IT snowed heavily last week in northern China. Big snows fell on Beijing, Hebei, Shanxi, Ningxia and Xinjiang. For many cities, it was the biggest snowfall in 50 years. The snow made traveling hard. Many schools had to close for days.

Jia Aizhen, 14, lives in Taiyuan, Shanxi. She should have a mid-term (期中的) test on Wednesday. Because of the snow, they had the test on Sunday instead.

It was good because we had more time to review (复习) our lessons, said Jia. She enjoyed the snow. It was as deep as 15cm and came to halfway up her leg. I felt peaceful (平和的) and relaxed (放松的) to see the white snowy world.

唉！妈妈就像一条粗粗的铁链，无时无刻不把我牢牢锁着。我真希望能体现一下独立生活的滋味。

哦！机会来了！老老生病了爸爸和妈妈要到姥姥家去照顾她，少说也要一个星期吧。这可真是一个千载难逢的好机会，我终于可以如愿以偿了。

临行前，妈妈对我是千叮咛万嘱咐，可我只顾着乐了，一句也没听进去，心里暗暗道：“放心吧，我准活得潇潇洒洒的！”

“丁零零……”闹钟铃想了。“唉，还早呢，才6点钟，再睡一会儿吧！”迷迷糊糊地我伸手按下了闹铃，又继续做我的“春秋大梦”。哎呀，不好了，已经7点了！我像被触了电似的一下子从床上窜了下来，穿上外衣直奔学校。可惜不管怎么快也来不及了——学校的大门早在6点50就已经关了。我只好灰溜溜的签了我的尊姓“大名”走小门了。我不由得害怕起来：“今天早读是语文，班主任一定到教室了，唉！要是妈妈在就……”不知不觉已经到了教室门口，班主任真的在里面了。我只好振作精神喊了声“报告”。这一喊，教室里的琅琅书声停了下来，43双眼睛直盯着我，紧接着就是一阵哄然大笑，我被笑得莫名其妙，习惯性的伸手去抓头皮。这一抓我才知道大家笑的原因：原来是我昨晚洗了头没干就睡了，经过了一夜的被窝烘烤，定型了，头发全都往上翘，像一只鸡尾巴。班主任也被我逗乐了，就没怎么为难我。

虽然妈妈不在家，可午饭和晚饭是没为题的——只要到快餐店就行了。开始几天，我倒觉得吃快餐挺有滋味的，可后来，就觉得没胃口了，整天肚子胀胀的，不吃也饱了。心里老想：“还是妈妈做的菜好吃。”

每天吃快餐，碗是不用洗了，可是天天换下的衣服怎么办呢？洗衣机里的衣服越堆越高，我也懒得洗。衣柜里，我的衣服越来越少，最后只剩下身上这套了。这套衣服我还穿了好几天呢，袖口都脏的不成样子了。一天，天气突然转寒，我想穿一件外套。可合适的那件还在洗衣机了呢！于是，我就对自己说：“没事的，怕什么！”可是第二天，事实就证明了我不是好汉——感冒了，鼻子流清水，脑袋昏沉沉的。

辛亏这一天爸爸、妈妈回来了。一见到爸爸、妈妈，我一阵欣喜，深有感触地说：“没有你们在家，日子可真不好过！”

现在我明白了，我竟然如此得依赖父母，没有父母在身边我什么也干不成，所以我决定以后要独立起来！不能再这样的依赖父母了。

We take a holiday of 7 days because of the National Day.As we all

know，October 1 is the National Day of China in Gregorian calendar.

In the holiday I went to visit the Yellow River Forest Park togeter with

three of my classmates.It was very boring when staying in the bus for a long

time，which made me doze off all the time，and at some time，I nearly struck my

head on the chair in the front of me.After two hours journery by bus，we finally

got to the park.But to my disappoint，there was nothing interesting here，except

some quiet normal things. Compared with the my school I stayed in，here was very

noisy and messy.

Though the park is beside the Yellow River，the air is still a little smelly

because there are a lot of animals such as horses，cocks and so on here，which

make lots of wastes every day while few people clean them. In a word，the park is

not so good as I had expected，and I felt unsatisfied about it.

This week I didnt do many wonderful things．

I went to learn developing film with my classmates on July 1st． It was easy and we all got good marks．

On July 4th， I went to school to learn， because I will be a junior three student soon． We would have to learn some lessons in advance． The weather was very hot． But I didnt feel that learning lessons was boring． Some teachers are new． They are good I think， although they are all looked strict． And the lessons were not too bad．

This week was the beginning of this summer holiday， but it was really typical ．
