Time flys. A week has been gone. This week I have nothing sepecial except helping an old lady across the road. I left home for school in a hurry on Monday morning, because I had flag-raising ceremony on that morning. When I was nearly arrived at school, I saw an old lady whose hair is all white and she seemed didn’t move smoothly. I worried about that she would have accidents without help. So I help her to go through the road. As a result, I was late for school, but I was very happy.

I have a great time during the winter holiday, because I enjoy myself as well as focus on my study. As its known to all, the Spring Festival is the most important in winter holiday that would occupy much time to celebrate it. Therefore, I finished my homework first, so that it won’t bother my enjoyment during the festival. I finished my home work in one week. And I went shopping with my parents. We bought a lot of things, especially snacks and fruits. Then, it was the Spring Festival. We had a big dinner on the New Year’s Eve. The Hero in My Heart

As we know, most people have heroes in their hearts. For me， Liu Xiang is

the hero in my heart. He is a famous Chinese sportsman.

Liu Xiang is good at running. In 2004， he won his first Olympic gold medal

in the men，s 110m hurdles event in Athens. Then, he set a world record in the

same event in Lausanne.Besides training and taking part in competitions, Liu

Xiang also likes singing and he sings well.

With his hard work, he is winning competitions one after another. This

encourages me to study harder from now on.

Spring Festival is the most important festival in China .It’s to celebrate

the lunar calendar ‘s new year .In the evening before the Spring Festival

,families get together and have a big meal .In many places people like to set

off firecrackers .Dumplings are the most traditional food .Children like the

festival very much ,because they can have delicious food and wear new clothes

.They can also get some money from their parents. This money is given to

children for good luck . People put New Year scrolls on the wall for good

fortune . The Spring Festival lasts about 15 days long .People visit relatives

and friends with the words “Have all your wishes ”. People enjoy the Spring

Festival ,during this time they can have a good rest .

Sports do us good in many respects. It goes without saying that taking

exercises can build up our physical strength. In collective sports like

basketball, volleyball, or football, we will learn the importance of

cooperation. While taking part in sports game, we will try our best to win and

arouse ourselves the competitive spirit. Sports can also help us relax after a

period of exhausting work. However, as the saying goes, there are two sides to

everything, and sports is without exception. We may hurt other players or

ourselves if we are not careful enough when participating in sports activities.

I’m a student of a university. I’m short and thin with thick glasses. I usually go to the library on weekday afternoons. I always read in the library from morning till night on Saturdays and Sundays.

There are fifteen reading rooms in the library. I like reading in the No.15 Reading Room. It is on the fifth floor. The reading room is clean and tidy. It is small but quiet. The librarian is an old woman. She is very kind to me.

One Sunday morning I saw a girl standing there when I came into the No.15 Reading Room.

She gave me a book. I was very surprised. The book which I wanted to read was in my hand! “The old librarian and I live in the same building,” said the girl. “And your teacher, Professor Li, lives next to me. My best festival is Spring Festival. It is in Janurary or February. It is the most important festival for the Chinese people. On that day everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings to their parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up in red paper.

People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, for breakfast, the shape of the dumpling is like gold ingot from ancient China. So people eat them and wish for money and treasure.Burning fireworks was once the most typical custom on the Spring Festival. I like spring festival very much. Its my favourite holiday.
