Recently, we have little time to keep close contact with nature. We spend

too much time on study or working. We almost forget that how green the grass is,

how beautiful the flowers are, and how sweetly the birds are singing outside our

windows. A saying goes, "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". It means

that we need to relax ourselves and go out to breathe more fresh air. We can

also climb a hill in the suburbs.Its good for our health.

Lets go outing.

Nowadays, more and more people prefer to travel quite often. Bytraveling,

we not only can relax ourselves but also broaden our knowledge circles. From my

aspect, I think we can make many friends and travel with them.

Firstly, we can enjoy the beautiful scenery and relax ourselves. For modern

life, we are busy with our work with high pressure. However, when we travel, we

will be attracted by great landscape and forget pressure from both work and

life.

Secondly, we can make friends by traveling. For most travelers, they tend

to find many companions to travel with. If you check the internet, you will find

that some people will call others to join them for travel. Through this kind of

travel, we can meet many different people and make friends with them to broaden

our social circle.

Thirdly, we can learn much knowledge form travel. Before you go to

somewhere to travel, generally, you need to make plans for your travel. You can

find lots of things you don’t know when you make a plan, such as, the origin of

a certain area, the customs of different areas, local food and so on.

In conclusion, we can not only relax ourselves and make new friends but at

the same time we can learn much from travel.

Learning English is a hard but meaningful thing. I had access to English

when I was seven years old. I was taught to study words first. It was difficult

and I learned them every day. Then, I started to learn short conversations.

After practicing, I can talk with my friends. Suddenly, I was pride of my

English because I can use them to talk .No pains, no gains. My hardworking pays

back. What’s more, I can write compositions by myself now. I love English and I

will insist on learning English.

Before I entered the middle school, I felt so worried about the life in

middle school, because my cousin told me that I would have to compete with so

many excellent students. Now I get used to the life, I learn many subjects from

Monday to Friday. Though I always meet the difficulties in learning the new

knowledge, I get help from my teachers and classmates. I am not afraid of the

middle school life again, I am so excited to learn new things every day. In the

future days, I will meet many challenges, I believe I can get over them. Life in

middle school has happiness and sorrow, they fulfill my life.

There are four seasons in the year. They’re spring, summer, autumn and

winter.

Spring is warm and sunny. In spring days, everything in our nature is

green, so we can go out to release ourselves and breathe the fresh air. I think

its a good way to enjoy our beautiful nature.

Summer is hot and rainy, but summer is the best season for entertainment,

because we can go swimming in the sea and enjoy the beautiful sunshine on the

beach. It must be very interesting.

Autumn is very cool and comfortable, and it is also the best season for

harvest. In autumn days, the farmers are busy in their fields. If we had a

chance, we could go to the countryside and pick up some fresh fruits and

vegetables.

Winter is very cold and freezing. In winter, our world is covered with

white snow, so we can either make snowmen or fight with snow. And we can also

enjoy the beautiful ice lanterns in Harbin. But I prefer to go to Sanya during

that time. As its on Hainan Island, the weather is always so temperate. Even in

December, I can still enjoy the green palm trees, the beautiful sea, the sunny

beach and the blue sky. Maybe I can find endless pleasure there.

My Mother is a kind of gentle woman. She is always very gentle. She takes

good care of her children and keeps them all at school. I have one brother and

two sistets. So she gets four children in all. She gives us every comfort. We

all love her and she loves us also.

My mother has too much to do in bringing us up. As our family is too poor

to keep a servant, my mother has always to do very much work. She gets up very

early and sleeps very late every day. She works hard, yet without

complaining.

She is also a thrifty, and industrious woman. She saves every cent that she

can and keeps everything in order. As she has been busy eversince she was young,

she looks older than she really is. Her face is wrinkled, her hair becomes

silver white, but she works as hard as ever.

Often she says to us, "work while you work, play while you play. If you do

not work, you will become lazy and of no use to society." What piece of good

advice this is! We must worth it well and always keep it in our mind.

