是啊，老师是神圣的职业；老师是祖国栋梁的启蒙者；创造者没有了老师,怎会有祖国今日的繁荣？老师就像圆丁,辛勤的培育祖国的花朵.老师虽不是我们的亲人,却胜是我们的亲人！老师是不灭的火种，点燃学子心中的理想，点燃学子心中的希望。星星火种，燎原之势，它给了学子生活的乐观，学习的积极，工作的激情。火种的存在，给人无限老师，您是一股清泉，流过密林山野，淌过深沟浅滩，永不干竭。高山挡不住您的川流，暴雨只会壮大你的躯干。“老师是人类心灵的工程师！”每当想起这句话，我就想起了我的老师，心头涌起一股暖暖的感觉！

老师，您把自己的一切奉献给了教育事业，把最深的爱给了我们，而留给自己的是干裂的手，沙哑的喉咙，颈椎、腰椎的毛病。现在我们理解了老师的辛苦，我们会长大的，对不起，我的好老师！

感谢老师对我们的关怀，感谢老师带领我们前进，感谢老师传授我们知识，感谢老师教会我们做人的道理……老师，所有的感谢都不足以表达我对您的感激之情，我会牢记您对我的教诲，长大后做一个对社会有用的人，不辜负老师对我的期望！

When I went to middle school, it was hard for me to adjust the new

environment at first, because there were so many subjects to learn, I fell

behind other students. I did not know what to do, I just wanted to get away from

school. I talked about my annoyance to my friend, she told me that I got too

much pressure and she suggested me to take relax and made progress step by step.

She said everything would be better someday. Now I have made progress and when I

look back on the passed days, it was just a small problem for me. I got over the

hard moment and become a strong person.

Thanksgiving Day in America is a time to offer thanks, of family gatherings and holiday meals. Atime of turkeys, stuffing, and pumpkin pie. A time for Indian corn, holidayparades and giant balloons.

在美国，感恩节是一个感谢恩赐，家庭团聚，合家欢宴的日子;是一个家家餐桌上都有火鸡、填料、南瓜馅饼的日子;是一个充满了印第安玉米、假日游行和巨型气球的日子。

The Pilgrims who sailed tothis country aboard the Mayflower were originally members of the EnglishSeparatist Church (a Puritan sect)。 They had earlier fled their home in England and sailed to Holland (The Netherlands) to escape religiouspersecution. There, they enjoyed more religious tolerance, but they eventuallybecame disenchanted with the Dutch way of life, thinking it ungodly. Seeking abetter life, the Separatists negotiated with a London stock company to financea pilgrimage to America. Most of those making the trip aboard the Mayflowerwere non-Separatists, but were hired to protect the companys interests. Onlyabout one-third of the original colonists were Separatists.

The Pilgrims set ground at Plymouth Rock onDecember 11, 1620. Their first winter was devastating. At the beginning of thefollowing fall, they had lost 46 of the original 102 who sailed on theMayflower. But the harvest of 1621 was a bountiful one. And the remainingcolonists decided to celebrate with a feast ——including 91 Indians who had helped the Pilgrims survive their first year. Itis believed that the Pilgrims would not have made it through the year withoutthe help of the natives. The feast was more of a traditional English harvestfestival than a true “thanksgiving” observance. It lasted three days.

Governor William Bradford sent “four men fowling” after wild ducks andgeese. It is not certain that wild turkey was part of their feast. However, itis certain that they had venison. The term “turkey” was used by the Pilgrims to mean any sort of wild fowl.

Another modern staple at almost every Thanksgivingtable is pumpkin pie. But it is unlikely that the first feast included thattreat. The supply of flour had been long diminished, so there was no bread orpastries of any kind. However, they did eat boiled pumpkin, and they produced atype of fried bread from their corn crop. There was also no milk, cider,potatoes, or butter. There was no domestic cattle for dairy products, and thenewly-discovered potato was still considered by many Europeans to be poisonous.But the feast did include fish, berries, watercress, lobster, dried fruit,clams, venison, and plums.

This “thanksgiving” feast was not repeated the following year. But in 1623, during asevere drought, the pilgrims gathered in a prayer service, praying for rain.When a long, steady rain followed the very next day, Governor Bradfordproclaimed another day of Thanksgiving, again inviting their Indian friends. Itwasnt until June of 1676 that another Day of Thanksgiving was proclaimed.

