在我9岁那年，大哥结婚，我当然兴奋。可是，当妈妈接完一个电话时，又对我说：“薇薇，你在这里也帮不上什么忙，你姑姑来了，妞妞也来了，你去招待一下客人吧！”这可把我难住了，一向胆小的我，怎么敢过那两条道：第一条是大道，附近几家都养着一些牧羊犬……凶猛地狗，我经常不来这里，狗狗们不熟悉我，经常会追过来。还有一条特别近的道：哪里有一片小河，却因时间长久成了一条垃圾河，在我6岁时，邻居梦颖的爷爷在家里捉到一条蛇，打死之后，扔到了那条河里，还经常有几条野狗出没来寻找食物。

我——一个爱哭的胆小鬼，在学校我容易被同学叫得大哭，在补习班，我时不时会因为一些感人的情节而泪水哗哗，在家里，我却因为怕黑而不敢独自睡觉……这是以前的我，现在我已不一样了，至少可以独自睡觉了。

第二天早晨，我学会了独立，从床上爬起，发现自己安然无恙，一根汗毛都没有少，再看看窗外原来昨天晚上的那个“小偷的人影”是个晾衣架呀！虚惊一场！不过从此以后，我都自己一个人睡觉了！

When I was in high school, go to college ismy dream. Now I realize my dream. excited as I am, the first time I see my college.

My college is inside the biggest university of Guangxi so that everytime I have to across a big campus to go out. At first Iam upset about that, but later on I get used to it. My college looks modernization in general. When I arrive at the school gate, the first thing is the boys’ dormitory and then is the playground. Look up! I see the canteen. I see the girls’ dormitory turn left. But where is my classroom? I look around but can’t find it. It turns out that it is separated by burrows. It’s strange,right? While I go across the burrow, I see another two big playgrounds and a tenniscourt at my left side. What is in my right side? Turn right, I see rows of teaching building connecting with the library. This is my college. I like it notonly because of the evironment but also the people there.

These days I have beenleisure but bored after finishing the final exam. Our school art festival is held once a year. I think this year’s was excellent because a lot of students and teachers took part in it. 在大学，不会再有老师苦口婆心的教诲和防腐不知疲倦的讲解；不会有每天做不完的习题和试卷；也不会天天为了分数、名次而焦急、苦恼……在体验大学生活的这一个月中，有这样一件事让我印象比较深刻：在大学的第一堂课上，有两个女生迟到了几分钟，按照以前的习惯打报告进教室。但后来老师说：“在大学中，如果你上课迟到或者有事想要早退的话，你不用打报告，只需悄悄地从后门出入，不要影响大家就好……”在这以后，我也遇到过其他在高中甚至想都不敢想的事情。比如可以随时出入宿舍和校门，因需要完成某事要逃课等。

所以，我总结出：大学，是一个完全靠自觉的过程。如果高中的我们还是一只雏鸟，那么大学的我们可以说已经长大，远离了父母的庇护，远离了老师的督促，剩下的只有自己做自己的主人。

所以，现在的我们要自己管好自己，自己规划自己美好的大学生活，并自己保证今后能够笑着谈起自己的大学生活。

大学的第二个特点就是有更多的时间和空间，大学中绝不会有从早上5点出宿舍上课直到晚上10点才回去休息的情况；也不会因为喜欢看《红楼梦》但怕被老师发现而东躲西藏的事情，更重要的是，在大学里有各种各样的活动等着你去参加和体验，而这些在高中都被视为纯属浪费时间的事情。其实，从这些事情中我们也能学到许多知识——课本里并没有的知识，学到许多经验或是教训，学到大学的丰富多彩……

所以，我认为，比知识更重要的是能力，而能力地培养需要一个过程，大学则是这样一个很好的过程。

大学，还有不同以往的种种特点：

大学，可以打手机、用电脑的地方，我们可以不必再为老师要查电子产品而苦恼，甚至把手机藏在垃圾桶里或者天花板上天；

虽然今年的暑假来得迟一些，但终归盼来了。暑假来临的第一天，妈妈心平气和地说：“我跟你商量一件事吧。”我有点好奇。妈妈说：“你去夏令营吗？”听了之后我有点犹豫不决，接着妈妈说夏令营回来之后有奖励，我爽快地答应了。

