初二时的一个冬日，从学校回家，看到妹妹正在写作业。天气很冷，我看她写字的手有点发抖，于是就让她坐在我的床上，又拿了一个小桌子给她。后来，我在桌子背面发现一行字——姐姐xiexie你。“谢谢”两字她还不会写，用的是拼音。因为我这一个小小的举动，一个一年级的小朋友，用她自己的方式向我表达感恩。

最近一次回家，公交车上人特别多，我身边站着一位母亲，旁边的座位上有个小男孩坐着。司机突然刹车，那位母亲几乎是出于本能的反应，挡在了小男孩面前，用手紧紧护住小男孩。后来车停稳的时候，那个小男孩拉过母亲的手，在他母亲手背上吻了一下。当时我看到了那位母亲满溢的感动。我想，如果没有旁人，那母亲或许真的要哭了。

Animals are natural resources that people have wasted all through our history. Animals have been killed for their fur and feathers, for food, for sport, and simply because they were in the way. Thousands of kinds of animals have disappeared from the earth forever. Hundreds more are on the danger list today. About 170 kinds in the United States alone are considered in danger.

Why should people care? Because we need animals, and because once they are gone, there will never be any more. Animals are more than just beautiful or interesting. They are more than just a source of food. Every animal has its place in the balance of nature. Destroying one kind of animal can create many problems. For example, when farmers killed large numbers of hawks, the farmers stores of corn and grain were destroyed by rats and mice. Why? Luckily, some people are working to help save the animals. Some groups raise money to let people know about the problem. And they try to get the governments to pass laws protecting animals in danger. Quite a few countries have passed laws. These laws forbid the killing of any animal or plant on the danger list. Slowly, the number of some animals in danger is growing.

In Taiwan, because most people do not understand the importance of wildlife, the wildlife is in a poor situation. We Chinese are fond of eating anything delicious, so there are many animals killed by hunters. 然而，随着市场经济的发展和外来受多元文化的影响，中华民族传统精神与美德受到一定冲击，逐渐被淡忘。“感恩”一词现在在有些人看起来过时了。不禁想到丛飞，在他重病期间，个别曾受他资助的学生，竟不愿承认，这是何等的无情与无耻。感恩是美德，而“忘恩负义”却是违背道德的可耻行为，是对人最重的一种谴责。社会感恩意识的缺失，其影响不容低估，其危害免会导致人的自私、人情的冷漠、社会道德的滑坡。不知感恩最直接的结果，也使一个人融入社会的过程变得缓慢而曲折。

作为一个新时代高素质的中学生，怀一颗感恩的心看待周围的一切，是我们素质的核心。

感恩是发自内心的。俗话说“滴水之恩，当涌泉相报”，爱才能让这个世界不停旋转。