On June 20, 1676, the governing council ofCharlestown, Massachusetts, held a meeting to determine how best to expressthanks for the good fortune that had seen their community securely established.By unanimous vote they instructed Edward Rawson, the clerk, to proclaim June 29as a day of thanksgiving. It is notable that this thanksgiving celebrationprobably did not include the Indians, as the celebration was meant partly to bein recognition of the colonists recent victory over the “heathen natives,”

Today is my birthday and Im so excited about it.In the morning I put a

note on the table for my mum and it said,"Today is my birthday,dont forget

it!"At school,I got many gifts and cards for my classmates and had a lot of

fun.But I was still expecting the birthday party after school.

When it was time to leave school I couldnt wait to go home.When I open the

door,there wasnt anybody in the house.There was only a note that said,"Coming

home late tonight,mum and dad."I try to call them but there was no answer.I was

so shocked,do they forget my birthday?How could this be!I was so sad that I

couldnt eat anything.I just did my homework and waited for them.

And then,things changed completely.It was about time for dinner,my mother

called and told me to go to the restanrant near our house.When I got there I

couldnt believed my eyes.Everybody was there:my parents,my relatives,my friends

and even my classmates.There was so many gifts and a big cake.What a surprising

birthday party!We had a good time and it was the best birthday party ever.

Thanksgiving Day is coming soon, it is on the fourth Thursday in December.

Thanksgiving Day is very popular in western country, on that day, people will

make a big turkey to eat. The day is to in honor of Indian people’s great

kindness. A long time ago, some puritans took the boat May Flower to Americafor

freedom, but they suffered from starvation and illness, the Indian people helped

them, gave them food and treat them. The puritan planted something, they were

eager to have good harvest, at last, they got it and felt very grateful to God

and the Indian people, so they decided to make a day to remember this and show

gratitude.

感恩节就要来了，在十一月的第四个星期天。感恩节在西方很流行，在那天，人们烤火鸡来吃。这个节日是为了纪念印第安人们的友好。很久以前，一些清教徒乘着“五月花”号船去美国寻求自由，但是他们遭遇饥饿和疾病，印第安人们帮助了他们，提供他们食物并治疗他们。清教徒播种，希望有好的丰收，最后，他们得到了好的丰收，很感激上帝和印第安人，所以他们决定定一个日子来记住这些并表示感谢。

西方有个感恩节，那是美国合家欢聚的节日，"受人滴水之恩，当以涌泉相报"，我觉得在中国也有必要设立一个感恩节。

在教师节那天，同学们为了感谢教书育人，默默奉献的老师们，纷纷用自己的方式向老师表示感谢，有的同学在黑板报上写英文，有的同学写了一封信给老师，有的在老师耳边悄悄地说"教师节快乐！"老师激动得热泪盈眶，我也很感动，老师为了我们，每天埋头批发作业，深夜还在备课，多么辛苦啊！我们优异的成绩与美好的未来都离不开老师的谆谆教诲。

其实，除了老师，还有很多人，给过我们帮助，当父母踏着晨钟送你上学去，当同学为你解决了学习上的疑难，当医生为你解除了病痛……你是否想过向他们表示感谢？我们应该对每一个向我们伸出援助之手，奉献真诚之爱的人表示感谢。无论是一个礼让的示意，一个浅浅的微笑还是一句称赞的话语。

现在很多学生认为别人的关怀是理所当然的，不少学生不懂得感谢，他们只知道索取，一切只从利益出发，这不是文明社会的象征。

学会感谢，从现在做起，希望感恩节快点到来！

During Thanksgiving activities, I did many things, help mom and dad to help

dad with a with slippers, help my mother sweep a sweeping the floor, pour out

the trash, I also did a lot of things.

在感恩活动期间，我帮助爸爸妈妈做了许多事情，帮爸爸拿一拿拖鞋，帮妈妈扫一扫地、倒一到垃圾，我还做过许多事情。

I used to think of sweeping the street cleaners work is bad, but I now

know, cleaner can give me a very beautiful and clean living environment, so I

want to develop good health habits, dont litter, can also reduce their

labor.

我以前觉得扫马路的清洁工人干的活不好，可是我现在知道了，清洁工人能给我一个很美丽、干净的生活环境，所以我要养成良好的卫生习惯，不乱扔垃圾，还可以减轻他们的劳动量。

I would also like to thank the police uncle every day is that they are

erected in the center of the intersection to direct traffic, because without

them we would not have good traffic, but also a lot of people death, I well

abide by traffic regulations.

我还要感谢警察叔叔是他们在天天竖立在十字路口的中央来指挥交通，因为没有了他们我们就没有很好的交通，而且还会死亡好多的人，我要好好的遵守交通规则。

The teacher is my most need to thank, because they taught me to be a man of

truth, and all kinds of knowledge, I want to be in the teachers teaching, to

learn earnestly, grow up to do as the teacher.

I also want to mom and dad said: "thanks!" I must study well with excellent

achievement to repay their parents for raising me.
