Mid-autumn day is a special festival in China, which is one of the

traditional Chinese festivals. Itfalls on the 15th day of august lunar month

every year. Our Chinese will celebrate it on that day. I think there are not too

many people can reject he temptation of it. I like this festival very much. I

have two reasons.

First of all, mid-autumn has the deep meaning of reunite. In china, people

regard mid-autumn day as very important, so no matter where they are, they will

come back to their family if there is a chance. They don’t like celebrate this

festival outside, which will make them feel lonely. Thus, they will go home by

all means. Luckily, the government also pays great attention to this traditional

festival. There are laws to make sure people have holidays in that special day.

In the other word, mid-autumn festival gives a chance for family get

together.

Secondly, every family will prepare a big meal in that day. All the food is

delicious. It is good to have a big meal. I think nobody will not interest in

delicious food. The mooncake is a necessary decoration for mid-autumn day. It

tastes good, too. It is the traditional for a long time. How pleased to enjoy

the glorious full moon with mooncake!

This is why I love mid-autumn festival so much. It is funny and happy

time.

It was cooler than yesterday. One of my father’s friends invited me to eat red bayberries. You must know it is unusual. Because we will climb the hill to eat red bayberries. There is no chance to eat red bayberries in the hill for the people who don’t live in Beijing.

On the hill, you can breathe the fresh air, you can listen birds singing and you can eat red bayberries. It was enjoyable. It is said there are wild pigs in the hill. What a beautiful natural.

November 11 is Bachelor’s Day, it is a joke that shopping can make up the

loneliness on that day, the manufacturers sense the great business, so they give

great discount on that day, people are attracting by the discount, they buy a

lot of things on that special day. But we known that people lose their wisdom

when they buy things, most things are useless.

Today, shopping online brings great discount, the price of the product will

be cheaper online, so people like to shopping online. When the holiday comes,

the products even get cheaper, customers always wait for the chance to pay the

lower price. It is said that as so many buy things on Bachelor’s Day, the

express delivery congested, customers got their stuff very late. It is more

ridiculous that a couple divorced because the wife bought too many things

online.

Now December 12 is coming soon, the discount is being presented, it is a

great lure that customers can’t control themselves. Shopping online should be

rational, we just buy what we need, the rest even is cheaper, but without value,

we must realize is a waste.

Now, we can get cheaper stuff not only online, we should control ourselves,

we buy what we are using, we can use the money to do meaning thing.

As the Internet has been widely developed, searching the Internet has been part of our life. We use the Internet to communicate with friends and make new friends, as the way to know somebody becomes easy, people like to make friends through computer. Often two strangers know through Internet, they talk for a while and feel it is so comfortable to chat. So they develop their love relationship on the Internet. Such phenomenon is so common today. It has been reported that many teenagers addicted in love affair in the Internet, some of them get hurt while they met with the other. As the two strangers never meet, what they told each other is always not true, one of them may be bad guy, he may in want of money, meeting them is very dangerous. My New Years Resolution

2014 will be end ,and 2015 will be come. In the new year ,we must be have much wishes, because new year means that things end and another things start. So we need to make a new years resolution in order to the second year will be better. I want to share my new years resolution with you. Firstly, I decide to try my best to learn english. because my english so poor that it affects my other subject. I love to read. When I was three years old, my parents had taught me to

read. They bought me some books with funny and colorful pictures. Soon I was

失落的“伊甸园”——两河流域文明的毁灭

由于土地盐碱化而引起古文明衰亡的最早案例

位于两河流域的美索不达米亚平原，是人类文明最早的发源地之一。在这片肥沃的土地上，古代世界最伟大的三个文明曾经在这里繁荣昌盛。苏美尔、亚述、阿卡德和巴比伦人相继在公元前4000至前2000年间，在这里创造了高度发达的城市文明，令世人叹为观止。然而，这些古文明的发祥地如今却是盐碱泛滥、流沙纵横的不毛之地。

