It is not a piece of sensational news; it is a fact, a harsh reality. Unfortunately, we may not see these animals in the near future.

From the second picture, we can find some reasons. Why is the number of animal species declining year by year? Apparently animals have become victims of fashion industry. Animal skin has been used to make fashionable clothes and these clothes sell at a high price. So some greedy people begin to kill animals in a large quantity. This irresponsible behavior not only breaks the balance of nature but also endangers the living environment of human beings.

As far as I am concerned, something must be done to stop this illegal action. We believe "no buying, no killing". First, we must make concerning laws to protect these animals in danger. Second, we must take some measures to protect animals effectively. Animals are our friends and part of our environment. 清明节时，我和妈妈去艾山游玩。我们来到了艾山，但并没有直接进去玩耍，而是在外面大略的浏览了一下。在艾山门口的右边，有一片桃花林，站在高处向下眺望，桃花林仿佛一片花海。当我仔细看的时候，发现桃花林里有许多垃圾。突然有一个青年人走进桃花林，手里还拿着一些零食，他一摆手，后面有几个男生和女生走了过来，他们手里拿着许多吃的东西，其中一个男生吃完东西，就将袋子随手一扔，我看见了就说：“这些桃花林是让人欣赏的，而不是让你们随意扔垃圾的。”那几个男生一听到这话立刻就跑了，然后我在一块木牌上，帖上这样几个字“保护桃花，让世界充满色彩。”我把它插在桃花林前，希望人们能够注意到它，我们看完了桃花，又在艾山门口逛了一下。在艾山门口，有一些人摆着小摊卖的小蝌蚪。有很多人围在那里异口同声的说：“好漂亮呀。”我快步的走上前，旁边一个五六岁的小女孩笑着说：“哇，好可爱的小蝌蚪呀，我要买5只。”我挤进人群里，对卖小蝌蚪的人说：“叔叔，小蝌蚪不能买。”叔叔抬起头对我说：“小蝌蚪为什么不能卖？”我很有耐心地跟叔叔说：“因为小蝌蚪长大以后能变成青蛙，青蛙被称为农田卫士、害虫天敌，按品种的不同，一只青蛙一年可以吃到，5-40万只害虫，在稻田中，放养适量的青蛙，这样不仅可以减轻农作物病虫害，而且可以避免因喷洒农药所造成的环境污染，青蛙不仅是农田卫士，害虫天敌，他那熟悉而又悦耳的蛙鸣，其实就如同是大自然弹奏不完的美妙的乐曲，是一首恬静而又和谐的田野之歌。”我说完，叔叔惭愧地走了。朋友们，让我们一起来保护环境，保护动物吧！

Many wild animals are facing the danger of extinction, because the environment that they are living in has changed greatly. For example, with the developmet of cities, the using of insecticide and serious pollution, their living areas have become narrowcr and narrower. Many of the wild animals, now are confronted with food crisis. At the same time, man is killing off species just for getting their fur, skin, horns, teeth and meat.

许多野生动物正面临绝种的危险，因为它们生活的环境发生了极大的变化。例如，随着城市的发展，杀虫剂的使用和严重的污染，他们的生活区域变得越来越狭小。许多野生动物，现在面临粮食危机。同时，人类正在屠杀野生动物只是为了获得它们的皮毛，皮肤，角，牙齿和肉。

In order to protect our resources of ecology, people should realize that the loss of any species is at least the loss of source of knowledge and a source of natural beauty. There fore, measures of the following should be taken: pollution standards are made to keepdown poisons; killing off certain rare species is prohibited; national parks should be set up as wild life, reserves.

为了保护生态资源，人们应该意识到任何物种的缺失，至少意味着知识资源和自然美的缺失。因此，本应采取以下措施：制订污染标准以降低有毒物质;严禁杀害某些稀有物种;应建立国家公园作为野生动物，保护区。

Only if we human beings take some drastic measures can wild animals be preserved.

我们只有采取一些有力措施，才能保护野生动物。

Animals are our good friends. People should be friendly to them. But now, many people in China as well as in the world kill animals in order to get money. Its well known that there are many kinds of rare animals in China, such as pandas, golden monkeys and so on. Some people catch or kill them. They use their furs and skins to make clothes and shoes or eat their meat. As a result, a lot of rare animals have disappeared.

What a pity!

At present, our government have made some plans to punish these people. Recently, some nature parks have been built. Lots of money collected for protecting them. For example, some students put on perfom ances or have other kinds of activities to collect money for rare animals.

Its our duty to protect wild animals. As nature is like a big family, man and animals must live together in it peacefully. We must keep the balance of nature. If we do like this, our world will become better and better.

动物是人类的好朋友，人们应该善待它们，但现在，中国和世界上的许多人为赚钱而捕杀动物。众所周知，中国有许多珍稀动物，如熊猫、金丝猴等。一些人捕杀它们是为了用它们的皮毛制衣制鞋，或是为了食用它们的肉。

结果大量的珍稀动物死亡了，真可惜呀!

目前，我国政府已制定出有关严惩不法分子的法律;近来又建起了一些自然公园;人们：也捐款来支持保护动物的活动，如，有些学生通过义演或用其它方式为保护珍稀动物积极筹款。

我们有义务保护野生动物，因为自然就像一个大家庭，人类和动物必须和平共处：我们必须保持生态平稳。

如果人类能这么做，这个世界就会越来越好。

In the past, there have been many endangered animals. Now they are extinct. Does it matter? Has our environment been affected by their absence? Has the quality of our own life been changed? The answer to these questions is "Yes."

Yes. It does matter if we destroy an endangered species habitat to develop more farmland, housing or industrial parks. There is a delicate balance of nature. If one small part is removed, it will effect all the other parts. For example, if certain trees are cut down, bats will have no place to roost. If they cannot roost, they cannot breed. If there are no bats, there will be no animal, or bird to eat certain insects that plague our crops.

Yes. Our environment has been affected by the absence of certain animals. Certain flowers are pollinated by butterflies, which migrate from Canada to Mexico. Some of the breeding grounds of these butterflies were destroyed. Now these flowers are disappearing from certain areas. We will no longer be able to enjoy their beauty.

Yes. The quality of our life has been changed America used to be covered with giant trees. Now we have to visit them in one small park. Rain forests around the world are being cut down to make room for humans. We will never be able to see or study this fragile ecosystem.

I would encourage us humans to look for other alternatives for our farmlands, housing, and industries. We have alternatives; the animals do not.

If none of these beneficial animal pests will increase. So, I can not even spirit pesticides and pest. We should to protect the animal together.
