一年中最”闹鬼“的这天夜里，各种妖魔鬼怪、 海盗、 外星来客和巫婆们纷纷出动。在基督纪元以前，凯尔特人在夏未举行仪式感激上苍和太阳的恩惠。

当时的占卜者点燃并施巫术以驱赶据说在四周游荡的妖魔怪。后来，罗马人用果仁和苹果来庆祝的丰收节与凯尔特人的10月31日溶合了。

在中世纪，人们穿上动物造型的服饰、 戴上可怕的面具是想在万圣节前夜驱赶黑夜中的鬼怪。尽管後来基督教代替了凯尔特和罗马的宗教活动，早期的习俗还是保留下来了。现在，孩子们带着开玩笑的心理穿戴上各种服饰和面具参加万圣节舞会，这些舞会四周的墙上往往悬挂着用纸糊的巫婆、 黑猫、 鬼怪和尸骨，窗前和门口则吊着龇牙裂嘴或是面目可憎的南瓜灯笼。孩子们还常常试图咬住悬挂着的苹果。

美国和加拿大的孩子们在这天穿戴上古怪的服饰去按邻居家的门铃，并按传统发出”是款待我还是要我耍花招“的威胁。邻居们不管是否被吓着，总是准备了一些糖果、 苹果等点心，孩子们则一一收入自己的袋内。

万圣节其实不是基督教的节日。2500年前，爱尔兰的凯尔特人(Celts)以10月31日为一年的最後一日，11月1日是新一年的开始，也象徵冬天的来临。

凯尔特人相信死亡之神Samhain在10月31日的晚上会和鬼魂一起重返人间，寻找替身。因此他们燃点火炬，焚烧动物以作为死亡之神的献礼。还会用动物的头或皮毛做成的服饰打扮自己，发出古怪的声音，使死亡之神认不出自己，避过灾难。这就是今天万圣节化妆舞会的由来。过了当晚，鬼魂回到阴间，一切回复平静。

基督教兴起，教徒沿袭万圣节传统，万圣节的意义慢慢改为纪念为献身於神而死亡的人(holies)。

附带一提，11月2日是墨西哥的鬼节(Los Dias de los Muertos, Day of the Dead)。当天家家户户都烘烤动物造型的面包和煮鸡肉等食物，并在供桌上面放置玩具，以期待早逝的孩童们回到家中玩耍。也可以陈列鲜花、 水果、 照片和彩绘的骷髅头，接待仙逝长辈。

墨西哥人认为，鬼魂和人一样需要及时行乐，所以鬼节宛若一场嘉年华会，人们带着面具到处游走，吃骷髅形状的糖，面包上还装饰有鬼的形像。黄昏时刻，全家人一起到墓园清理墓地，妇女们或跪或坐整夜祈祷，男人们交谈或唱歌，在子夜中烛光忽闪忽灭充满了整个墓园，游唱歌者为已逝亡者的灵魂高歌吟唱。

我的童年，是一首带着欢乐调子的歌曲，记录着我童年大大小小的趣事。

记得有一次，妈妈在沙发上睡觉，3岁的我自己坐在地上玩积木，口水垂下三尺，我也顾不上抹一把，傻呵呵地笑着。突然，我看到一个好似兔耳朵的两个铁皮儿片儿，插在一个黑色的小圆球上。我拿着这黑东西，光着小脚丫“吧嗒、吧嗒”地往沙发那边跑。

然后，我“骑”在妈妈身上，拿起铁片就往妈妈鼻孔里插，妈妈被我弄醒了，瞧见我这副傻样儿，就明白了。妈妈笑着拍了我一下，我乐呵呵地跑了。妈妈追上我，一把抱起我说：“小鬼，别总是想办法对付我了!”我跳出妈妈的怀抱，跑了。

