I am twenty-three years old and have an honors degree in Botany from Bath

University. Since leaving university I have been working in a research

laboratory but my contract comes to an end in six weeks. I would particularly

like to join the expedition for the opportunity it would give me to study the

plant life of the area.

I enjoy several outdoor activities including rowing and rock climbing and I

consider myself to be both fit and healthy enough to undertake such an

expedition.

冬天来了，冬天的第一股寒风威风凛凛的迈着大步前进，他所经过的路线转瞬间安静了，初冬的全世界，从金黄色丰收的季节转化为白雪茫茫的休眠。

冬天的景色不像夏天那般生龙火虎，冬天到处都是一片宁静，世间万物进入了休眠只为迎接更美好的春天。

这一次我们的学校举办了冬季运动会，我校的冬季运动会分为四个不同的项目，各个项目都让参赛选手们热血沸腾。

冬季运动会我校已经举办过了n次了，可每一次的冬季运动会都让我们兴奋不已。

冬季运动会的第一个项目就是：传统的跳绳运动，参赛运动员们都各个神采飞扬，比赛开始了，参赛选手们拿起了自己手中的跳绳，开始跳了起来，一号选手像一头暴怒的水牛，涨红了脸，手里的绳子飞快的甩动着，他跳了一会儿，就累的气喘吁吁。而边上的二号选手却不紧不慢，慢悠悠地跳着，仿佛胜劵在握。

第二个项目是：踢毽子，参赛者们一个个把毽子踢到天空中，毽子在天上画了一个完美的弧线，又落回到了参赛选手的脚上。有的参赛者把毽子踢的好像脚上有磁铁吸引一样不会落在地上。有的参赛者脚上踢的毽子飞了出去，搞笑的是他们居然还用手代替脚掂了起来，耍杂技似的。

踢好了毽子，就开始第三个项目：玩钻呼啦圈游戏。我们五年级分为了四组，每班派三十五个人围成了一个圆，大家手拉手，在两个人手拉手的胳膊上放两个呼啦圈，每个人都要努力让两个呼啦圈往两边方向走，使每个人胳膊上的呼啦圈钻过各自的身体，哪两个呼啦圈先碰头的队赢。在这种情况下个子矮的同学就有一定的优势，一下就钻过去了，有的同学顺利的钻了过去，高兴极了，连手也松开了。

第四个项目就是快快跳起来，有两个人一起拉着一条绳子，一个班级一两组，当两人拉着绳子向你跑过来的时候，你要快快跳起来，躲开绳子，在比赛中，也有可能摔倒的情况。如果全部都跳过去了，这一队就赢了，我们班的同学都跳得老高，有的跳过去摔倒了，顺势就在地上开心的笑了起来。

这一次的冬季运动会，大家都用自己的汗水换来了成功的喜悦。

几阵秋风，几场秋雨，卷去了满山遍野的五彩的秋叶，送来了没叶的冬天。没有了春天柔嫩的新绿，也找不到夏天成熟的丰腴，秋天梦幻般的玲琅满目也不知随风飘向了何方，维有挺拔的树干，错综的枝丫依然执着地在山谷里蔓延。灰蒙蒙的单调的底色伸展着，醉人的色彩已退却，成了昨天的记忆。寒风吹来，萧瑟，少了往日繁叶的和弦，光秃秃的树干孤独地在寒风中颤栗，发出僵硬而悲哀的呜呜的低唱。好像黄土高原上土窑里传来的幽怨的小调，在树林间穿梭着，回转着，袅袅的余音缠绕在远远的树梢上，显得格外悲伤而凄凉。他仿佛在娓娓地叙诉着一个动人的故事，那刻骨铭心地对叶的无尽的爱恋和思念，撕人的心，断人的肠...... 偶尔也有几只鸟落在树枝上，唱着不知名的歌儿。冷清清的好象站在庞大的舞台上对着空无一人的观众席。这和春夏百鸟争鸣，秋天里潮水般呢哝的虫声形成了鲜明的对比。远处山谷里的小湖依然泛着妩媚的涟漪，嘲笑着寒冷并没有锁住她的美丽。湖畔伫立着几棵小松树，是常青的， 还泛着绿意，突破了灰蒙蒙的冬色，显示出盎然的生机！

