In the United States， the fourth Thursday in November is called Thanksgiving Day。 On that day， Americans give thanks for  the  blessings  they  have  enjoyed  during  the  year。Thanksgiving Day  is  usually a  family  day。  People always celebrate with big dinners and happy reunions。 Pumpkin pie and Indian pudding are traditional Thanksgiving desserts。 Relatives from other cities， students who have been away at school， and many other Americans travel a long distance to spend the holiday at home。

Thanksgiving is a time for tradition and sharing. Even if they live far away, family members gather for a reunion at the house of an older relative. All give thanks together for the good things that they have.

In this spirit of sharing, civic groups and charitable organizations offer a traditional meal to those in need, particularly the homeless. On most tables throughout the United States, foods eaten at the first thanksgiving have become traditional.

What should we thank?

The thankful teacher works with diligence and without fatigue everyday of teach, give us knowledge ability, put on the wing which flies toward the ideal for us.

听了老师的话，我觉得很对，谢谢老师之后我便回去了。晚上我为妈妈夹菜，为劳累的她捶背，并且和她说说自己的学习和生活，她不住地笑，十分的开心。呀！我忘记感谢刘老师了，为了我的学习她可操了不少心。于是我赶紧拿来妈妈的手机，发了一条短信：刘老师，谢谢您，是您教会了我很多知识，教会我怎么做人。祝您节日快乐。很快老师的短信就发过来了，她说：“嗯，你现在越来越懂事了，老师收到你的祝福了，谢谢。”

我们要有一颗感恩的心，感谢父母赐予我们宝贵的生命，无微不至的照顾我们；感谢辛勤的老师教我们知识，滋润我们的精神世界；感谢这美丽的世界，让我们生活的幸福快乐。

每一个人都会受到别人的帮助，但不一定所有被别人帮助的人会回报，

在我很小的时候妈妈就教会我读书写字。使我在知识的海洋里，像小鱼一样遨游。但我从来没有回报过她，连声谢谢都没有。

记得有一次，我发高烧，浑身难受，爸爸还出差不在家，我和妈妈住在外婆家里。妈妈对我百般关爱，嘘寒问暖。整夜守候在我身边，用酒精给我擦身体降温。那时正是三伏天，妈妈忙得满头大汗，我心痛的对妈妈说：“妈妈，你睡一会吧！我好多了。”妈妈毫不在乎的说：“我不困，只要你快些好，妈妈累点苦点都没关系。“我感激地望着妈妈说：“妈妈我难受了。你还是休息一会吧。”妈妈笑着对我说：“太好了，我们终于战胜了病魔。睡觉吧。”妈妈轻抚着我的头，为我唱起摇篮曲，我甜甜地睡着了。第二天早上看到妈妈面容憔悴，疲惫不堪地样子我好心痛。

今天是十一月二十六日，也就是父母最惊喜的一天——感恩节。

早上，沈老师在上课时给我们读了一篇文章，是一位大作家梁晓声写的。读完了这篇文章，我被梁晓声的感恩之情深深地打动了。但是我不懂沈老师为什么要在今天读这篇文章。我还没问呢，沈老师就先开口了：“小朋友们，你们知道我为什么要在今天读这篇文章吗?”沈老师提的这个问题让我们面面相觑。沈老师见了，告诉我们：“今天是感恩节呀!”这时我们拍了一下头，恍然大悟。“回到家之后要感恩父母。”沈老师说。

回到家后，我立刻帮妈妈拿来鞋子，妈妈说了一声“谢谢”之后，回房间了。吃饭的时候，我时不时往妈妈碗里夹菜，妈妈觉得我有点反常，便问道：“儿子，今天怎么了?”我说：“你忘了吗?今天是感恩节呀!”妈妈若有所思地点点头。

下午，一做完作业，我没有像往常一样拿起书津津有味地读起来，而是直奔写字台，拿起一张纸神秘地写起来。写完之后，又拿起一本书夹了进去，送给妈妈。妈妈一打开书，哇!里面夹着……文字精彩，图画优美，看着看着，妈妈不久就沉浸在了书的海洋里。我看着妈妈入神地看书，心里乐开了花。