Sunflower is a kind of beautiful flower. It has golden color and a round face. It looks like the sun， that is why people call it sunflower. Besides， it looks like a warm smile， too. When you look at it， it seems smile to you. It can bring warm to people. So， I like sunflower very much. During the day， its face turns to the sun all the time. When autumn comes， it is ripe. Therefore， we can eat its seeds. These are lots of books in our daily life. Some are about history, some are

novels, and some are even about the dream in the future. I think its useful to

read stories, because it can be used sometimes. Once, there was a very difficult

question in an important history exam history, which wasnt mentioned in our

history books, even our teacher has never told us about it. But I remembered

clearly that I had read it in a history story, so I answered the question

without difficulty and became the only student in our class who answered the

question correctly. In my view, its useful to read stories.

Many years ago, some scholars were strongly against the certification of

English test that was a must for a student to get the degree. So some colleges

canceled the rules. But recently, The Chinese first class university announced

that swimming skill is necessary for degree. It has been the hot issue, then

many people give their opinions.

On the one hand, some people are favorable of this regulation, because

swimming skill is really important. Most of the accidents happened in the river.

The swimming skill can protect them from dying. What’s more, foreign schools

take the swimming class as the regular lesson. So almost every foreign kid can

swim, which is the basic skill.

On the other hand, some people argue that even the student can’t swim, they

can’t be denied by lacking the swimming skill. They need the degree to find a

job. They are equipped with many skills and are capable of a lot of things.

Their ability has nothing to do with swimming skill.

I think that school should open the class for students to learn swimming

skill. If they fail, they still can make up by learning other lesson. The degree

can be got by many ways.

I will be a middle school student soon. when I look back on my pass days, I

find myself don’t make a difference, I play most of the time and don’t focus on

my study. Now I make up my mind. In the future days, I must study with all my

heart and learn as more as possible. So that I can store something for the

future.

The main function of public libraries is to provide books for people to

read.In a library,there are books on different subjects,such as Chinese

history,fine art,science,English literature,and so on.There are also works fo

fiction.

The public libraries are crowded with people on weekdays as well as Sundays

because many people,especially students who want to consult reference books for

their school work,know that they could at least learn something there.

Besides reading in the library,we can also borrow books with library

cards.But books on loan had to be returned within a couple of weeks.As far as I

know the number of people who borrow books from public libraries is increasing

year after year.

I go to the City Hall library twice a month to read.

Myhometownlies on the Plain of North China. The famous Grand Canal of

China is to the east of our village. This is the place where my forefathers have

lived for generations. When I was a boy I often played with other children near

the bank of the canal. I watched the passing boats, and I wished to travel all

over the world.

There are about 800 people in our village. A pond, teeming with fish, lies

in front of the village. I used to swim there in summer and skate in winter. It

was in this pond that I spent the happiest days of my childhood.

To the north of our village are great fields. When spring comes, the crops

begin to grow, turning the fields green. When crops turn yellow in autumn, the

peasants start to harvest them.

The majority of the villagers have become much better off. About a quarter

of the households have bought television sets and tape recorders. A reading-room

and a library have been built. Every evening many young people go to the evening

school to learn science and read newspapers.

Two roads cross in front of our village. On summer evenings, people sit

under the trees enjoying the cool breeze. The houses in our village are well

laid out.

By the end of last year, 35 students in our village had graduated from

senior middle school, and 12 students were enrolled at colleges.

Those who live in cities around the world are likely going to have similar

experiences about living and the associated challenges regardless of their

location on the globe. Most of these challenges revolve around stress which

studies have shown is a part of living. Regardless of what you do and your

profession and place stress is not avoidable but could be minimized. Those who

see stress as an enemy will probably live an irritable life which is quite

How then do we cope with stress? I am going to give you tips that have

When I see the cartoon, I like to watch the cat machine very much, he has a

Timemachine, he always helps his friend to fine something with time machine.

