In my understanding, if we refer to an ideal college life as a formal western dinner, then a high GPA, that is, Grade Point Average, should be the main course, while an active part in activities, together with associations, means the appetizer. Those, however, are not what college life is all about. As we all know, college is wildly different from middle school. Charlie Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam. He flew 74 consecutive successful combat missions. However on his 75th mission, his F4Phantom fighter was destroyed by a surface-to-air missile and he was forced to eject. The only thing between him and imminent death was his parachute that he prayed would open. The parachute did open and Charlie made it down to the ground alive, but he was captured and spent 6 years as a prisoner of war in a Vietnamese prison camp.

Think about this for yourself. How many times in life do you pass the people who help you out the most? The people who come out of the far corners of your life just when you need them the most and pack your parachutes for you? The people who go the extra mile, the people who dont look for the kudos or the accolades or the achievement medal or even the bonus check—the folks who are just out there packing parachutes?

回到教室后，望着窗外阴沉沉的天气，我的心也是阴沉沉……妈妈往返在这溜冰场一样难行的路上，原本就很累了。现在却因为我的懒惰而要再走一个来回，想到这儿，我的心里很不好受，为我刚才的任性和蛮横的态度感到愧疚。心里七上八下的，既担心妈妈，又觉得内疚。

就这样，在忐忑不安中终于熬过了第一节课。

下课铃一响，我就跨出教室一路飞奔到了校门口，不住地往远处张望，搜寻妈妈的身影。忽然，我看到了一个人冒着鹅毛大雪，低着头，急匆匆而又小心翼翼地往前走，不时还停脚步向学校这边张望，是妈妈！我连忙向妈妈挥手，妈妈看到我，三步并作两步地跑来过来，等到妈妈走进我的时候，我的鼻头不禁一酸：妈妈的头发和眉毛上全是雪花，来帽子手套都没戴。肯定是街道我的电话就急急忙忙地赶过来了。我的眼泪一下子像断了线的珠子一般涌了出来，我扑到妈妈的怀里，紧紧地抱着妈妈。此刻我心中的千言万语都如鲠在喉。好不容易才挤出来一句：

“对不起，妈妈。”

妈妈一愣，不可置信地看着我，随后欣慰地笑了。妈妈摸了摸我的头，笑着说道：“我的宝贝长大了！快回去上课吧！”

回班后我的心情仍然很糟糕。

那天晚上写完作业后，我第一次拒绝妈妈给我收拾书包，自己打开记事本，按照记事本的要求，逐项检查第二天的物品是否带全，妈妈在一旁静静地看着。当我不经意地看向妈妈时，竟发现妈妈在偷偷地抹眼泪……

我从那天起，在心里默默下定决心，在今后的学习和生活中，一定要自己的事情自己做，学会做自己生活的主人！

What factor decides everyone’s opportunity? Some people believe that opportunity is just a matter of coincidence; other people believe that opportunity is around us, it needs people to perceive. In my opinion, besides what mention above, opportunity also needs us to create.

什么因素决定了每个人的机遇?一些人认为机遇只是巧合的事情,另外一些人认为机遇就在我们周围,它需要人去发现。在我看来,除了以上提到的,机遇也需要创造。

One factor that plays an important role in determining our opportunities is coincidence. For example, some people born in a rich family, they enjoy great chances to be successful, because the fame and the reputation from the family provide them chances. Comparing to those people who born in a poor family, they don’t have such chances, it is hard for them to seize the chances, they need to work for it.

决定我们机遇的一个重要原因是偶然。比如,一些人出生在一个富裕的家庭,他们享受着成功的巨大机遇,因为家庭的名利给他们带来了机遇。和那些出生在贫困家庭的人相比,他们没有这样的机遇,对于他们来说很难抓住机遇,他们需要创造机遇。

The other factor that plays an important role in determining our opportunities are our positive attitude. Opportunity often exists all around us, it is waiting for those people who are brave to grasp it. A person who is positive will perceive the chance, he will not be defeated by fail, still holding the hope that chances comes any minute, so they will grasp the chance as soon as it comes.

