魏老师的行为也够疯的。初中时候老师们一般抓得紧，早晚自习轮流坐班，有时还会上课。那时候晚自习经常会停电，通常我们都备有蜡烛继续学习，不敢怠慢。而我们的魏老师是个超级鬼故事王，如果是他的晚自习停电，同学们就再兴奋不过了，魏老师一定会主动或是有点“勉强”地带我们进入恐怖鬼世界了。搞怪的男同学们为了营造气氛，通常只点上两三支蜡烛，魏老师站中间，我们则一层层紧围在周围。魏老师就那么靠在课桌旁，抱着膀子，偏着头，在忽明忽暗、飘摇不定的烛光中，开始绘声绘色、声情并茂地讲各种鬼故事。什么吊死鬼吐着长舌头的样子，爆炒人心时呯呯乱跳的状态，讲到紧张处，他还故弄玄虚，装腔作势，时而暴叫出声，时而小声私语，害我们不时高声惊叫，心里狂跳，一个劲儿往老师身边挤，唯恐暴露在人群外围，生怕被后面的黑暗吞没，几次把课桌椅什么的挤倒。看到我们惊慌失措的样子，魏老师却乐得哈哈大笑，摆出一副若无其事的样子来。每每之后，我们心情久久不得平静，长久地处于毛噔噔的状态，如果有男同学随便使些小恶作剧，女同学们也会被吓得大叫不止。只是自习期间，突然来电了，魏老师便戛然而止，不管一个故事有没有讲完，或同学们怎么哀求，立即吩咐进入学习状态，他也会马上换出一个严肃认真的面孔来。有时候到了下自习的时间电还不来的，魏老师会差遣部分男同学送不住校的女生回家，算是一种特别安慰吧。

梁老师的每一句话我都听得很仔细。虽然在这五、六分钟里，梁老师只是大致帮我分析了试卷，但我觉得，这其实是对我莫大的支持，说明老师也是看重我的，这让我又得到了自信。

这“调皮鬼”竟然首先就叫我起来读上面的阅读提示。有的同学还插一句：“怎么可以点名？应该举手发言的。”我只好听“小老师”的话把提示读了一遍。读完之后，“小老师”说：“坐下。大家请把课文读一遍。”我们准备读的时候，干老师插话了：“为什么让我们读？”全班顿时哄堂大笑。干老师又提醒：“应该带着问题去读。”冯致锐说：“哦哦！请在课文中找出主要语句，根据课文内容概括出主要内容。”我们开始读了，读的时候我的速度明显慢了。别人读完了，我还只读一半多一点。“请概括出主要内容，陶平川。”冯致锐竟然又点了名。陶平川吞吞吐吐的说出了一点。“坐下。”“小老师”说，“还有谁有说的？好，陈津晶。”陈津晶举了手。她说出了主要内容，冯致锐马上写到黑板上去了。老师在台下说：“别老让冯致锐说，他已经说了十几分钟了。”之后，吕凯慧马上写上答案……

一趟新鲜刺激的语文课结束了，却让我领悟到了：做老师做工作的艰苦。我们只要在学习中掌握知识，长大当老师就没这么难了。

今天是四月五日，我们一家与大伯、二伯以及两位伯母约好到山上祭拜爷爷奶奶。

在门口等了一会，二伯的汽车便开来了，大伯他们也已经坐在里面。我向车里的亲戚一一打了招呼。不久，父亲便拖着一袋泥土走了出来。大家一年没见，都有很多话要说，于是父亲便首先和两位伯伯聊起天来了，我也和堂哥说笑着。聊了一阵子后，时间已经不早，大家便都开始准备出发。按照以往的惯例，由于二伯的车子装了不少东西，车子最多可容许坐六个人，所以在我上车之后车子便满座了，父亲和母亲只好另外骑车去了。 乡间的小路虽算不上崎岖，但却因为昨晚下了一场大雨而变得坑坑洼洼。所幸过去的一些小路都已经拓宽了，并铺上了水泥，所以经过一小阵颠簸之后，我们便顺利地把汽车停在了山脚，不久父亲和母亲也到了。

像往常一样，大家分配好各自需要携带的东西，便开始上山。在所有人之中，最轻松的自然是我了，虽然我被分到的是两个很大的袋子，但里面装的都是一些纸做的冥具，所以我的步伐是最轻快的，一会儿我便把大家甩在了后面。微风迎面吹来，带来了一阵泥土的芳香，走在山路上，脚下踩着树上落下的松子簌簌作响，让我感到一阵的轻松。就在我认为自己已经走在最前头的时候，却突然看到一个熟悉的背影在我前方慢慢的前进着。好奇地，我加快了步伐，跑近一看，啊，竟是父亲！父亲此刻正扛着那满满的一袋泥土不快不慢地走着，背后的衣服已经打湿了一大片。因为山路比较崎岖，父亲走得很踏实，并没有发现身后的我，而我也放慢了步伐，缓慢地跟在他的身后。路上零零散散地散落着许多大大小小的石块，父亲几次被绊到，摇摇欲坠的时候，我都紧跟在他身后伸出搀扶的双手。幸好，每一次绊到了石头，父亲都能十分迅速地找回平衡，擦一擦汗，便又继续前进。 终于，父亲第一个来到了爷爷奶奶的坟前，把肩膀上负荷往旁边一摔，便一屁股坐在地上，大口大口地喘着粗气。我亦随之跟到，当我再次看到那一袋似乎比我还要重的泥土时，我忍不住问了：“爸，你扛这袋泥土上来做什么啊？”父亲看了我一眼，说：“待会你和我一起给坟和上这些土。”我虽有些不解，但还是点了点头。

Dear Sir,

I am writing to apply for a British Council scholarship to study in Britain. I did my five years basic training in medicine at Shanghai University. After this I successfully completed a one-year postgraduate course in Ophthalmology at the Peoples General Hospital, where I am at present serving a two-year probation in the Eye Clinic.

As a result of the publication in 2003 of my article in New Scientist entitled "Soft and Rigid Contact Lenses ", which was based on a survey of 37 patients over 6 months, I made contact with Dr. Li Ming of the Capital Hospital and Dr. Ma Li of the University College Hospital. I have received their help and advice with my current research project, which is a two-year survey of the acceptance of various types of contact lenses in 200 patients.

Despite their help, I feel that I cannot make real progress in this field unless I can actually have day-to-day contact with these specialists. I would therefore like to continue my research at either the Capital Hospital or the UCH as soon as my probationary period here is completed, and I would like to study in Britain for two years.

I enclose a detailed curriculum vitae and an offprint of my article, together with two letters of recommendation from Dr. Li Ming and Dr. Ma Li.