The cartoon makes me think of what would I do if I have a time machine. If I

have a time machine, the first thing I want to do is go back to the time when I

play with my friend, he now moves to another place, I never say goodbye to him,

I want to make it up and say goodbye to him. The second thing is I want to go

back to the time when I shout at my mother, I regret about this all the time, I

wish I had a chance to say sorry at that time. Now I have to face the truth that

I will never have time machine, I should cherish the time and thing I own now,

be nice to my mother.

I always care so much about the food I eat, because my stomach is a little

week, so I can’t eat the junk food all the time. The healthy food makes me keep

fit so I eat it. Vegetable is very important, we should eat it every meal. The

fruit contains a lot of vitamins, it is in need. The fish is best for me.

When we are little, we are eager to grow up, so that we can break free of

parental discipline even leave them far. Since we were a little child, we have

to be governed by teachers in school and endure parent’s ramble at home. These

are our growing pains. Besides, study, friendship, sometimes campus romance may

trouble us. However, as we grow up, we gradually find that things mentioned

above are not pains at all. There are much more serious things brother us. For

example, we may be less sensitive to the simple happiness and loss them

gradually. It’s hard for us to laugh from our heart. Moreover, we are in the age

that we are eager to grow up but afraid to grow up either. The ambivalence

afflicts us a lot. However, no matter what happens in our growth, they are parts

of our lives. We must accept them actively and do not let the pains prevent us

from happiness.

In 2011, the greatest CEO of Apple company, Steve Jobs passed away. People

from all around the world felt pity for the loss of this great talent. They laid

down notes and wrote some comments on the blog to show their respect. Looked at

Steves lifetime, he did not finished college and started his career in the age.

Though he quit school, he would listen to another lesson that caught his

interest. He overcame the difficulty of being poor by earning money through

collecting bottles. His insistence and creativity brought him great success in

career, but later he got fired. He felt frustrated then he realized he could

start his another career. He bought an animation studio and now it is very

successful. The Pixar movie studio is popular around the world. Steves story

inspires the young people to fight for their dreams.

Everyone has a lot ofDreams. some people want to be rich, dreaming of

becoming millionaires overnight. others want to be famous , dreaming of suddenly

jumping to great fame. i have a lot of dreams, too. when i was a young girl , i

dreamed of becoming a scientist like hua luogen in future . however , i knew

very well that i could not succeed without painstaking efforts . so i studied

hard in the middle school and college in order to at train my goal .

After graduating from college , I found a job as a teacher . although i was

very busy with teaching , i never gave up my goal . i read a lot of books to get

more knowledge . i made experiments to pr actise and apply what i had lea rnt f

rom the books . sometimes , i was so deeply indulged in my resea rch that i

forgot my meals and time. now i have made great progress. several of my research

papers have been published . the methods proposed in my papers have been proven

to be valuable for the solution of some problems . i am very happy. the ladder

of becoming a scientist is still far ahead , but i have climbed the first rung

anyway .

Teacher, perhaps the two words you have listened to many times, but I still want to say to you: "teacher, thank you!" On the occasion of arrival of teachers day, I will always think of you taught my scenes at ordinary times. Almost everyone knows that water covers three-fourths of the earths

surface. Most of it， however， is in the oceans and is too salty to drink. Also，

some of it is frozen and cannot be used. In fact， less than one percent is left

for the use of people， animals and plant life. All through history men have

tried to build their homes near the sources of fresh water. Now fresh water is

becoming scarce， but more and more is needed because of the increasing number of

people in the world. Some industries also use large amounts of fresh water in

the production of things such as steel， petroleum， paper and rubber and so on.

Scientists estimate that the need for fresh water will have doubled by the year

2003. If they are correct， we must find new ways of saving it or producing it.

Some nations have worked on the problem and are already sharing their

information with others. They are trying to keep their rivers from becoming

polluted. Deep wells are also being dug， and rain water is being collected in

huge artificial lakes. In one way or another， they hope to provide enough water

to satisfy the needs of their people.
