foreigner pointed out that Christmas meant to be grateful for them, while for

Chinese people, it was just a day for celebrating. To me, Christmas indeed means

a day to have fun.

When I was small, I did not have the concept of Christmas, because in my

mind, I only knew Chinese traditional festivals, I liked Spring Festival best, I

could get a lot of money from parents. When I went to high school, all of my

friends would talk about Christmas Day when the day was near, so I started to

know it. Almost every young people like Christmas, but if you ask them what the

meaning of the day, less of them can answer.

The meaning of Christmas Day is to remind people of Jesus’s birth, it is so

important for the western people, but for me, I only want to have fun, everyone

is celebrating it, so I join them, being happy, that’s enough for me.

Since we were born as a little baby, we get help from others all the time.

Our parents raise us, our teachers teach us and our friends company us.

Therefore, it’s important for us to be grateful to those people who give us a

hand. Being grateful is a way to show them our appreciation and our love. No one

in the world is supposed to love us without any conditions. Moreover, Being

grateful to others and to what you get can lead you are ready to help others,

too. I think this is the most important impact on people that being grateful. If

we are all show our appreciation to others and then help others, we could build

a friendly and harmonious society.

Thanksgiving, or Thanksgiving Day, is a holiday celebrated in the United States on the fourth Thursday in November.

It has officially been an annual tradition since 1863, when, during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln proclaimed a national day of thanksgiving to be celebrated on Thursday, November 26.[1] As a federal and popular holiday in the U.S., Thanksgiving is one of the major holidays of the year.

Together with Christmas and the New Year, Thanksgiving is a part of the broader holiday season.

This summer vacation, I joined a social practice to be a part-time tourguide. There I found something that impressed me a lot.

People who love traveling are always finding places to take a vacation, which caused a lot of troubles.For example, I found that some people were used to dropping out the trash everywhere. They just regarded the sightseeings as their houses, which cost a lot to clean it up. Besides, some one should write down their names on the trees and walls. People who wanted to leave their names whereever they went are always to punish in future.

Nevertheless, I also found some good examples, such as teaching tourists not to destroy the places of historic interests, helping clean up the environment,etc..I think we all need to teach more people not to hurt our precious nature. What we really need to do is protect them form destroying.

在下午第三节课时，老师发下了一张纸，开始上课。

老师停留了一段时间，问大家：“同学们，你们知道今天是什么节日吗？”话音刚落，就有同学高高地举起了手，有的男同学索性站了起来，抢着发言。而那些坐在位置上没有举手的同学都在绞尽脑汁地想。同学们抱着头，眉头紧皱，似乎都等待着老师公布答案。最后，一位同学站了起来，用洪亮的声音告诉了大家：“今天是感恩节！”“没错！”老师回答，开始放映第一张幻灯片。

首先引入眼帘的是无数朵娇艳的鲜花围成了一个极大的圆圈，圆圈里写着四个醒目的大字。这些字这么大，连高度近视的同学都看得见。那些大字是：学会感恩！老师让同学们默默地注视了一下，提出了第二个问题：“那么我们都要感恩谁呢？”这次举手的人似乎是刚才的两倍多，同学们踊跃回答。他们有的说“感恩老师对我们的关心和悉心教导”；有的说“感恩同学对我们的帮助”；有的说“感恩父母对我们的养育之恩”……同学们不管说什么答案，老师都欣慰地点点头。接下来，神奇的鼠标一点，我们又看到了一首古诗《游子吟》。老师要求我们有感情地读一读这首古诗。全班同学没有一个例外，都像一个个小诗人，极有感情地读了出来。

这首古诗刚读完，另一首古诗又引入眼帘。这首古诗名叫《慈乌夜啼》。题目一出来，许多同学的脑海里都升起一个问号：“|‘慈乌夜啼’是什么意思啊？”还是老师帮大家揭开了《慈乌夜啼》神秘的面纱，并一句一句的分析给我们听。这时，门外传来敲门声，可能是为了引起大家注意。老师向窗外望去，我也不例外。原来是妈妈给我送雨伞来了，她把雨伞挂在窗外，回头深情地望了一下，匆匆地走了。这时，我想到一句俗话：母爱似流水，源源不断。父爱似青山，来得快，去得更快。现在，我才真正体会到这两句话的意思，脸都红了。她自己还要开会呢，哪有时间给我送雨伞呢？古诗学完了，同学们把这首诗饶有感情的读了出来，我也不是个例外。

两首古诗学完后，老师又指挥我们把刚发下去的那张纸上的弟子规读了出来。一开始，我们经常读错字，老师就在这里花了很多时间，一会儿让我们向二年级小朋友学习，一边拍着手，一边读；一会儿又让我们同桌对拍；一会儿又让我们一边拍打肩膀一边读……这种一边换着动作一边读的效果真好。没一会儿，同学们就学会了。

学完了古诗，也读完了弟子规，接下来该看电影了。我们的同学都十分期待，想看看影片的名字。老师就退出幻灯片，让我们看电影。谁都没想到，电影的名字叫“一封信”。同学们吵吵嚷嚷的，都在讨论着电影的名字为什么叫“一封信”。老师打手势让大家静下来，看完了再讨论。电影都还没看完，大家已经泪眼滂沱，我同桌不停地向我讨要着面巾纸，结果没一会儿就把我的餐巾纸借光了。我也在心里嚎啕大哭了一场，心里的眼泪像断了线的珠子，遍布全身。

我们要学习小乌鸦，因为乌鸦知道长大后要报答母亲对自己的爱。所以我们也要学会感恩，将来要报答父母对我们的付出，当一只会感恩的小乌鸦。