我满怀欣喜地来到夏令营基地，虽然那里没有家里舒服自在，但是我学会了许多新本领：比如种植花草、叠被子等。其实有的时候我挺想回家的，但是我暗暗下决心要坚持下来，心想：我是一个男子汉，我一定要学会独立。在夏令营的第八天，我完成了大部分的暑假作业，接下来的几天里就比较自在了。半个月的夏令营生活有时候感觉挺漫长的，有时候感觉时间过得飞快。当然在那里带给我更多的是欢乐，因为我在宿舍里认识了很多朋友，如果要细数，一下子是数不过来的。有打鼓能手，有围棋高手，还有专学绘画的在那里，我们还进行了一次难忘的野炊活动：包括煮面实践活动、小组合作的游戏等。这让我学会了要在合作中学习，才能让自己成长得更快。虽然是炎热的的夏天，但是那里的水很冰凉，每当训练结束以后，只要把手轻轻地放入水中，那感觉真舒服呀。虽然半个月的夏令营生活只有两次买零食的机会，但是我还是很高兴。

在夏令营结束的前一天，我们兴奋得一晚上没合眼。第十五天是我们跟营长、连长和教官们告别的时候，那也是我最激动的时候，因为我终于可以回到温暖的家了。因为半个月的夏令营生活，没有父母的陪伴，所以我学会了独立。

First I must say the campus life is really different from what I have experienced in high school.For instance,I used to lean upon my dormitory teacher to wake me up on time.But now I have to set several alarm clocks to make myself could hear them in the morning otherwise I would miss my class.And then even worse there would be nobody remind me

My campus activities are rich and colorful.Learning English has become a habit to me cause I plan to study abroad in next few years.Playing Guzheng is my favorite activity.I have kept on practising it since I was a little girl and I wish to win more competitions in my campus life.

Our university has the first level equipments and the most experienced teachers,also has the best students(laugh).I consider it to be a honor that Ive got a chance to study here and I sincerely hope that we could live wonderful lives in our campus!

这里所说的学习，主要指从书本上汲取间接经验。古今中外，凡成大学问者，无一不是博览群书，读破万卷的。人非生而知之，只有不断学习前人的经验、成果，充实自己的头脑，才能进一步有所发现，有所创造。革命导师马克思为了完成资本论这一巨着，曾在大英博物馆潜心研究，留下了深深的足迹。可见认真读书是成才所不可缺少的。要勤于学习，必须博览熟记，持之以恒。鲁迅先生说：读书“必须如蜜蜂一样，采过许多花，才能酿出蜜来，倘若叮在一处，所得就非常有限，枯燥了”。另外，学习还要持之以恒，要“戒怠荒，戒无恒，戒躁急，戒泛杂”，只有这样，才能学有所成。

然而，学习本身并非目的，学会举一反三，灵活运用知识才是真正的目的。为此，就必须发挥主观能动性，进行积极、认真的思考，弄清知识的来龙去脉以及知识的有机联系。如果学到的东西不经头脑加工，就好比吃下的食物未经口腔咀嚼、肠胃消化，即便是美味佳肴，也不会被身体吸取一样，非但无益，反而有害。法国作家伏尔泰对此有着十分精辟的论述，他说：“书读得越多而不加思考，你就会觉得你知道得很多。而当你读书思考得越多的时候，你就会清楚地看到你知道得还很少。”可见善于思考是多么重要！

要善于思考，就需要有蜜蜂酿蜜的精神。每一克甜美的蜂蜜不知凝聚了那小生命的多少的心血。思考也需要我们下苦功夫，以“打破沙锅问到底”的探索精神去钻研，切不可不懂装懂，浅尝辄止。

学习是思考的基础，思考是学习的升华。在学习的基础上思考，思考才能深入；在思考的前提下学习，学习才有效果。同时对所学的知识必须结合实际反复运用，知识才能巩固，技能才可纯熟，这就是我们掌握知识的必由之路。

愿我们大家都能勤于学习，善于思考，去勇敢地攀登科学知识之颠。

生活中，有些人并不能正确认识自己，更不能发现自己的潜能，他们往往是浑浑噩噩的过日子;若是这样，不仅虚掷青春，一事无成，于世无补，而且使个人生活也无质量可言，酿成一杯人生苦酒。这时有人给他猛击一掌是多么可贵呀!

