Protecting the Environment

In the last several decades, our earth has been extremely polluted, such as air pollution, water pollution, noise pollution and so on. In recent years, the extreme weather becomes more and more frequent. Winter gets colder and summer becomes hotter and it rains more frequently. All of these warn us that protecting the environment is a serious and emergent event. As our general people, we should build proper lifestyle. We should pay attention to water and light saving. 还有一件事是：最近发生了这样一件事，在上海有一位被众人称之为“爱国天使”的女孩，她的名字叫金晶。金晶是一个残疾人。2008年的北京奥运会当火炬传到巴黎时，金晶一早就起来到火炬交接点做准备，当火炬就要传到金晶那时，一位男子冲开重重阻拦，想要抢走金晶手上的火炬。金晶知道后，立刻接过火炬猛的跑起来，当场的一位法国男子记道：男子不断地打那位女孩，用手抓那位女孩。虽然金晶下巴被磨破了，但金晶为了保护祖国的利益，加快速度，不怕疼痛。最终终于将祖国的利益安全地交入下一个交接人的手中。金晶高兴地笑了，而那位可恶的男子被警查抓了起来。

金晶不顾一切保全了火炬，这是一个中国人的光荣与胜利，我们应该为金晶喝彩!

通过这两个故事，我想告诉大家一个道理：爱国可以从身边的小事做起，我们可以通过身边的小事，来为国争光!

对于我们每位小学生来说：爱国可以从身边点点滴滴的小事做起，爱自己的国家先要爱自己的父母;爱家庭;爱校园;爱老师;爱教室;爱同学;爱周围的环境!

请让爱国从身边的小事做起吧!

记得在我小时候，那是我第一次说谎。我的嘴非常馋。一次妈妈带我去逛一家小的超市，来到超市里面。我看见一种食品，觉得很好吃，心里七上八下，可是又不敢跟妈妈说。这时，我看了一下周围，发现没有人在这边，于是我就放了一个胆，偷偷把东西打开了，尝一下，果然很好吃。过了一会服务员就到这边来了，发现食品袋口子撕开了，便问是不是我撕的。我脸红着说“不……不是我撕的。”妈妈看见了就说：“这袋我买下了。”回到家里，妈妈说：“袋子是不是你撕的，不管做什么事都要讲诚信。”

妈妈又教育我：“诚信这一点你一定要做到，因为诚信是中华民族的传统美德，也是我们每个人立身做人的基本道德准则。诚信，就是我们的一份责任，体现着对自己、对他人，对集体的襟怀坦白，体现着对党、对人民、对中国的无限忠诚。因而，我们必须从自己做起，从小事做起，诚信立学，诚信立行，诚信立身，恪守诚信。只要我们做到了诚信，一定会让我们在自己心灵的广袤土地上，辛勤地播撒培育诚信的种子，共同筑造浩瀚的诚信森林。所以我们一定要做到诚信到家这一点。”

我听了妈妈的教诲之言以后，我已经重新改过，再也不说谎话了，也不随便弄别人的东西。我深刻认识到：诚信必须从我做起，诚信必须从小事做起。
