Be Grateful to Our Parents

Since we were born， many people help us a lot. We should be grateful to their kindness. But the ones we should show our greatest appreciation are our parents. From the first day we appear in their lives， they give us all their love and care， but never expect anything in return. As long as they are there， we do not feel any difficulties， because they are always in front of our shelter， preventing us from difficulties and danger. In order to make our lives better， learn better， they do everything they can to create the best conditions for us， but ignore their own needs. Therefore， we need to cherish parents’ love and repay their upbringing. We should treat them as they treat us.

I am sorry for not having written to you for such a long time. I am afraid you must think I have forgotten you and the whole family. Actually I really miss you, but I have been busy preparing my exam these days. And now I have passed the exam and feel very relaxed as if a heavy burden has been removed. What about Dad’s health? Is he still coughing at night? I have been worrying about it. The last day I saw an advertisement on a newspaper introducing a new kind of syrup which is said to have magic effect on coughing. I have bought one bottle and sent it back home by post. Have you received it? What about the effect?

[英语作文：学生问候父母

曾经以为，沟通就是一家人围坐在一起，你一言我一语的各抒己见。可许多年过去，却发现自己越来越不会表达自己，就好像自己的腿越来越短，连最浅的小溪也无法跨过。

一天，我拥有一个单独和父亲吃饭的机会。饭桌前的父亲，被昏暗的灯光映照的格外苍老：深深下垂的脑袋，两鬓显眼的花白头发和微驼的背。我不得不承认父亲老了，那个曾经潇洒和高大的父亲已一去不回了。

父亲显得兴奋，又向我娓娓讲述他在饭桌上永远的话题“酱油妙用”：你们现在真是幸福啊！我们小时候才叫苦了。我上学时，饭很便宜，但都是计划供应。为了省钱买书，常常不买菜，学校的酱油是免费的，于是就用酱油和饭吃……

这个故事我听了不下十遍。以前听过，总是不耐烦，毕竟那个“苦”时代离我实在太遥远了。自然地，便无法接受甚至排斥那个故事听起来的真实性，认为那不过是父亲变相的向我灌输他的思想而已。并且，我认为活在记忆中的人是最没出息的。因为如果人老是回头看，那么他向前的步伐自然会放慢，直到最后驻足停留在“从前”。所以以前每听到这些老掉牙的话，心里总不禁嘲讽一番。尽管嘴上不说，但那副怪异的表情加上不屑的眼神，却早已出卖了自己的真实想法。

可那天我的脑海里满是那个步履稳健、意气风发的父亲；那个拿着糖果逗孩子的父亲；那个背着玩累了的女儿满村走的父亲；那个为他所爱的人撑起一片天的父亲。再想想如今眼前这位苍老的父亲，这位被岁月遗弃了的父亲，突然心里就很难受。似乎是我拿着刀子，在他脸上刻下了怎么也无法抹平的皱纹。

是啊，我又有什么资格去嘲笑和鄙视呢？我的一切都是父亲给的——自由、思想、生命，无一例外！

于是，那天接下来的时间，就很耐心的听父亲又讲了我的童年糗事和成长记忆。渐渐成熟的我明白了父亲的无奈和孤立。“明智”了的父亲懂得了我的骄傲和立场。

看着父亲沉醉的模样，甚至可以说是幸福的表情，安静地听，跟着父亲的脚步一起走过那条用记忆铺成的鹅卵石小路。回到那个曾经紧拥在一起享受快乐的年代，一起感受那个把父亲奉为偶像的往事，感受那没有矛盾和争吵的岁月。是回忆，就这样拉近了父女俩日渐遥远的心。

于是我们选择了包容——一种最真诚的包容，用我们共同的回忆，进行了一次超越时空的沟通。其实，沟通很简单：不一定要言语，但一定要真心；不一定要说得有力，但一定要有一颗包容的心。

理解了，所以才包容。

包容了，所以才沟通。

沟通了，所以才理解。

人们常说“父爱如山，母爱如水”。

人们常说母爱就像那涓涓细流，缓缓的流淌，却温暖了每一个儿女的心，母爱就像那冬天的暖阳，就像那润物细无声的春雨，就像那微微拂面的微风，母亲用她那温暖慈爱的目光包裹着每一个远行的游子。

人们也常说父爱就像那巍峨的大山，沉默不语，却为儿女默默撑起了一方天地，父爱就像那汤汤的大海，就像那默默负重的老黄牛，就像那厚重坚固的城墙。父亲用他那宽阔的肩膀，默默地为每一个儿女遮风挡雨。

人们更常说，女儿是妈妈的贴心小棉袄，能暖妈妈的心窝。女儿是爸爸上辈子的情人，这辈子来讨债的。

在我家，这一切“常说”，却全都打破了，不成立了。我家是慈父严母，父爱如水，母爱如山。

小时候，为我扎漂亮辫子的是老爸，手巧的同村的媳妇都羡慕不已，为我织漂亮的毛衣的是老爸，憨态可掬的熊猫，虎虎生威的小老虎，栩栩如生的金鱼……都成为了同村争相效仿的花样，为我捉虱子的是老爸，为我缝缝补补的还是老爸……

老妈呢，却只知道板起脸来训斥我这个不许做，那个不许碰，要不就唠叨这个要怎样，那个要怎样，为了一点点小事就对我大吼大叫。虽然老妈每次从街上回来，都会给我带回来大把大把的好吃的，但是比起老爸的好，这些都被我自动忽略了，虽然老妈也为我纳了又暖又舒服的千层鞋，但是比起老爸的好，这些也被我自动忽略了。