叙个故事给你听：一个二十多岁的乞丐在街上行乞，遇上了一位中年人。中年人看他可怜，给了他几个铜子儿，便自言自语道：“总比偷和抢的好。”乞丐听了乐滋滋的，想不到世界上还有人肯定他。第二天，他来到一位老农身边，重复着昨天的行档，老农左右打量他一番，捞起自己的裤腿说：“看，我年纪都一大把了，还沾了一腿泥巴，年轻人，年富力强的，怎么干这一行?”刹那间，乞者脸红到耳根，撒腿就跑了，一口气回到自己的破茅屋后，耳边始终回荡的是老农的声音：“怎么干这一行?……”几年后，破茅屋幻变为新楼房，褴褛的乞丐衣换成了笔挺的新西装，他带着妻儿来到老农家：“是您让我捡起了人格和自信，是您让我看到了前途和希望。”老农又说：“哪里哪里，一切都靠你自己嘛，继续努力吧，前程会更好!”

人生之路短暂而有漫长，要想不虚度光阴，有所作为，干一番事业，必须真正认识自我。这个年轻人，身体健康，但缺乏自信，恐怕还有懒惰的毛病，丢失了自尊，以行乞为生，如果不遇到老农，不受到无情的斥责，他很可能还要混下去，可见关键时刻的苦口良药是多么重要，当然这个青年的本质是好的。以人为鉴可以间接认识自己，是一种客观的外力，但成功的关键在于自身。马克思主义哲学告诉我们：外因是变化的条件，内因是变化的根据，外因通过内因而起作用。生活有奔头，取决于一个人的理想和信念，而不能发现自我、认识自我的人又不能理想和信念。所以中学阶段这人生的黄金时期，要刻苦读书，积累学问，提高认识能力，应当树立远大理想，立志成材，报效祖国，奉献事业，服务人民。请不要将一切都归罪于命运。命运是失败者无聊的自慰，是懦弱者无奈的自嘲。鼓足勇气，把握好人生的方向盘，乘风破浪，驶向成功的彼岸。

人生，选择自立。

Going to college is an exciting thing for me, because I have been studying so hard to realize this dream. Before I went to the campus, I had good imagination about the college life. But the first year in the college makes me recognize the campus life.

上大学对于我来说是一件很兴奋的事情，因为我是如此的努力学习来实现这个理想。在我去到大学校园前，我对大学生活有着美好的想象。但是在大学的第一年让我从新认识了校园生活。

The first year in college, I spend a lot of time in studying. Before I went to college, I thought the college life would be very easy and I just could do whatever I want. But I did not expect that I still needed to pay so much attention on study. Everybody around me went to the library and I would be very guilty if I played. So college life was not that easy.

在大学的第一年，我花了很多时间在学习方面。在我上大学前，我以为大学生活会很轻松，我能为所欲为。但是我没有预料到我仍然需要花那么多时间来学习。在我身边的每个人都去去图书馆，如果我玩耍的话，很有罪恶感。所以大学生活并没有那么轻松。

When I lived far away from my home, I was so free, I enjoyed the freedom so much. My parents always kept their eyes on me, so I couldn’t be myself when I lived with them. Living in the dormitory, I could stay up and join the activities at night. It is the young guy’s right.

当我住得离家远，我很自由，我很享受这样的自由。我的父母总是盯着我，和他住在一起，我无法做真正的自己。住在宿舍里，我能熬夜，在夜间出去活动。这是年轻人的权利。

Though the first year in college isn’t that easy for me, I still enjoy the campus life.

