The story line is simple, the book reads like a biography or a memoir of a summer in Tom Sawyers life.

Tom Sawyer seems to be the precursor of and the template for misfit kids such as Dennis the Menace, Malcolm in the Middle, and Calvin and Hobbs. What makes this story great is that Tom Sawyer represents everything that is great about childhood. The book is filled with Toms adventures playing pirates and war with his friend Joe Harper. Tom has a trusted friend, Huck Finn, who few of the adults approve of. The book is filled with ideas of how the world works, such as how pirates and robbers work, that are so innocent, they could only come from a child. It is a story filled with action, adventure, ingenious ideas, love, and schoolyard politics. The whole story is seemingly a complication of what people did or wish they did during their childhood.

The book is a little difficult to read at first. Personally, it takes me a little while to get used to the 19th century dialect in the book. Other than referring to persons of African decent in derogatory terms (which Im sure uses terms even young children already know), the book would be an enjoyable read for people of all ages. I highly recommend this book for anyone looking to feel young again, if just for a few hundred pages.

故事的主人公汤姆是个天真、活泼而又顽皮的典型美国少年。他和野孩子夏克，各干出了许多令人捧腹的妙事。像汤姆被罚粉刷围墙，竟施出诡计，不但使别的孩子心甘情愿代替他工作，还自动奉上谢礼。后来和夏克逃到荒岛去，人们以为他们淹死了，正在教堂为他们举行丧礼，而他们却躲在教堂的钟楼上偷听。这些顽皮的举动，虽然不能给我们做模范，但是，他为了正义，毅然地挺身出来作证人，拯救那无辜的罪犯沫夫彼得。并在顽皮之余，居然和夏克破获了一桩谋杀案，成为众人钦佩的小英雄。看来，汤姆也有值得我们学习的地方。

人总是会长大的，除了个儿长高了，身子强壮了以外，人的思想也在长。你对世界的看法不同了，懂事了，不再幼稚了。不过人是要越变越好才是。千万不能像历险记里的那个心狠手辣的坏蛋卓伊一样，他坏事做尽，人见人憎。但最后他还是恶有恶报，得到了一个活活饿死在山洞里的下场。

看完《汤姆索亚历险记》，我真羡慕汤姆能有如此有趣的经历。这本书让人看起来津津有味，甚至废寝忘食。我想，《汤姆索亚历险记》在你烦闷的时候或许能让你一笑解千愁。

regrouping

This semester, we should have a new face, so the teacher lets us change the new group and contact the new team members. When the teacher sends out the list, I cant: the three boys in our group are monsters, and the girls are a little unsatisfactory. Look at the other groups. Its the same expression. The group leaders brows were locked, and his eyes were disappointed. Looks like everyone has a problem! Hope the new team members will be more positive in the future!

Team members wave

One wave is not flat, and one rises after another. The teacher has a new assignment... Decorate the wall. My excitement has been brought up again, again can with a group of students to show their talents! I chose the wall early, and discussed the design plan with the team members. Why, how can each one be listless? No matter. No matter what, I told the team members what the teacher had told me. Let them think of a way. But what I heard was: "you can do these things yourself. Why should we plan any more?" Myself? Arent we a group? I said patiently, "in the future, we will be together in a group. We will work together to make our group well and learn to make our group the best in the class. Do you have an idea for this wall, I have an idea, so that you can work together more perfectly? Reflection after going home

"When a good student is difficult, when a good leader is more difficult, it is even more difficult to be a good leader." I have realized the meaning of this sentence, or the old saying, reflect on yourself. Hope they can be positive later!

秋冬已过，同样逝去了一切快乐与烦恼的上学期。春节已过，留不下酸甜快乐的寒假。又是一个新学期，开学了……

重新分组

这个学期，更要有新的面貌，老师便让我们换新组，接触新组员。等老师发下名单来，我就焉了：我们组的三位男生都是搞怪大王，女生也有点不尽人意。再看看其他组，都是一样的表情。组长们的眉头都紧锁着，眼神中也都有些失望。看来，大家都有难题喽！希望以后新的组员更会积极向上！

组员风波

一波未平，一部又起。老师又安排了新的任务……装饰墙面。我的兴奋劲又提起来了，又可以与一组同学大展身手一番了！我早早的选好墙面，就与组员们讨论设计方案。咦，怎么一个个都无精打采的？不管了，先说吧！不管三七二十一，我把老师给我讲的内容一五一十的告诉了组员们，让他们想想办法。可我听到的是：“这些事你自己就能办了呀，何必我们再出谋划策？”我自己就可以？难道我们不是一个组的吗？我耐心的说：“以后大家同在一个组，咱们团结一心，把咱们的组搞好，把学习搞上去，让咱们的组成为班里最优秀的组。这次的墙面大家你一个点子，我一个点子，这样大家不就能齐心弄得更加完美了吗？”我苦口婆心地说着，可组员就是无动于衷，我的心里无名火已经上到嗓子眼了，我强忍着，我想：我也不是十全十美的，同在一个组，就应该好好相处，团结一心，这样才有可能提高大家的协作精神和团结的意志啊！我感觉到组员的懒惰，我不知他们是怎么想的？难道为小组做一点贡献就这么难吗？为什么都要推卸责任呢？为什么都在一组就不能团结一心呢？我的一片热心被当头浇了一盆带冰的冷水！让我从头凉至脚！

回家后的反思

“当一个好学生难，当一个好的组长更难，当一个好组长好学生更是难上加难！”我算深刻明白了这句话的含义，还是那句老话，也反思反思自己吧！希望他们以后能积极向上！

I went to visit one of our teachers with some of my classmates this

morning. Miss Jones is our English teacher and she likes all the classmates. She

tried so hard to help us to improve our English. We went to her flat and had

lunch there with her. We had a good time.

Where There is Life, There is Music

What is music, no one can explain.

Just imagine for a moment that you are sitting in a magnificent concert

hall. The conductor waves his shiny baton with a graceful swing through the air.

A beautiful melody floats slowly around you

You sit quietly with your eyes shut, your heart open. The delicate vibratos

of the violins carry you to a mood of heavenly bliss. An airy solo of the flute

draws you to the imagination, the notes flow like some jumping swallows dancing

and singing calling for the coming of Spring.

I like music from my childhood. My father often says when I was a baby I

would never go to sleep without soft, beautiful lullabies crooning around my

ears . Now music is a part of my life. When I feel tired, disappointed or in low

spirits, I usually turn to music. Music, nothing but only music can have so

wonderful an effect on my heart, on my pond of feeling.

Music comes with us. Where there is life, there is music. Where there is

music, there is hope. It lies in everyday life, in everyone’s life, in

everything we see, in everything we hear-- in the rhythm of the sea, in the

whisper of a gentle wind, in the melody of a bird’s singing, in the harmony of

village chimes. You can hear music wherever you may go . A man who doesn’t know

music will lose half the world. A nation that pays little or no attention to

music will be a sad nation. A world without music would be the one for the dead

and devils.

So dear friends, let’s open our arms to embrace music and enjoy it

throughout our lives. Love music and love life.

音乐是什么，无人能解释清楚。

从童年时代音乐就是我的挚爱。父亲经常说，我在襁褓中，没有温柔甜美的摇篮曲在耳边低吟，就难以入眠。现在音乐是我生活的一部分。每当我感到疲倦，失望或情绪不振时，我就求助于音乐。音乐，除了音乐，没有什么对我的身心和情感有如此奇妙的影响。
