Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the traditional Chinese festivals. It falls on the 15th day of Augustlunar month every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too many people can reject the temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I have two reasons.

First of all, Mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunion. In China, people regard Mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional festival. There are laws tomake sure people have holidays on that special day. In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal on that day. All the food is delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interested in delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration forMid-autumn day. It tastes good, too. It is the tradition for a long time. How pleased to enjoy the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love Mid-autumn festival so much.

日本：虽然日本非基督教国家，但战后日本过圣诞节的风气十分风靡。原因之一与各大商家的促销有关。有的百货公司以圣诞树作装潢，在店内布置雪景，增加银色圣诞的气氛。各色茶店、夜总会、酒吧也都安置一株圣诞树以应景。十二月中旬各商店人山人海，大家为准备圣诞礼物赠送亲友而忙碌。善心人士亦趁机致赠礼品予东京室内五十二所肢体及心智障碍的儿童。

On Christmas night, my mother took me to the street. I saw the streets and the sea of people. The goods in the shops, a superb collection of beautiful things beyond count, and high quality and inexpensive, people are busy purchasing the goods. At a small ornament shop, my mother bought me a Christmas hat for me as a Christmas gift.

I happily wear Christmas hat, continue to walk in the street, in a photo in front of my mother and I saw Mitch and Minnie respectively on both sides of the station in the door, put a different posture, to attract customers. Christmas is one of the most important celebrations of the year for the western countries. it falls on the twenty- fifth of december and has the same importance as chinese new year to people with english backgrounds. the celebration is for the birth of jesus christ, who is the son of god in christianity. now days christmas is no longer only celebrated by the christians, but by most people from all over the world.

On the twenty- fourth of december everyone gets excited for it’s the day before christmas which is called christmas eve. the children are usually sent to bed early and are warned that “santa claus will only come and give you a present if you be good.” the younger kids actually believe that santa will come down the chimney on the sleigh that’s pulled by his reindeers. food like short bread and beer are prepared for santa when he comes, however most times parents just eat them. some children put socks and sacks up for the holding of the presents (that their parents put in).

Rise and shine on christmas morning! the children are always the first ones to wake up, some even do at four. present wrappers everywhere! they look into their presents with a big smile on their face and oh dear….i hope no one’s disappointed. i feel sorry for anyone that got pink underwear. children play while dinner is prepared by the adults. the christmas dinner are usually eaten together by relatives. the tradition of christmas pudding and roosters are usually eaten with deserts afterwards. the rest of the day is usually games and fun before the good days all come to an end.