虽然在大学的第一年对我来说不轻松，但是我很喜欢大学校园的生活。

独立生活对于现在的中学生来说是一个大问题，大家在家里都被爸妈宠着，过着饭来张口，衣来伸手的日子。这学期让我住校，真是给我出了一道难题。

住校的第一天，我很兴奋。来学校报到后，爸妈一离开，放学回寝室时，我的心里却挺不好受的。平时每天回家就能看见爸妈，但以后我只能在双休日和他们一起了。晚上，我们开始了第一天的晚自习。坐在教室里，我在想，等会儿还要洗衣服，整理好东西再睡觉，平时在家里我很少这样干的。熄灯睡觉时，我躺在床上，正好可以看见窗外的月亮。所以，我每晚都是看着月亮睡着的。

终于，到了中秋节。这个团圆的日子里多开心啊！当我看到别人的父母来寝室叫他们儿子、女儿回家过中秋节，看到他们的父母买了好多好多的东西给他们子女送来时，我难过了。我回到寝室，泡了方便面。吃面时，从未一个人过节的我眼里都是泪水，于是我拿起电话打给我爸。听到爸爸的声音，我好难过。当爸爸叫我回家时，我也好难过。当爸爸问我在吃什么时，我更难过。我回答说吃方便面时，爸的声音高了，说：“这怎么行啊！”我说：“行啊，这样也好啊。你明天再给点好吃的吧。”说这句话时我有点哽咽，说出来很不容易。但当我想到以后独立的生活还很长时，我变坚强了，一个人就一个人，这样也很好啊。

晚上，晚自习回来，我看看天上，竟看到不月亮，我好失望。我只希望我的中秋节里有月亮陪我就行了，哪想到连月亮也不陪我。为什么人都有这样一种反应：平时出门在外，不会很想家，一到节日，那种想家的感觉真是痛苦。

这个中秋节，我就这样吃着泡面过了。虽然觉得心里很不是滋味，但这晚给我以后的独立生活打了一点基础。我要慢慢学会独立生活。

My life in the University of Education

How time flies! It has been about two years since I came to the University of Education. Every coin has two sides. On the one hand, I am quite satisfied with my university life. On the other hand, life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected.

University is not only a place where you can learn something useful from textbooks, but also a place where you can improve your ability to communicate with others.

During the year university study, I can not only acquire a lot of book learning, but also foster various abilities. All types of extracurricular activities such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and traveling provide opportunities to make friends, many of these friendships may last a long time. I like talking and playing with others, so I own many friends. Sometimes I feel lonely, angry and also homesick. But fortunately I own these good friends. They helped me spend these sad days. I find words cannot express my sincere thanks to them. But I know when they need help; I will do everything that I can do to help those who helped me before.

I like going to the library where you can find these words on the wall: "Knowledge is power." and "Keep silence!" after class every day. Because I know that we must learn every day. I think the life in university of Education is full of freedom, but I never waste time. Life is not easy

for everybody, especially for those who hopes to lead a happy life”, a famous lady once said. That is to say, you have to try your best to learn and to pass exams in order to make your life become better and better with time going on. So I never give up learning even go to the college.

Sometimes I also want to own more free time to do my own things. But we have too many classes. So I think life in my university is not as satisfactory as what we had expected. The teaching method is boring; instead of lecturing, some teachers just "read" lessons. I hate it. I want to more free time in class.

During the time I spend at the University of Education, I not only develops my intellectual abilities, I also develop social skills as well as knowledge and wisdom necessary for choosing a future career.

In short, we should value our life in the University of Education. Although there are many things lacking, the four years in the university is a worthwhile period in our whole lifetime.

这几天，我爸爸妈妈要到河源出差，所以要到奶奶家住两个晚上。呀!两个晚上?这可不容易熬呀!可是如果我不去奶奶家就到别家去了，唉!还是听“圣旨”吧!

在去奶奶家的路上，我满脑子的疑虑。夜晚要是我睡不着怎么办?谁给我洗衣服?只剩下我和奶奶，白天怎么过?这时，我忍不住了“哇”的一声扑到爸爸妈妈的怀里哭了，爸爸妈妈不断地安慰我，还说了一大堆道理呢。

