wentback towards the town. As he was hopping about, the animal control
officercame and shouted to him;the parrot understood, and started to fly up. The
van of the so called “Animal controller”, followed until the gas ran out. He had
no choice but to give up.
Now of course, the green parrot escaped out of sight, and found some twigs
that were going to help him be comfortable during the whole free time. When the
pirate Captain Cook came back from his journey; he stopped a while to find
treasure on an island during his way pass. Once or twice a time he would turn
back and sail for land, but he couldn’t make up his mind. At last he got the
treasure from his mates, and started for land immediately, they kept the
treasure in a box, which had a code of handsome Ship. None of his mates knew
that, so whenever they wanted to steal some gold from the Captain, they would
have to enter the code.
Now let’s go back to the parrot; the parrot was actually having a pretty
good time, but his nest became a pretty kettle of fish. His eyesight was not too
bad either; nor his ears. When Captain Cook’s ship came closer to land, the
parrot was all ears to hear what he was saying. “Mates, you go down and fetch as
much gold as you can, while I stay here. I ve had a long week of sailing onthis
ship, so I’m going to stay in my bed and kick back.”
His mates were like servants and obeyed immediately. The parrot, however;
heard his every word, and wanted to stay and live with the captain. He had a
plan, and then he flew down and tickled a mate’s toe. The mate laughed, and the
parrot stopped. When the mate paid attention to the parrot, the mate said, “How
are you doing?” the parrot answered, “Great; how are you doing?” “Not too bad,
thanks;” “Take it easy,” they soon became friends, and chatted all along, “So,
can you give me a home to live on the ship?” “Sure thing, piece of cake;” when
they got the parrot on the ship; the captain came out, and became friends with
the parrot also.
The parrot gave him advice, and he became wealthy and returned all the
gold, but kept the treasure he found himself on other islands. If people trouble
the parrot, the captain with which will defeat those guys with his mighty
sword.

Dear Tom,
Im just writing to let you know that were all well, and I hope you are, too. Unfortunately, Ive got some rather bad news for you: Im afraid I made a bit of a mess of Johns car. Anyway, heres what happened.
We were on our way to Carols after a long party, and I suppose it must have been about eleven o’clock. Well, the last few miles back home were really dark and deserted. I now realize I was probably going a bit too fast for a country lane because, although the road was fairly straight, I drove up onto the curb and went into a tree.
Of course, John was absolutely furious and started shouting at me and cursing. After we d argued for a few moments, we decided to look at the damage, and he calmed down a bit. Well, we found we could move the car, but the wing was caught on the wheel, so we couldnt drive it. I tried to pull the wing clear, but I didnt succeed.
Anyway, John went off to phone for a breakdown lorry, but while he was away, I had another go at the wing and this time succeeded in pulling it right off. I threw it onto the back seat, and by that time John got back and we were ready to go?so we didnt need the breakdown lorry at all. John has more or less forgiven me now, but he was very angry with me for a few days. I suppose I was a bit careless.
Well, thats all for now. Next time I write I hope Ill have better news for you.
Yours sincerely,
Linda Chen

I’m Li Hua, one of your students in China. It’s almost a month since you left us. We all miss you and are very grateful for what you did for us.
We are busy as usual. We had an English speech contest the other day. I won the first prize! This again reminds me of all your kind help. Do you still remember the trees we planted together on the hill behind the school? Yesterday, we went there and watered them. The tree you planted yourself is growing well, and the whole class decided to name it Sue Wood. Will you come back to see Sue Wood?
How is everything with you lately? We hope to know more about you and your American students. Hope to keep in close touch.
All the best.

her parents couldn’t help bearing her crying and got her a phone with purple
dots and a little smiley face on it.
So life went on as usual until one day. when she was walking down town, she
saw a house, filled with decorations. She knew at once that this house was
having a party for somebody. Perhaps they were celebrating a birthday, or Happy
Anniversary… Mary really wanted to enter the party, so she begged them to let
her in and have a great time. They promised to let her in as long as she could
do what they asked.
And that request was to make bread for the poor and buy milk for them to
drink. That sounded like an easy request to grant, so she used her phone to call
her dad to get some bread and milk for the poor. But there was a problem, “No
phones allowed!” cried the owner of the house standing out. He held onto Mary’s
phone and pulled it out of her hand. He deleted her phone numbers and message
box, and then he took the batteries out, in case she had some other plans.
“There, now you couldn’t use your phone anymore,” and the owner went
inside. So poor Mary used her pocket money which was for a new dress for the
school party, to buy bread and milk for the poor; she was very sad, and went
back and said that she had finished her work.
“Where is your proof?” asked the owner again, “I-I didn’t know you wanted
me to give you proof?” “Well then you are out,” and he closed the door
tightly.

