记叙文往往是用精彩的笔调来记叙一些值得传唱或发人深省的人物事物，叙说生活浪花或凡人琐事。学的最多的，大概就是先贤先烈可歌可泣的壮美故事，民族人民保家为国前赴后继的事迹。教育我们国家兴亡，匹夫有责，树立爱国爱社会的责任意识。

说明文是运用恰当的方法，说清楚事理或事物。一篇好的说明文可以用精彩的文字向我们生动而立体地描摹，刻画出被说明对象的特点。例如《人民英雄永垂不朽》，围绕耸立的纪念碑来说明，不仅概述了碑的整体面貌，汉白玉浮雕，有装饰花纹的碑顶和碑座，金光闪闪的题词，而且细致介绍了每一处的象征含义。我们读了之后，简直有身临其境的感触，既惊叹工艺的精湛，又景仰先烈的精神。

散文是我最青睐的文体。幽雅恬淡的语言流露出作者内心的真谛，但要和作者共鸣，就必须反复诵读，细细品味，否则就只能远远地在作者内心的大门口徘徊。鲁迅的《雪》仅五百多字，却描摹出江南与朔方在大雪覆盖下的不同情景，真是恰到好处，“添一字嫌多，减一字嫌少”。但更精彩的是隐藏在文字中的灵魂，即作者宁为朔方之雪在残酷环境中顽强奋斗的品质。