决定我们机遇的另一个重要的因素是我们乐观的态度。机遇总是围绕着我们,它等待着那些勇敢的人去发现。一个乐观的人会察觉到机遇,他不会被失败打败,仍然抱着希望,相信机遇随时来,所以当机遇来的时候,他们会立刻抓住。

In conclusion, everyone has the chance to be successful; it contains many factors, such as coincidence, attitude and others. In order to fulfill our lives, we must seize the chance to realize our dreams.

Nowadays in china，many students are the only child in their family.They are the apple of their parentseyes or even their granparents，so they are free of any house work or menial labor.and moral education is no more than some bookish thing.Studentsare largely dependent on their parents and teachers.

To educate them to be independent，the most effective way is to let them experience on their own.Therefore，they are better to be given the opportunity to get some train at school-to clean the washing room，which can be regarded as part of the moral education.

在学校，我经常受到老师的表扬，老师夸我是个“好孩子”；在家里，我常常帮父母做一些力所能及的事情，父母夸我是个“乖乖女”。不过，我太过于依赖父母，没有自己的主见，使我比某些同学显得有些逊色。

周末中午午饭，爸爸妈妈总是问我：“兔兔，今天中午想吃什么？”“随便，我吃什么都一样。”这时，爸爸妈妈在心里只摇头。其实，在人生道路上，有许多东西需要我们抉择，都需要说出自己的见解。尽管有时不一定正确，但是我们记住了这次的失误，等到下次抉择时，我们便会把正确的见解说出来。

在老师的眼里，我各方面都比较优秀。但不知什么原因，平时一向优秀的我，竟在电视台采访的时候语无伦次。有一次参加一个活动，活动结束后，电视台的记者采访我，问我有什么感受。这时，我的班主任以为我说的很流利，就回去上课了。可我说了几遍都不行，这下可把我急坏了。有个老师把班主任叫了过来，教我怎么说。在这方面，有优势的要属于我们班的“笑对人生”了。班主任给我讲：“有一次，我们办公室的一位老师久闻‘笑对人生’的大名，想采访他一次。没想到‘笑对人生’不紧不慢，张口就来，说的滔滔不绝，口若悬河。令老师们十分佩服。”据我所知，在我们班，“笑对人生”看的书籍最多，说起话来也颇有文人的风度。

刚刚期末考试完的试卷上，作文要求是“写一件令我难忘的事”。由于当时思维打不开，我写了一件关于老师的事，得了29。5分。分数不算太低，可内容不是那么吸引人，不够感动人。相比之下，“笑对人生”的作文得了满分。他写的是2009年10月1日国庆大阅兵的内容。他的思维比谁的都开阔，可能当时只有他一人想到了这个题目。小菜同学的作文类型和我的一样，也是写老师的，处处充满了对老师的感恩之情，显然比我的成功。

分析造成这样结果的原因，主要是我缺乏思维的独立性。这个寒假开始，我准备培养自己的独立思维能力，和父母一起读书，读完后交流自己的看法，提高语言表达能力，激发自己读书的兴趣，使自己的生活能力以及语言表达能力更上一层楼。

暑假，我去参加了夏令营，在这之前，从来没有离开过爸爸、妈妈，独自一人在外面过夜。在营里，什么事情都要自己做，比如：自己一个睡觉、整理内务、自己照顾自己、各不认识的同学相处。这让我学会了自己的事情自己做。

第一天，我不习惯那里的生活，到了晚上就很想回家，哭着给妈妈打电话，要求妈妈带我回家，可是妈妈却鼓励我说：“宝贝，你要试一试，要尝试在不同的地方和不同的人生活。”教官也说“你总有一天会离开爸爸妈妈，学会独立的。”后来我就想试试，也许我就可以呢。第二天我还是很回家，可是我没有哭了。我也完全投入第二天的活动与游戏，特别是灯塔游戏，是用软软的吸管搭一个牢固的灯塔，一共6组，我们组通过大家的努力得了第4名。