不久我就来到了奶奶家，我拥抱了一下爸爸妈妈，拿起行礼就往奶奶家门口跑去。我进去的时候跟奶奶打个招呼，就上到二楼洗澡去了。我为了能快点睡觉，又看书又做作业，可是仍不觉得眼困;我又从二楼跑到四楼，从四楼跑到二楼，可是不但一点睡意也没有，还却越跑就越精神。怎么办呢?怎么办好呢?啊对呀!我怎么没有想到呢?我扑到电话旁边，熟练地拨打家里的电话。啊!通了。“喂?”一声甜美的声音发出来。“妈妈!我好想你啊!我为什么会睡不着?你教教我怎么才睡得着吧!”我哭了。“小傻瓜!怎么会睡不着呢?只要你想着爸爸妈妈，想一想你最开心的情景，不就睡着了嘛。”妈妈说。“那好，我只好试试吧。妈妈晚安!”我挂了电话，刷了牙，洗了脸，就走进二哥的房间里，把灯关了，躺在床上，闭上眼睛，慢慢就睡了，我想着三年纪汇报会的时候，同学们给我庆祝生日的情景，啊那时候是多么的开心啊!还有去旅游的时候，我们一齐去玩摩天楼的时候，大家都很害怕，呵呵!她们是多么的小胆……突然，房间亮起来了，原来是大姑妈，她也睡啦?如果我睡不着怎么办?我心急便精神起来，把刚才的睡意都给赶走了。大姑妈跟我说:“茵，我把灯关了。”我忍着眼泪说:“哦!”“嗒”眼前昏暗了，我一想起爸爸妈妈离开奶奶家的情景，我的眼泪一滴一滴地从眼角滑下来，把枕头都弄湿了，后来我想起二哥明天就回来了，“嘻”的一声，笑了。最后，经过我的“一番努力下”终于进入甜梦中了。

早晨，一缕阳光透过窗户射进房间，我擦了擦眼睛，起了床。当我回忆起昨晚我哭的事，我也觉得恨羞耻。正所谓“不经一番彻骨寒，怎得梅花扑鼻香”。呵，多有意思的一个难眠之夜啊!

Nowadays, colleges and universities enroll an increasing number of students year after year. After four years of study, they have to meet more and more rivals in the labor market, usually many of them going home with no work at all, disappointed.

With more graduates and less job vacancies, students are encouraged to start business of their own when they graduate from university. They may start take up anything they are interested in, make decision on their own, and obtain the fruit of their own labor. In this way, graduates will become more independent, imaginative and creative.

Yet this process should be supported by our government. The government should provide special policies for these students, and when necessary, guide them onto a correct road.

Charlie Plumb was a US Navy jet pilot in Vietnam. He flew 74 consecutive successful combat missions. However on his 75th mission, his F4Phantom fighter was destroyed by a surface-to-air missile and he was forced to eject. The only thing between him and imminent death was his parachute that he prayed would open. The parachute did open and Charlie made it down to the ground alive, but he was captured and spent 6 years as a prisoner of war in a Vietnamese prison camp.

查理·普拉姆是一名越战时美国海军喷气机飞行员。他曾驾机连续成功执行了74次战斗任务。然而，在他第75此执行任务时，他的F4幽灵战斗机被一发地对空导弹炸毁，他被弹射了出去。唯一能够从死亡的边缘挽救他的就是随身带的降落伞，他祈祷着伞能打开。结果，降落伞顺利打开了，查理得以活着着陆，但被敌军俘虏，在越南监狱里被关了6年。

One day, many years after returning to his homeland, Charlie and his wife were sitting in a little restaurant in Kansas City when he noticed two tables over was this guy who kept looking at him.

他回到祖国很多年后的一天，查理和妻子坐在堪萨斯城的一个小饭馆里，发现隔着两桌，有个人一直在看他。

Finally the guy stood up and walked over to Charlies table and said, “Youre Captain Plumb.Youre that guy. You flew jet fighters in Vietnam. Youre a fighter pilot, part of that Top Gun outfit. You launched from the aircraft carrier Kitty Hawk, you parachuted into enemy territory and you spent six years as a prisoner of war.”

终于，那人站起来走向查理的桌子，对他说：“你是普拉姆机长。就是你，你在越南驾驶喷气战斗机，你是个战斗机飞行员，穿着飞行服的‘精英一族’。你从吉提霍克号航空母舰起飞，跳伞落到了敌军阵营，后来作为战俘被关了六年。”

Somewhat dumbfounded, Charlie looked up at the guy and asked, “How in the world did you know all that?” The man chuckled and said, “Because I packed your parachute.”

