of the generation gap, each family should use the following three methods:

First of all, it is important that family members discuss openly about

their pleasures or sadness in childhood in family gatherings. This activity does

not only create a close relationship but also help build up understanding among

all members. For instance, once children are aware that their grandparents and

even their parents did not have a good upbringing during their hard childhood,

they will stop complaining about the previous generations’ obsoleteness. In the

meantime, once old people realize young people are nurtured in a new modern way,

it is easy for them to be tolerant of young people’s new habits or hobbies.

Secondly, people of each generation should not develop a very high feeling

about themselves. In order to do that, they should not think that they are the

only right people in their family because each person has his or her own

limitations. Teenagers would realize that their parents have to struggle with

pain to support them financially, and they would stop rebelling their

strictness. Parents would realize that their children’s new style does no harm

to their studies and stop imposing their own unsuitable standards on their

children.

Finally, the generation gap and its bad effects can be limited if all

members cooperate to build up a close-knit family relationship and a harmonious

atmosphere in which they are open and tolerant of each other. I strongly believe

that each family, by doing that, can enjoy a cozy atmosphere with minimum

Yesterday, my parents were not home. And I had to stay at home by myself for one day and one night. I was very happy at first, because there wouldnt be anyone criticizes my behavior. I can do whatever I want. But later I felt desperate. There was nobody cook for me, asked me to do things or criticized me. I felt empty and desperate as the house is only me. when my teacher told me to prepare for this competition i restated, hesitated.everybody in my class knows that. i never learned english in my primary school.i couldn’t speak english one year ago, but now, could i take part in this competition? no, i can’t. is aid to myself? i’m afraid ofmaking mistakes before so many learned professors and before my classmates and teachers.sud- denly!

a voice came to my ears.“everybody will make mistakes. even the very famous american president george bush” my english teacher said in my class.when i heard that, i think i can. i runinto my teacher’s office happily. “i will do it.” i said. so i stand here today. in front of you.

今天是感恩节，我和爸爸妈妈一起过了一个既神秘，又幽默，还很难忘的感恩节……

今天吃晚餐时，妈妈做了香喷喷的炒米饭，可是今天的炒米饭没放火腿肠，有一点没味道，我抱怨到：“今天的炒米饭竟然没有味道!!”妈妈说：“今天是感恩节，应该感恩可以吃得饱饱的才对，你却在这里抱怨米饭没有味道。”我听后，连忙把脸埋到米饭里，认真的说：“感恩米饭让我吃饱!”妈妈听了，哈哈大笑，爸爸却还认真的吃着米饭。

晚上做完作业，时间还很早，我决定给爸爸妈妈过一个秘密感恩节。我拿出我装奖品的袋子，把奖品拿出来，然后把我回家画的画装进去，再在我的秘密百宝箱里拿出了幸运星、小花印章和一个青花瓷小珠子。幸运星在灯光的照耀下闪闪发光，青花瓷小珠子是大舅舅送我的，上面有美丽的桃花图案，我还有一个哩!小花印章是我以前最喜欢的印章。本来还想给妈妈送一块我和哥哥一起找到的像玉石一样的石头，但是后来一想，觉得不合适，就把它从袋子里拿出来了，放进了百宝箱，接着我剪了两个爱心，上面画了两个气球，然后，把它们一起放到爸爸妈妈的房间里，再剪了一些箭头，从大厅摆到爸爸妈妈的房间，爸爸妈妈看见了，立刻来寻宝，当他们看见我写的“笑”时，笑了起来，我立即给他们照了一张难忘的、模糊的纪念照……

我相信，这个难忘的感恩节，肯定会被照片和日记记录下来……

我曾感恩过许多人，比如∶爸爸，妈妈，外公，外婆，奶奶，老师……但我最要感谢的是关心我无微不至的母亲。

在我生病时，总是她送我去医院。在我考试成绩不理想时，总是她给我信心和安慰。在我遇到不会做的作业时，总是她为我辅导功课。

曾有一件事令我难以忘怀。记得有一次，快放学了。可正在那时，天空不作美——下起了倾盆大雨。雨连着风，把窗户都吹的摇来摇去。“铃，铃，铃——”放学了。我没有带伞，看着许多有伞的同学回家了，我十分着急，在走廊上走来走去。就在这时，我身上暖和了许多——是妈妈！她给我带来了衣服和伞。她眼神是那么黯淡，脸上是多么疲惫，感情之火在我心里熊熊燃烧着。

在回家的路上，我都在雨伞里，安然无恙。可雨水却打在母亲的衣服上，此时我的心犹如刀割似的难受。我说：“妈妈，你站过来一点吧。”妈妈却说；“不了，我站过来你就会淋到。”这么简短的一句话，包含着妈妈对我的爱，这种爱是那么无私，是那么真诚。

啊，母亲！你为我付出了许多，我一定会用优异的成绩报答您的。

Since I was very small, my parents sent me to learn painting. They thought

I could understand art and mastered one skill. This experience brings me the

sense of art. I have my own understanding of it.

On the one hand, art is an important way to express peoples opinion. When

we see the pictures, the difference between classical and ordinary paintings

lies in the thoughts. The famous artists implant their ideas in the pictures,

which are admitted by the public, so the value of arts can be seen. Some famous

artists expressed their unique opinion and gives arts great meaning.

On the other hand, art is not only from works, but also from life. For

example, my mother cooks the delicious food. Everybody speaks highly of her. So

her food brings people great happiness, which makes the food an art for me.

Whats more, my friends is good at communicating. The way she talks can convince

other easily, so I call the way she communicates as an art.

In all, for me, art is around. It brings people a way to see the world or

makes our life wonderful.

谢谢你们！谢谢你们这么多年来给我的精心呵护，使我健康快乐的成长。爸爸妈妈，身为你们的女儿，我感到非常骄傲、非常自豪，有你们这样的父母，是我这一生最大的幸福。在这十一年里，你们无时无刻地关心着我，使我感受到了爱的温暖；而我做的一点一滴零碎的小事，却能让你们激动万分，说出一句世上最动听的话：“女儿，你长大了！”妈妈，您每天都为我做饭，让我感激不尽。而我第一次做菜时，当我看到那一盘烧糊、发黑的“清炒土豆丝”时，我不敢把它端上餐桌。最后，我还是鼓起勇气让您品尝。可是，我知道以您平时对菜的看法，这盘菜无论是营养、色泽、味道几个方面，都是让人难以下咽的那种。但是您呢？并没有嫌它难看，讨厌它没有营养，厌恶它的味道，您还是像品尝佳作一样，吃完了我做的“清炒土豆丝”。并平静的鼓励我：“第一次做菜嘛！做到这样就已经很不错了。以后注意一下火候，效果会更好。”说完，拍了拍我的肩膀。当时，您一定认为我非常不懂事――我背对着您，一言不发。您会认为我不懂礼貌、非常任性，对吧？其实，我背您是因为：我太感动了！明明做了不怎么样的菜，我竟得到了鼓励；明明做了不好吃的菜，我却得到了安慰。

从那时起，我明白了母爱的无私！母爱的伟大！真得太感谢您了：妈妈！那段日子里，我的脾气十分暴躁，是您从百忙之中抽时间陪我说话、玩耍、安慰我，才使我的脾气有了转变。有许许多多的事情，没有您，我是不可能做到的。谢谢您！我的好爸爸！

爸爸、妈妈，你们就像阳光一样，照耀着我成长，使我失败时重新获得勇气、希望与信心。我再一次的感谢你们！
