终于等到了开饭，一盘盘色香味俱全、香喷喷的饭菜端上桌来，我看得眼花缭乱。开饭喽！我狼吞虎咽的把这美味佳肴直往嘴里塞，吃了一个圆溜溜的小肚子。妈妈把果汁和红酒拿出来，倒在高脚杯里。这是我们每年必备的一个节目———新年祝愿（每年的年夜饭前我们都要把自己认为最好的祝愿送给家人）。今年还是我第一个上场，我端起酒杯祝愿爸爸和妈妈———寿比南山，笑口常开，工作顺利。爸爸妈妈也把他们的祝愿送给了我，祝我身体健康天天好心情。然后我们端起酒杯，“干杯”！我们的家真是一个温馨和睦的家庭，我爱我家。

Wait until the last dinner, a few color aroma and taste, delicious food on the table, I see dazzling. Dinner! I wolfed down the food it straight into his mouth, eat a round belly. Mom take out the fruit juice and wine, pour in the goblet. This is our annual program — — — new years greetings. We must give our best wishes to our families before the annual meal. This is my first play, I wish mom and Dad took up his glass of — — — longevity, happiness, work smoothly. Mom and dad gave me their wishes, and I wish me good health every day. My family is not only a big meal, but also a happy family. I am proud of having a mother who can cook delicious food, and I am proud of having a happy family.

Last Saturday--April 28th, my classmates and I went to the park near my

school. Can you guess what we did there?Not for amusement but to take part in a

volunteer labour.

We reached the park at nine oclock. The whole class was divided into three

groups. I was in Group Three.

Each group had different tasks. Group One planted trees and watered

flowers. Group Two was told to pick up litter left by the tourists and cleaned

all the benches. The group that I was in wiped all the equipment in the

Childrens Playground. All of us worked hard.

Before noon we finished working. Each of us felt a little bit tired, but we

were happy because we had done a good deed.

Saving Water

The world is not only hungry,but also thirsty for water. This may seem strange to you, since nearly 75 % of the earths surface is covered with water. But about 97% of this huge amount is sea water, or salt water. Man can only drink and use the other 3% -- the fresh water that comes from rivers, lakes,underground, and other sources. And we cannot even use all of that, because some of it is in the form of icebergs and glaciers. Even worse, some of it has been polluted.

However, as things stand today, this small amount of fresh water, which is constantly being replaced by rainfall, is still enough for us. But our need for water is increasing rapidly-- almost day by day. Only if we take steps to deal with this problem now can we avoid a severe worldwide water shortage later on. A limited water supply would have a bad effect on agriculture and industry. Let me give you just one small exampie of how necessary water is to industry. Did you know that to produce a single ton of steel, it takes about 91, 000 liters of water?

We all have to learn how to stop wasting our precious water. One of the first steps we should take is to develop ways of reusing it. Experiments have already been done in this field, but only on a small scale. For us, the systems are as important as the spacecraft.