查理听完几乎目瞪口呆，他抬头看着那个人问道：“你怎么，怎么会知道所有这些?”那人呵呵笑道：“因为我帮你打包整理的降落伞。”

Charlie was speechless. The man grabbed Charlies hand and pumped his arm and said, “I guess it worked,” and walked off.

查理一句话都说不出来。那人抓住查理的手，拉着他的胳膊说：“我想降落伞真的起作用了，”然后就转身走了。

Charlie laid awake that night, thinking about all the times he had walked through the long narrow room, below sea level on the aircraft carrier, with the tables where the men packed the parachutes. He wondered how many times he must have walked past this man without even saying “hi,” “good morning” or “good job” or “I appreciate what you do.”

当天晚上查理失眠了，想到在潜入水下的航母上，他走过那间长长的狭窄的房间，许多人围着桌子为飞行员打包降落伞。他想到自己不知有多少次曾与那个人擦身而过，却都没有说一句“你好”，“早上好”，或是“干得好”，“对你做的我很感激”之类的话。

“How many times did I pass the man whose job would eventually save my life…because I was a jet jockey, because I was a fighter pilot and he was just a sailor? ” he asked himself.

“我有多少次走过那个最终救了我命的人身边却无视他?因为我是个飞行员，是个战斗机飞行员而他仅仅是个水手?”他质问自己。

Think about this for yourself. How many times in life do you pass the people who help you out the most? The people who come out of the far corners of your life just when you need them the most and pack your parachutes for you? The people who go the extra mile, the people who dont look for the kudos or the accolades or the achievement medal or even the bonus check—the folks who are just out there packing parachutes?

回过头想想自己吧。人生中有多少次你曾无视地走过帮助你最多的人?那个看似离你的生活最远，却在最需要的时候默默替你打包降落伞的人?那些多付出一些的人，那些不求功名利禄，不求奖章甚至好处的人——那些仅仅是打包降落伞的人?

鸟儿长大了，总要学会在碧蓝的天空中展翅翱翔；鱼儿长大了，总要学会在广阔的海洋里无边畅游；而人长大了，也总要学会在坎坷的道路上独自面对，我第一次学会独立，便是独自在家保卫阵地，当时的我，只有幼儿园的文化水平。一想起那夜，我便扑哧地笑了出来

那天，夜静悄悄的，月亮灰蒙蒙的，星星宝宝们似乎很害怕，都依偎在云奶奶的怀里，不肯把小脸露出来。窗外，吹来几丝凉爽的风。这种恐怖的鬼片情景似乎是老天爷早就准备好的。安静的家里，我紧紧地缩成了一团，不住地朝着四周围张望，嘭~什么声音，我朝着窗户望去，妈呀！鬼来了！我不禁大叫，只见一个妖魔鬼怪正手舞足蹈地向我走来。稚气的我连忙跑到阳台，拿来了金哭棒，装成孙悟空的模样，呆，妖怪，吃我一棒！正想朝妖怪打去，定神一看，竟然是挂在窗户上的猪脚，真是让我哭笑不得还记得当时，我做了一件很幼稚的事，睡觉前，我用彩色蜡笔在纸上画了栩栩如生的大老虎，还很得意地把它贴在了门上，这才安心入睡，因为我相信有大老虎保护我，谁都不敢来欺负我的！

第一次独自在家的情景仍然让我记忆犹新，因为那是我第一次学会了独立，也是我在坎坷的成长道路上成功的一步！

As a primary source of information as well as an efficient means of communication, the Internet offers people a colorful and convenientlife. Just by clicking the mouse, we can enjoy a brilliant and easy life that could not be achieved ever before: shopping, making friends, contacting

For its convenience, the Internet has attracted people like magnets and some people even claim that it is indispensable. To them, life can’t go on without it. As far as I am concerned, I don’t approve of uestrained Internet reliance. Although the Internet is a gift of the technological revolution and a blessing of this information age, we should never let it control our life. The Internet absolutely doesn’t mean the whole world to us. Instead, we should guard against its negative effects. To those Internet addicts, I would add: “Self-control can make or break your life. With proper use, the Internet serves you; otherwise, it kills you.”
