为什么河水会变成这个样子呢?首先是因为工业污染。最为严重的就是化工厂的污水，化工厂每天最多要排放200吨污水到我们的漕桥河，化工厂就是社会的毒瘤。其次就是农业污染。人们使用的化肥只有三分之一被庄稼吸收，其它大部分流入漕桥河。第三就是生活污染。人们往往把塑料等垃圾扔进河里，使河水受到严重的污染。后来河水变臭，跟魔术师一样。一会儿黑色，一会儿红色，一会儿黄色，一会儿褐色……
