The cat wakes up. He is behind the mouse. He wants to catch the mouse. So,he is chasing the mouse. The mouse is afraid. He jumps onto the door. But, the door is high. The cat can‘t catch the mouse. The mouse is under the chair now. It is running.The cat still can‘t catch the mouse. The mouse runs fast. It runs into the hole. The hole is small. But, the cat is big. It can‘t go into the hole. So, the cat is angry and tired. It is crying. It‘s very sad. But the mouse is very happy!

山东，是一个美丽富饶，历史悠久，资源丰富，锦绣壮美，交通便利的省份。有泰山，泰山以他雄伟壮丽的自然风光和独特丰富文化蕴含，被人们称赞为“中华之魂”，又有“五岳独尊”之誉；“孔孟之乡”等等。有富饶的胜利油田，美丽的天鹅湖，被誉为“东隅屏藩”、“海上桃源”的刘公岛……美丽而富有魅力的山东，就算用无数词藻也描绘不出山东的美丽。十八大，用美丽来描绘我们的祖国，“美丽中国”——诗情画意般的描绘祖国大好河山，有苍茫的草原，雄伟的山峦，碧绿的草地，清澈的河水……然而，在经济快速发展，城市高楼耸立，人们追逐物质生活的时候，大自然给我们敲响了警钟，我们不停的向大自然索取，生态问题日益凸显。

随着人们生活的提高，大量的工厂、每家每户的轿车、都时时刻刻污染着我们美丽的山东。现在，一出家门口，就会呼吸到汽车的尾气。曾经的一条条小溪流，被工业废水所污染，那些原来在水中的“小精灵”无处躲藏。一条条清澈的河水被污染，曾经的新鲜空气被污染，曾经的湛蓝天空被蒙上了一层薄薄得轻纱，一棵棵树木被砍伐，一只只可爱的小动物被杀害。人类为了自己那些小小的利益，不顾一切。人类赖以生存的大自然被破坏。

保护环境，人人有责！保护环境可以从我们身边做起。保护环境只是一些我们生活中简简单单的小事，比如：不随手乱丢垃圾；看到有果皮纸屑，我们可以弯弯腰捡起来；随手关灯关电源，节约用电；少用一次性筷子；节约纸张，节约用水；出门时，提醒家长少开车，低碳出行，等等……

生活在地球上的人类，应该觉醒了。这是属于我们自己的地球，地球仅有一个，他是独一无二的，我们应该好好保护她。

我呼吁，从小事做起，从今天做起，从现在做起保护环境，建设生态山东，描绘美丽齐鲁。

The area of desert in the world is growing every year. Many parts of the world which once had large populations and produced plenty of crops, have become deserts. Dunhuang in China, deep in the heart of the Gebi Desert, was once a great city.

Cattle are one cause of the problem. In good years, famers increase the numbers of their cattle. Then one year, the rains fail to come. The farmers do not want to kill any of their cattle, so the cattle eat ail the grass and anything that grows on poorer land. If this continues for several years, the grass never grows again and the land becomes a desert. One suggested answer is for farmers to limit the numbers of their cattle.

Another problem is that good soil is gradually lost. When trees are cut down, there is nothing to hold the soil in place on the hillside. So when if rains, the soil is washed down the hills and into the rivers. Strong winds can also blow away the valuable soil that lies on the top of the fields.