这就是我的童年趣事，现在回忆起来，就觉得可笑。

当我正在单词的苦海中遨游时，一个声音在我耳边炸响：“快背！”原来是我那亲爱的老妈又来监督我了。“我去问一下爸爸有什么事需要我帮忙，嘻嘻。”我笑嘻嘻地跟妈妈说，然后一溜烟地跑到了客厅。我问爸爸：“老爸，有什么需要我帮忙的吗？”爸爸回答：“正好，我胃有点不舒服，帮我去旁边药店买一盒健胃药。”我一把拿过钱，跑了出去。但没跑几步，我就慢了下来，为了拖延时间，我慢悠悠地走着。

到了药店门口，我看见了卖药柜台前好热闹，一个金发碧眼，大毛胡子，高高鼻子的老外被一群人围着。他“叽里呱啦”地直叫，满头大汗的老中医无奈地摇摇头。

“MayIhelpyou？”说完我有些后悔，因为我也只会一点点英语罢了。老外听到有人会说英语，突然一口气说了一大堆，我却听不懂他说的是什么。他急中生智地捂住头一副头很热的样子，还咳嗽了几声。我一下子明白了，原来是感冒药和退烧贴呀！我立刻告诉中医，当这几副药摆在柜台上，老外眼睛发亮，忙说：“Thankyou！”

老外又说了一大堆英语，我都听不懂，只能说：“Sorry，Idon’tknow？”他拿了一只笔朝身上扎，我反应过来了，是“针灸针”呀！当中医拿来这个东西时，老外竖起了大拇指，夸奖了我，医生也向我道谢。

我乐颠颠跑回家决定要认真学习英语时，才发现自己忘了给爸爸买健胃药！

The Mid-Autumn Day

August 15th in Chinese Lunar Calendar is the Mid-Autumn Day. It is one of the most important traditional festivals in China.

On that day people usually go back home to have family reunion . Each family will have the members get together to have a big dinner. The most popular food is moon cakes. They are round and look like the moon.

The moon is the brightest this night. People eat the delicious food while they are enjoying a beautiful full moon in their yard. At this time, some old people would like to tell many past events and tell the children a story about the rabbit on the moon . The children really believe that there is a rabbit on the moon. They hope to go to the moon and have a look one day.

What a great festival!

中秋节

农历八月十五日是中秋节，在中国它是最重要的传统节日之一。

在那一天，人们通常回家与家人团聚，一家人聚在一起饱餐一顿。最流行的食品是月饼，它们圆圆的就像月亮。

中秋节晚上的月亮特别地圆。人们都在自家的院子里一边赏月一边吃着可口的月饼。这个时候 ，一些老人会讲述许多古老的故事，如月亮上的玉兔，孩子们信以为真，他们真想有一天登上月球看个究竟。

中秋是个美好的节日啊!

Holiday nearly comes to the ead now. I am very happy because I have already

finished my homework. I also helped my mother with some housework this summer

俗话说：“发现是创新的萌芽，创新是一个民族的灵魂。”别看我是一个小学生，我却善于创新。

英语书上有一个词“四月”，我总是把这5个字母搞错。为此我背了一遍又一遍，可是我的脑袋好像这么也记不住这个单词。每当默写单词或是做到这个单词的题目，我从没对过。一天，晚上我开始为背这个单词发愁，我读了几遍后，突发奇想来编个故事记住这个单词。我想四月份是春天，就脱口冒出这则故事：孩子a在春天用铲子p种下小芽r，小芽r长成小苗i，又长成树苗l,当时正值四月份。编完这则短小有趣的故事我才发现这个单词我已经会了。从那刻起我再也没为背这个单词发愁，不论是默写还是做题，只要忆及这则风趣的故事，我哪还能错!经过这件事后，故事记忆法让我不再发愁什么单词不会背。其实发现别人未发现的事，走别人未走过的路，说别人未说过的话······那么成功就离你不远!在创新的国度里没有边际，只要你肯创新，大千世界的许多东西就等你。相信自己去创新，奇迹就会降临，成功就会在你身边。
