圣诞节前几天，我班郭忻灵、雷铃同学向老师建议我班在圣诞节那天举行一场圣诞联欢会。

圣诞节下午，我班联欢会如期举行。

下午，第一节课上完后，我走进教室时，只见黑板上、讲台上贴着一条条彩纸，还有两三个气球挂在彩纸上。我脱口而出：“哇，好美呀!我们的教室太美了!”我还看见黑板上画着两幅不完整的男女画像。我想，这一定是画鼻子的。

第三节课到了，联欢会就要开始。我们班的同学们异常兴奋，笑声说话声充满了教室，热闹非常。班主任朱老师一进来，教室里立刻安静下来。

主持人张玉婷、杜达凯快步走到讲台上。杜达凯说：“今天是圣诞节，我们来快乐地玩一玩吧。”张玉婷说：“我们来玩第一个游戏——画鼻子。王浩澜，你来试一试。”王浩澜走到黑板前，把厚布条蒙住眼睛并系好。王浩澜画了一个三角形。这时，教室里哄堂大笑起来。王浩澜转身摘下布条一看，不好意思笑了起来。哈!鼻子画到头发上去了。下一个轮到吕川。吕川戴上厚布条，画了一个圆圈。这时，教室里笑得比上次还厉害。他将鼻子画到耳朵里去了。吕川摘下布条，回到座位一看，自己也笑了起来。接着是王大义。王大义蒙着眼睛画了一个三角形。这时，教室里只有一点点笑声。啊，王大义画鼻子还可以，就是太高了点。如果真有这样的人，别人也会笑死的。

第二个节目是才艺表演。第一个上的是缪斯弹电子琴。嘀嘀哒哒……啦啦嘀嘀……琴声很是动听，曲子优美。他弹得这么好，一定是在家里用了功，苦练出来的。第三个节目是许艺川唱歌……第四个节目是吹气球。大家纷纷高高举起手来，争先恐后都想参加，但只有王翊、吕川、缪斯三位同学被选上了。每人拿着一个气球，看谁吹得大。王翊一口气就把气球吹得差不多了。吕川吹得很费劲。缪斯还在那儿使劲吹。加油!王翊!……加油!吕川!……加油!缪斯!……最后，吕川把气球吹炸了，缪斯把气球吹飞了，王翊的还是好的。小王翊胜利了。哇!几十个同学都叫了起来。

最后一个游戏是陈坤同学扮圣诞老人给我们发糖。陈坤把糖一撒，哇!同学们一哄而抢。有的同学扒开人群在地上检，有的同学空中接糖，有的同学互抢，有的同学把手伸到糖袋里抓。哗!真是热闹。

今天，我们过了一个快乐、开心、美好的圣诞联欢会。要感谢郭忻灵、雷铃两位同学的提议，更要感谢班主任朱国祥老师对这次活动的大力支持。

Christmas Is Coming .

I like Christmas, it is just like our Spring Festival.

Maybe the Spring Festival is much more important and interesting than Christmas, but I like Christmas Day better. Because we can spend time with our friends and classmates during Christmas. When it is snowy, Christmas becomes much more lovely, just like in fairytales. I can imagine I am in a fairytale, the girl who sold the matches is my friend, the ugly duck becoming more and more beautiful and so on. What a beautiful place! So we can also call Christmas “Snowy Lovely Day.”

On Christmas Day, shops are red and green. There are so many Christmas cards, Christmas hats, Christmas dolls and many colourful things. So shops look very beautiful. We can give a card or a doll to our friends and say “Merry Christmas.” By the way, I think studying can also become much more interesting.

Christmas is coming, it also means a new year will come. Let’s study harder to welcome the new year!

Last week, when I passed a clothes shop, I was attracted by the beautiful

dress, so I asked my mother to give me money to buy one. But she refused me and

said that I could collect some money by helping her to do little work. I agreed.

So I started to clean the house and the dishes. Sometimes washed my father’s

Santa Claus is the most popular people on that day. It is a custom to act Santa Claus. Before children go to bed on Christmas Eve, they will put a sock on stove and wait the Santa Claus to put presents into it. So Christmas Day is one of the favorable festivals for children.

On Christmas Day, the whole families sit at a big table under Christmas tree to eat dinner. They value it very much. Christmas songs mainly include three songs: Jingle Bells, Silent Night and Hark! The Herald Angles sing.

The Christmas story also draws attention to all those people who are on the edge of society - people who feel cut off and disadvantaged; people who, for one reason or another, are not able to enjoy the full benefits of living in a civilised and law-abiding community. For these people the modern world can seem a distant and hostile place.

It is all too easy to turn a blind eye, to pass by on the other side, and leave it to experts and professionals. All the great religious teachings of the world press home the message that everyone has a responsibility to care for the vulnerable. Fortunately, there are many groups and individuals, often unsung and unrewarded, who are dedicated to ensuring that the outsiders are given a chance to be recognised and respected. However, each one of us can also help by offering a little time, a talent or a possession, and taking a share in the responsibility for the well-being of those who feel excluded.

And also today I want to draw attention to another group of people who deserve our thoughts this Christmas. We have all been conscious of those who have given their lives, or who have been severely wounded, while serving with the Armed Forces in Iraq and Afghanistan. The dedication of the National Armed Forces Memorial was also an occasion to remember those who have suffered while serving in these and every other place of unrest since the end of the Second World War.

For their families, Christmas will bring back sad memories, and I pray that all of you, who are missing those who are dear to you, will find strength and comfort in your families and friends.

A familiar introduction to an annual Christmas Carol Service contains the words: Because this would most rejoice his heart, let us remember, in his name, the poor and the helpless, the cold, the hungry, and the oppressed; the sick and those who mourn, the lonely and the unloved.

Part of that celebration included the exchanging of places, the slaves would become the masters and the masters were to obey. The ancient Greeks held a festival similar to that of the Zagmuk/Sacaea festivals to assist their god Kronos who would battle the god Zeus and his Titans.

The Romans celebrated their god Saturn. Their festival was called Saturnalia which began the middle of December and ended January 1st. Some legends claim that the Christian Christmas celebration was invented to compete against the pagan celebrations of December.