+ 加入清单One of the most popular sentences online states that “remember...always act
like you ‘re wearing an invisible crown.”What the saying indicates is the
importance of confidence,an attitude that we should take toward our life.
It’s generally accepted that confidence plays a very vital role in one’s
life. But do you really know what dose self-confidence mean? Well, it means that
you have strong belief that you can do things and you will succeed in the end.
If you want to do something well, you must have faith in yourself. Just like the
old saying goes, confidence in yourself is the first step on the road to
success. Otherwise, you may hardly to do anything right. Some people love to
complain how incapable they are or how difficult their tasks are, they never
think about the problem in themselves, which is lack of confidence. If they
fail, they will refuse to have another try. Then they will never ever have the
chance to overcome difficulties.
May be destined to a persons character, it is not easy to change. But if
everyone into confident on their own elements, their life will become more
colorful, more open. You may ask why you are confident? I think: confidence +
opportunity = success. So self-confidence is indispensable azuowenry conditions.
Everyone thinks oneself from birth, fate dominate everything, all want to follow
the path of destiny. If you have such idea, may be you are wrong. Destiny is
master in your hand, opportunity is in your side. The you find place, it did not
work. Dont let the chance to run out in front of you, the first to catch the
opportunities, of course. However, get the opportunities, of course, is a good
thing. But people have the opportunity to dont you will achieve success. Some
people often suffer from failure tripping, overwhelm be heavy setbacks, let
these people thought he was a mediocre person, chance on them. Success will
become very slim. So have the opportunity is important, the most important thing
is that you have confidence. Even if you get upset about my setbacks, as long as
you have a good mood, have full confidence in myself. Believe that failure and
frustration on you again, can also be solved. So self-confidence is very
important for a person, even if you dont have too much talent, have the
confidence you have into a big step away from success than others. Albert
Einstein said, confidence is to take the first step to success. So people should
have confidence, also need confidence in life.
In a word, as a saying says,” Make the most of yourself, for that is all
there is of you. "Confidence for us is an indispensable part of our life.

jolly fellow that helped people when they were in need.
The only problem was, whenever there was somebody in need, he would give
them something to eat so as to solve their problems. The people in his country
soon became sick of this, and so wanted him to stop. But Marlin just won’t; and
went on helping and helping and helping… nobody knew when he was going to stop,
or when they were going to let him know that they didn’t want him to bother all
day. Ugh, but Marlin wouldn’t stop; all day long he helped this and that, the
problem was that people don’t want to mordacity him, and they said that he was
very kind.
One day, Marlin saw a boy crying, and said, “Hey there little one; don’t
cry, I, the super Marlin is here! And I am going to solve your problem!” “I want
a music box,” at these words, Marlin was astonished, “A-a music b-box?” “Yes,”
replied the boy jumping happily, “But my parents won’t buy me one. It is at the
shop near Sunshine school. I hope to get me one! Wahoo!” Marlin said, “I
couldn’t afford a music box! It is worth $100!”
Marlin was very sad, but also wanted to try, for he was the king of
everything, and helps save the day. He ran to his house, and counted his money,
but found out that he only had $10. He was now very, very angry. He had decided
to earn more and more money, and so to help that poor little boy. As he had
promised, he worked very hard to earn money. Although he was just a little boy,
he ought to do what he had said; for those are the rules. And when he had enough
money, he would buy the music box, and hand it to that poor boy.
Marlin did anything he could to earn money: Sweep the floor, clean his
room; grow plants, water them, and cut flowers for the house. When he had
already $90, he had decided to help other people. When it was already winter, he
took a shovel and helped his neighbors, friends to shovel snow; and they paid
him a great deal of money.
At last, Marlin had got enough money; he was so excited that he hopped here
and there ten times! Finally, he went to the store near Sunshine school, and
bought the music box, and then handed it to the same boy at his home. Marlin
soon became famous, and he was called, ‘Marlin Blavatsky.’
