready. putting the bait of earthworms on the hook, dropping the hue into the strum, we sat there fishing with rod in hand. an hour passed. i did not catch a single fish. i lifted the fishing rod time and again. time and again i was disappointed. there was no fish on the hook. on the other side of the stream, he ping had caught several fish, one of which was very big.

"how comes it that you catch fish casily while it is so difficult for me?" i asked.

"it＇s easy. only you need io be patient." he ping answered. "make sure that you lift the fishing rod when the whole flat has sunk. i＇m sure a fish will greet you on the hook."

after a while the floats were swinging. i kept my breath and waked. the floats became still again. "come on my hook, dear fish." i was saying to myself. in a moment the floats swang again and then sank abruptly, just at that moment i lifted my fishing rod. to my delight i caught a fish. grlnning, i took it off the hook.

this gave me a great revelation(启示):stamina(毅力) is what we need to achieve success. and it is more important to young people who usually lack it.

独立是夜幕中的一丝微光，虽然很淡，但也能冲破黑暗。

独立是大海里的一块木板，虽然很小，但也能拯救生命。

独立是烧杯内的一种催化剂，虽然很少，但也能改变速率。

要成功，我们就要学会独立。

先看小鹰的成长史吧。鹰妈妈给了小鹰第一次生命，然而第二次第三次生命却要靠小鹰自己争取回来，因为在鹰家族中，每一只小鹰要成长为雄鹰，都必须经历多次鬼门关，过了这些坎，才能获得重生;一旦不能独立，将会被淘汰，这是鹰妈妈也无能为力的。小鹰在第一次脱毛时，这是第一道坎，这道坎完全是凭借着小鹰自己的毅志力去与生命抗横的，在这场激烈抗衡过程中，那些不能独立，没有毅力的小鹰就将被死神带走，而那些具有顽强毅力，能独在离开妈妈的呵护而独立的小鹰才能生存下来。学会展翅高飞，是小鹰成为雄鹰的又一个坎。在历练的时候，有时鹰妈妈要把小鹰推下山崖，如果小鹰没有独立、自强的顽强意志，那就将粉身碎骨。

动物界动物们需要独立、自强，人类也同样如此。

独立能够锻炼人的意志。曾经看过飞虎队的训练，他们要自己一个人背着几十斤的石头，绕着山跑十几圈。在这个过程中，他们如果摔倒了，要自己站起来，不能够让他人帮忙。不难发现，他们这样做是为了锻炼自己的意志。试想一下，飞虎队不能独立，其后果是怎样?国际恐怖组织是一只猛虎，在他们的尖牙下，飞虎队就会在一瞬间让自己的生命面临危险，人们，社会，国家也会变得动荡不安。是独立，让木棉花尽情绽放出它的美，也是独立，让世界上所有的人在人生的舞台上肆意歌舞。

独立能使我们的国家变得更加强大。在封建社会的腐蚀下，从古代起，中国的发展就比西方发达国家慢。随着世界全球化的发展，各种各样的思想冲击着我们。我国是世界上最大的发展中国家，但我们能够满足这个称号吗?要跻身发达国家的行列，但在国际分工中我们只能拥有利润最少的一部分，这样可以吗?大树有了坚固的根，因此它可以茁壮成长。雄鹰有了健壮的翅膀，所以它能够自由翱翔。独立就是那坚固的根，那让中华民族迅速崛起的坚固的根;独立就是那健壮的翅膀，那让我们在世界翱翔的健壮的翅膀。虎门销烟，建立经济特区，这一次次的独立，都在让我们的国家变得更加强大。

没有了独立，那意味着什么?

抛弃独立，在黑暗中我们只会是一只盲头苍蝇，毫无方向。舍弃独立，在大海里我们只能够随波逐流，朝不虑夕。丢弃独立，在国际上我们只会原地踏步，为后人耻笑。在新的时代里，一次次新的独立，那就象征着一次次新的成功。过去的夜幕已不再黑暗，新生的太阳正从东方升起。

迈出独立的一小步，迎接我们的，将是成功的一大步。