我觉得夏令营不仅好玩，还让我学会了独立。

以前，我一直以为自理能力没有多大的重要性，可自从我读了《鲁滨逊漂流记》一书后，才对自理能力有了新的认识。

一向爱好航海的鲁滨逊，在一次航海中遇难了!狂风巨浪夺去了同船伙伴的性命，只有鲁滨逊漂流到孤岛上，生活了二三十年。他没有储备粮食，没有生活用品，离开了社会，离开了集体，怎么能生存下去呢?然而。他没有被困难吓倒，先是靠几把鸟枪打猎度日，可子弹毕竟是有限的，所以他还不断的驯养禽兽，种植农作物，还自己做衣服、自己治病。就这样，鲁滨逊在孤岛上生活了二三十年。他这种生存能力是从哪里来的呢?不就是从有生活自理能力开始，然后才逐步形成独立生存的能力吗?可见，养成自理生活能力对我们是多么重要啊!

这使我不由得想起了自己，我的自理能力很差，什么事情都依靠妈妈，有时连衣服都让妈妈穿。屋子也很少收拾，我的书桌显得也不利落，桌子上的书本堆得像小山似的，抽屉里塞得满满的，地上全是纸，地板砖脏了也不擦，而且很少做家务活。每次上学书包常常收拾不好，丢三落四，为此还挨了老师的批评呢!

冰冻三尺非一日之寒。要想成为鲁滨逊那样的人物，我就得从现在开始锻炼我的自理能力。列出作息时间表，学习做家务，整理房间……虽然和鲁滨逊在孤岛上的独立生活比起来，我还差得很远，但是我有决心锻炼好我的自理能力，为今后的生活打下良好的基础，把自己锻炼成像鲁滨逊那样能克服一切困难的了不起的人物。

今天，我发言的题目是：学会独立。

进入21世纪，我们是家中的独生子女，自然父母是宠爱有加，所以我们是要什么有什么，可是我们一点儿也没有想过父母为了我们付出了多少的心血，多少的汗水。我们却还在那儿责怪他们，那个没有给我们买，这个没有给我们充的，真是不应该呀！

所以，我今天想在这里说出自己的心里话，也希望通过这篇文章能让大家明白：我们已经长大了，是个在孩子了，应该付起责任来了！希望大家能跟着我们脚步一起走向成功。

当然，想要彻底地变成大人，就必须做到这几点：1、要生活自理。2、会合理安排时间。3、要经济独立。但是，我们现在还不能经济独立，所以我们可以把它改成合理用钱，不要乱花乱用。

记得小时候，我听妈妈说：曾经有一个孩子，因为小时候父母亲太过宠爱他，使他长大后遇到一些小小的不顺心的事情也要生气或伤心一场，最后他精神失常了，变成了一个精神病人。

同学们，请你们现在就开始学会独立吧，这样对我们以后进入社会都会有好处的！

Good morning，ladies and gentlements， Its my honor to be here today. My name is Ramos， I am from Southeast University. My major is Mechanical design. In the past three years， Im always the top ten students in my class. I have passed the CET4 and CET6 with a high scores and also won the first prize scholorship in 214. In the university Im not only studying hard and but also actively join a lot of activities. I once participated in the Model united nation and organized some useful activities like English Corner for students English learning. My life in university is very colorful and fruithful， it helps me gain knowledge and makes me become more communicative and cooperative through leaning and activities.

Whats more， I worked for Quanfeng Group as a intern overseascustomers quality engineer this summer. I learned a lot about quality control， quality assurance， quality standard like ISO and EU. Last but not least， I also learned al ot more from custmers and designing engineers.

You know the overseas cusomers quality engineer requires the person who have excellent communication skills and proficient English skills to work with our overseas customers and engineers. Although sometimes its hard to solve the disputes， but it really helps me to build up my communication skills ， capabilities and oral English.