小时候的自己，很粘老爸，却和老妈怎样都亲近不起来。

长大点，教我识字的是老爸，“咿咿呀呀”的跟老爸念“人之初，性本善”小脑袋跟着老爸的脚步晃动，上学第一天，送我去上学的是老爸，嘱托我“要好好学习，天天向上”的也是老爸;村里放电影，带我去看的也是老爸，那时，我总是骄傲的骑在老爸的脖子上，骄傲的就像一个女王，神气的不得了;在学校被同学欺负了，哭着回家找的也是老爸，这时，老爸总会笑眯眯的看着我，然后再耐心的向我解释“同学之间要互相友爱，要团结，不能动不动就去向老师告状”。老爸说的那些道理我总是很容易就听进去，那时候的我认为老爸说的都是正确的，都是好的。每当老爸蹲下来，摸着我的头和我说道理时，那些话总像有魔力一样，小小的我像崇拜神一样的喜欢崇拜着老爸……

老妈呢，她什么都不懂，她关心的只是今天收入了多少，支出了多少，每天都见她在晕黄的灯光下拿支笔和本子在那里算来算去，然后将算盘敲得噼里啪啦响，略有盈余了就满脸笑容，入不敷出了就愁容满面;我做错了事，从来不会和颜悦色，心平气和的和我说(不过那时的我也老是和她顶嘴，估计她说什么我也听不进去)，她永远信奉“严师出高徒”。上五年级时，因为不诚实被老妈狠狠的打了一顿，老妈一边打一边说“叫你说谎话，叫你不诚实，叫你死不认错，你认不认错，看你下次还敢不敢了”，倔强的我硬是和老妈犟着不认错，打到最后，老妈一边打一边哭。等老爸回来还向老爸告了一状，老爸又狠狠地严厉地批评了我一顿。为这件事，我记恨了好久，也好长一段时间不理老妈，认为一定是老妈添油加醋，才让对我那么好的老爸那么严厉地骂了我一顿。虽然老妈也会在下雨天冒雨为不听她劝告带伞的我送伞，虽然老妈也会把我爱吃的全部往我碗里夹，虽然老妈也会为我带回我喜欢的小人书……但是，小小的我的心中都是老爸，于是自动忽略了老妈的这些好，当然也忽略了老妈的那些叹息和眼泪……

长大点后的自己，与老爸越来越亲近，却和老妈越来越疏远。

再大点，上了中学，手把手教我毛笔字的是老爸，让我懂得“知识改变命运”的是老爸，让我满怀豪情说出“为中华之崛起而读书”的是老爸，为我去开家长会的是老爸。我和老爸总是无话不说，总是有说不完的话，一回家，我就像只快乐的小鸟一样，围着老爸叽叽喳喳的说个不停，老爸也总是那么幽默风趣，总会将我逗得哈哈大笑。虽然有时我做错了事或者和老妈吵架了，老爸也会动手打人，但是我却从来不记恨老爸，却将这些全部算到了老妈头上。

老妈呢，我却越来越不喜欢老妈，不喜欢她的唠叨，不喜欢她的小心眼，不喜欢她的斤斤计较，不喜欢她的无趣。初中时的我也是最叛逆的时候，动不动就和老妈顶嘴，她说什么我都听不进去，她让我往东我偏往西，甚至最坏的时候，我甚至一个月不理她，为这个，没少挨老爸的揍，可我就是不喜欢她。那时的我，被叛逆蒙蔽了眼睛，所以对老妈为整个家辛劳的操持视而不见，对老妈的早出晚归视而不见，对老妈染霜的两鬓视而不见，对老妈的日益消瘦的身子视而不见，甚至对老妈在我面前的小心翼翼和讨好都视而不见……

上了大学，送我去学校的是老爸，叮嘱我好好照顾自己的是老爸，每次打电话回去接电话的是老爸，即使是老妈接到电话，都听到老妈在那边喊“某某，女儿电话”。本来想说的话到嘴边又咽了回去，为数不多的几次谈话也都是以两个人的沉默草草收场。看到同寝室的姐妹和自己妈妈无话不谈，就像姐妹一样，我总是羡慕的不得了。我总想：都说女儿是妈妈的贴心小棉袄，我这辈子怕都做不了老妈的贴心小棉袄了。

和老妈关系的改善源自一场我无意中听到的她和老爸的对话。老妈一边抹眼泪一边说：我怎么就是和她亲近不起来呢，我已经尽我最大的努力了。谁不想和女儿亲亲热热的，有哪个做妈的不想和自己的女儿无话不谈，有时看到你们那样说说笑笑的，我就只能在心中偷偷的羡慕，然后偷偷的叹气，可是一个家里总要一个唱白脸的，一个唱红脸的。哎，老妈最后重重的叹了一口气：这么多年，即使是颗石头也该捂热了吧，可是……那一刻，我才发现，一直以来，我都忽视了老妈，忽视了老妈对我的爱，她一直在用她的方式疼着我，爱着我，她的爱满满的，并不比老爸的爱少一分一毫。

后来的后来，我知道了，我去外面上大学的那晚，老妈一晚没睡，帮我整理了一晚的行李(我一直以为是老爸弄的)，也感叹了一晚“女儿怎么一转眼就上大学了呢，明明昨天她还在蹒跚学步”，我也知道了，每次我打电话来，她总是最快的跑到电话机旁，又小心翼翼的把电话递给老爸，因为她害怕我不愿意和她说话，我也知道了……

我才发现，老妈这些年老了好多，明明比老爸小，看起来却比老爸老了好多，头发也白了好多，身体也比以前差了好多好多。这么多年，我都忽视了老妈，对老妈关心的太少了。可是，老妈却从来没有怪过我，一如既往的用她的方式爱着我……

父爱如水，母爱如山，我们家不一样的父爱母爱，也为我和弟弟撑起了一方晴空，铺成了一条通往幸福的道路，那条路上满满的都是爱。
