It is my opinion that students should place their study, health and safety

before other, things. As for friendship, we can readily find it in our

classmates and other people around us.

Thanksgiving began with the first European settlers in America. They

gathered their crops, celebrated and gave thanks for the food.

Tradition says Pilgrim settlers from England celebrated the first

thanksgiving in sixteen twenty-one. There is evidence that settlers in other

parts of America held earlier thanksgiving celebrations. But the Pilgrims

thanksgiving story is the most popular.

The Pilgrims were religious dissidents who fled oppression in England. They

went first to the Netherlands. Then they left that country to establish a colony

in North America. The Pilgrims landed in sixteen twenty in what later became

known as Plymouth, Massachusetts.

Their voyage across the Atlantic Ocean was difficult. Their first months in

America were difficult, too. About one hundred Pilgrims landed just as autumn

was turning to winter. During the cold months that followed, about half of them

died.

last week i saw a young man giving up his seat to a woman with a baby in her arms on a bus. to my great surprise, the woman did not thank the young man; on the contrary, she glared at him coldly, which made him embarrassed.

this incident set me thinking. if everyone acted like that woman, who would like to help others? and what would our society be like?

if anyone gives you a hand, you should express your sincere gratitude to him or her. only in this way will everyone be ready to help others and feel satisfied with it.

As time goes by, the twinkling of an eye, I would rise on the fifth grade. I think my parents is very hard, and use their hard earned money for us to buy school supplies, paying tuition, grandma and grandpa and my three meals a day. In my opinion, the movie “ the pursuit of happyness “ is a meaningful film,

the hero of the movie is an active man. Though his life was very hard, his wife

left because of the situation of their family.His work was also unfortunate. He

never gave up and still work hard.Then he took care of his little son. He is

going after happiness all the time, so his life is running . Time is very

importmant to him, he must finish his task on time , or he wouldnt live a

steady life , he has to pay the rent and taxes and so on, but he insist on

taking every chance to make his life live better and he believe in himself.

Finally, he succeed , his part of life in the movie is moving and real.

I also like the song in the movie very much, it says “ the mountains have

high places and low places ……”

Everyone has a dream, if you work as hard as the hero of the movie , your

dream will come ture, so I will learn from the hero ---Chris Gardner.

And I believe my dream isn’t far away!
