湖北的春节，大都从置办年货开始。在众多年货之中，最重要的就是香肠了。首先把新鲜的肉剁成馅，放入花椒面和最重要的陈皮，香肠的馅就做好了。紧接着，大人就把馅料灌入肠衣，每当这时，我们小孩子就拿着一根针，在香肠上面搜寻着，看见一个气泡就扎下去，随着“嘭”的轻响，香肠被灌得更紧实。最后，大人把香肠用棉绳分成一节一节的，用竹竿晾在阳台上。这时，我们就趴在阳台上，祈祷着香肠能早日晾干。

第二件大事是大扫除，一大早，全家人忙里忙外，大人与小孩各有各的工作，姥爷负责擦窗，姥姥负责厨房，而我就负责扫地，过不了多久，屋里屋外就被擦的干干净净，一尘不染。

大年三十是吃团圆饭的时候，我们家的团年饭非常热闹。七大姑八大姨都从远方赶来，满满一屋子的人，好不热闹，大人们有些在打麻将，有些人在厨房帮忙，有些人在一边看电视，一边聊天。而我们小孩子就在一起打扑克牌或者玩游戏。该吃饭了，每个人手捧着一个碗，在餐桌前转来转去——在餐桌上有着孩子们期盼已久的香肠，整条鱼，“大团圆”以及其它许多好吃的。吃鱼时有个规矩，鱼头和鱼尾不能吃，因为要有“余“。至于”大团圆“就是把肉糕，肉丸子，藕丸子和粉丝放在一起的一盘菜。餐桌上的菜琳琅满目，每次都看的我头晕眼花。

除夕要放鞭炮，商店里的鞭炮各式各样，男生大都喜欢玩擦炮——在墙上一划，紧接着往水沟或者池塘里丢去，只听“砰“的一声，水沟里就水花四溅，我在围观时总是堵住耳朵，退的远远的，生怕水溅到自己身上。相比于擦炮，摔炮就温柔多了——拿着一个摔炮，往地上一丢，就”啪“的炸了。等天一黑，就是大烟花的舞台，“啾”的一声，烟花窜上天空，“啪——“烟花在天空中炸开，好似孔雀开屏，绽放出五颜六色的光芒。一个接着一个，放烟花的声音永不间断，直到深夜才停下。

正月初五，从远方赶来过节的人们踏上了回家的路程。又过了几天学生们开始上学，大人们开始上班，春节的气息逐渐消散了。