就这个问题，美国亚述学家雅可布生对西亚出土楔形文字史料做过一次深入调查。他发现美索不达米亚的土壤盐碱化由来已久，始于公元前2400年的拉格什城邦，不久就发展到幼发拉底河，1000年后盐碱化进一步扩展到古巴比伦。20世纪50年代，美国芝加哥大学教授布雷伍德在伊拉克的耶莫组织过一次由地质、气象、动物和植物学家共同参加的大规模跨学科考古发掘，结果简直令人难以置信。布雷伍德在《伊拉克库尔德史前调查》中这样写道：

人类以及他们从事的农业和牧业，总的来说起一种破坏作用，尽管无人想有意去破坏……过去曾是丛林的整个平原和切姆查玛克河谷的山麓地区，如今连灌木丛都不存在了。栎树灌木丛在还未长到6英寸之前就被砍伐。由于树林和灌木树的消失以及草地每年春季全被吃光，只剩下草根，土壤大量流失，填入河流……

美国东北部和加拿大东南部是西半球工业最发达的地区，每年向大气中排放二氧化硫2500多万吨。其中约有380万吨由美国飘到加拿大，100多万吨由加拿大飘到美国。七十年代开始，这些地区出现了大面积酸雨区，酸雨比藩茄汁还要酸，多个湖泊池塘漂浮死鱼，湖滨树木枯萎。

库巴唐”死亡谷”事件

巴西圣保罗以南60公里的库巴唐市，二十世纪八十年代以“死亡之谷“知名于世。该市位于山谷之中，六十年代引进炼油、石化、炼铁等外资企业300多家，人口剧增至15万，成为圣保罗的工业卫星城。企业主只顾赚钱，随意排放废气废水，谷地浓烟弥漫、臭水横流，有20%的人得了呼吸道过敏症，医院挤满了接受吸氧治疗的儿童和老人，使2万多贫民窟居民严重受害。

卡迪兹号油轮事件

1978年3月16日，美国22万吨的超级油轮“亚莫克?卡迪兹号”，满载伊朗原油向荷兰鹿特丹驶去，航行至法国布列塔尼海岸触礁沉没，漏出原油22.4万吨，污染了350公里长的海岸带。仅牡蛎就死掉9000多吨，海鸟死亡2万多吨。海事本身损失1亿多美元，污染的损失及治理费用却达5亿多美元，而给被污染区域的海洋生态环境造成的损失更是难以估量。

I live with my father and mother in a very big house in dongguan. my parents are both very busy. they leave for work very early in the morning and don’t return home until late in the evening.

People come to the field and bring their kites. What a lively scene. The

children are very active and excited. They run to the ground for many times, so

as to make their kites flying higher and higher. It has become a tradition. Some

people even will prepare for a long time. They want to prove that they are the

strong ones. It gives people a good chance to communicate with each other. I

like the atmosphere and enjoy the time with my friends.

In the young generation, their lifestyle is different from the old

peoples. They like to stay up and join many night activities, then they wake up

very late. The new expression of brunch fits them so much, which means the

people to have a meal combining with breakfast and lunch. But their health is

under threat. Some young peoples stomach hurts and cant digest food well. In

order to keep healthy, we need to do some exercise and eat food regularly.

day, keeps the doctor away, so we need to eat properly. The healthy lifestyle

makes us live happily.

哈哈!期末考试终于结束了，卷子也领了，寒假就在我美妙的想法中开始了。可惜，事与愿违，我希望寒假可以开开心心玩耍的想法，却被下班回家的妈妈击碎了：

上午：完成一些寒假作业，背会10个英语单词，完成一篇英语作文等;

下午：字帖一页，复习所学知识，玩耍等。

而这份计划最让我满意的就是劳逸结合。每当写的头晕脑胀时，就可以出去放松一下，正如龙井说唱的歌里所唱的：“敲开你的脑子让它出来透透气吧!来个深呼吸，呼出那烦恼和压力……”帮奶奶扫扫地，给爷爷倒杯水，听听音乐……等放松够了，再去写作业，效率会提高不少呢!

如果我能在上午完成这一天的任务，那么下午，就是我的自由时光了，想干什么，就干什么。晚上还能看电视或电影呢!
