Last March, my mother told my father and me that my grandfather would come

in April. We were very happy because my grandfather was an interesting old man

and he had not visited us since he went to Hong Kong.

On April 1 my father and I bought a lot of food from the supermarket and

bought a big bunch of flowers home. Then we did some cleaning at home. At night

when we were waiting for my grandfather, the bell rang and in came my mother.

She smiled to us and said "April fools"!

Mr Qin is our history teacher. He has a wonderful name Qin Han. He is over fifty now, and he is in good health. He likes history. He is not only interested in Chinese history, but also the history of the world. He likes reading, and goes to the book shop every Saturday. He often tells us something interesting in the history, such as the Great Wall, the World War II and so on. We are all happy to have his classes. Mr Qin wrote a thick book on history and it was published last year. We all admire him!

I went the park near my school with my family on Sunday. This park was holding a interesting garden party, where was crowded by many people. When sunday, the park was always very crowded. There was a lot of old men doing morning exercises, and many children going with their parents. During our around walking, I saw my classmate XX boating there. I said hello to her, and she asked me to enjoy boating with her. So I took the boat, and speaked with XX for a while. April 1st is the holiday April Fools also known as “All Fools Day.”Its exact origin is not known, because there are so many stories as to why it started. The most plausible tale is that New Years Day in France used to be April 1st, but the King changed it to January 1st. Not everyone accepted this change for several years and those who didn’t were scoffed as fools, thus the term April Fools.

Today people from many parts of the world are recognizing and celebrating April 1st in their own unique way. Here at International school is a fruitful student body from all over the world. seemed to be so dark and hard. My parents felt disappointed to me, and they

always told me to study during my free time. I couldnt watch TV for more than

half an hour and I couldnt search the Internet or play games. Besides, I feel

depressed and I almost lost my heart. But yesterday, my friend came to see me.

She knew I was not happy. She encouaged me that nothing is impossible. If I

could try hard from now on, I would do good in my study. Where there is a will,

there is a way. Only confidence and hardwork can pull me out from failure. If I

want to be good as before, I have to let this failure go and restart again.

I really had a busy and happy winter holiday. I did my homework and helped my parents with the housework every day.
