乡村的一天，无疑是美丽，欢快的一天。

乡村的早晨，一声公鸡打鸣“喔——喔——喔”，划破了长空，云彩被染成了各种各样的颜色，红的、黄的、蓝的、绿的、黑的，让人眼花缭乱，天空也已不是天蓝色的了，而是橙红色的了，仿佛仙女们把许许多多的颜色洒在了天空上，形成了这样一幅唯美的画面，太阳升起了，他的光是那么柔和，光芒也一点不刺眼，全身都是橙色的，慢慢的升向高空。村庄被薄薄的雾气所掩盖，远处的房屋若隐若现，小草、小花上，晶莹的露珠是那么的无暇，让人不可挑剔。小鸟唧唧喳喳地唱着歌，迎接新一天的到来，鱼儿们一晚上待在水底，早就想出来，不想待在沉闷的水底，来个“鲤鱼跳龙门”，表达对新一天到来的欣喜。

我是四年级下期才来百仕达小学的插班生，对学校的英语水平早有耳闻，令我闻风丧胆。果然，在插班考试的英语试卷上，满是我不认识的单词和语法知识。看了几眼之后，我就胡乱蒙题，结果可想而知。

Thanksgiving which falls on the fourth Thursday of November, is one of the

biggest American holidays. This holiday started in the early 1600s after

settlers arrived in America. These people who came from Europe didnt know how

to survive in the wild new country. Luckily, they met some friendly American

Indians, who showed them how to hunt turkeys and grow corn. In the fall, after

the harvest, the settlers had a great feast. They invited the Indians to thank

them for their help. Today the tradition continues. On Thanksgiving Day,

Americans invite their friends over for a turkey dinner and give thanks for what

I am a shy girl, when there is activity in my class, I will run away from it and try to be nobody. But in my heart, I want to be noticed and show my talent. Everybody wishes (hopes) to get money so that he can maintain his

livelihood。 In other words， money is so useful that it is impossible for mankind