蒙蒙的细雨忽然下了起来，山野变得异常的寂静。听不见一丝杂音，只有沙沙、沙沙的雨声在山谷里回荡着，让人感到踏实而稳健。潇潇的雨一会儿就把山林染成了深棕色。山林好象脱去了灰蒙蒙的外衣，摇身一变，成了亭亭玉立的红杉林。各种各样的红杉树在雨中挺立着，多是高大挺拔的红枫，笔直地伸展向高空；也有扭捏的榆树，举着旁逸斜出的枝，从未站直过；还有丰满的橡树，虽然抖落了满身的繁叶和坚果，依然不失浓密的繁枝；更有婀娜多姿的各色的柳，有的飘逸地垂着细长的枝，有的有姿有色地扭曲着枝腰，颇有古代美女的风范；在没叶的冬天里，更显出她们的线条美。山林中，一条弯曲的山路向蛇一样蜿蜒，一直伸展到山下，消失在山林里。山路两侧是整齐的人家。我原以为这是唯一的人家了，现在透过淋湿的山林，依稀可见众多的房子在山林里掩映着，那是有叶的季节里寻不到的人的生机。很希望会看到袅袅的炊烟，但我深知道那是属于中国农家特有的一道风情。这儿不是中国，也不是农庄。若是在圣诞节或是更冷的季节里，家家壁炉里冒出淡淡的烟，倒是可以画出一些炊烟的味道。忽然，我觉得整个山谷活跃起来，悲凉消失在迷蒙的细雨里。我自然而然地喜欢上这个没叶的季节。它有它特殊的活力，那简洁而粗犷的线条，那活跃在山林里的人家，勾勒出没叶的冬季的特殊的韵律。

雨在继续地下，没有一丝一毫停息的意思。天却越来越冷。渐渐地，远处的树梢上开始发出隐隐的光亮，院子里半绿半黄的草坪也辉映着闪出熠熠的光泽。我以为是在下冰雨，不由得好奇心大起，因为下冰雨的日子并不是很多。走出门来验证，下的仍然是雨，是冰凉冰凉的雨。这雨落到实物上，就凝固了，成了冰。细细的草叶已经裹在一层晶莹的薄冰里，那熠熠的光泽就是这层薄冰的杰作。再看远远的山林，好像衣冠楚楚的红杉树，全都整齐的戴上了水晶般的华丽的冰帽子。那晶莹的冠配着深棕色的衣着，庄重而不失美丽，华贵而不失风雅，恰似他们已经准备好了要给我们上演一场盛大的演出。我贪婪的望着这奇妙的美景，惊诧于大自然的神工。我的心情就像一支快乐的鸟儿，雀跃着......

雨依然下个不停，持续着，一点变化都没有。奇怪的是那夜的温度也一直不变，一直保持在摄氏零度左右，好像早就和雨有着合约。

第二天清晨，雨终于停了下来。留下的是窗外铺天盖地的透明而玲珑的冰塑。层叠的山峦，回转的山谷，还有那一望无际的山林，全都穿上了这纯洁，素雅而又华丽的新娘的盛装。闪闪的光从四处跃起，好似掩不住地纯真的喜悦，闪烁着，期待着幸运的新郎。真想不出有什么样的新郎能配得上这样端庄，美丽而又气魄宏伟的新娘呢？

昨日的红杉树化作了高雅的雪松。树显然感受到了冰的重量，不自觉地垂下了树枝，就连高耸的红枫也不例外。他们仿佛是在舞蹈中。舒展着身体，摆出各种各样的造型，多姿多彩。可以看出，有些树枝很吃力的承受着冰的压力，弯得让人担心；也有失去了平衡的树枝，踉跄地支撑着；还有的树枝未能挺过这场考验，干脆跌倒在林子里。草坪里的小草骄傲地伸展着裹在厚厚冰层里的草叶，象是伸着一只只胖胖的手指头。孩子们跳跃着寻着冰趣。快乐的笑声洒在了山谷里，打破了冰封的寂静。

哗哗的响声骤起，而且越演越烈，盖过了孩子们的嬉戏声，终于汇成了整个山峦山谷的交响曲！无数的冰水从树上， 从山脊， 从屋顶， 从草间滴落下来， 加入了这个宏伟的演奏！ 那乐曲自然，雄庄，磅砣，震撼着整个山谷！

短短两个小时，太阳用它慈爱的目光，融化了茫茫无际，漫山遍野的冰层，展示出她无比的爱的神力。山林脱下了晶莹的冰衣，欢天喜地地恢复了固有的姿态，显得特别轻松。整个山野散发着淡淡的湿气，空气清新异常。山谷里拢着薄薄的雾气，在灿烂的阳光照耀下，格外俊俏而飘逸。望着那宁静，典雅的山峦；看着那清秀，朦胧的山谷；注视着那茂密，挺拔的山林；好像什么事儿也没有发生过。有谁能想象得到我目睹的一幕一幕？又有哪一块画布能容得下这美妙无比而又变幻无穷的风景呢？我悄悄地收起那颗欣喜而又悸动的心，在这没叶的冬季里，感激着大自然无私的赠与。

冬季我们一家来到了松花江，刚好，松花江下了雪，可以看看松花江的雪景，可是妈妈让我在表姐家，让我雪停了在出去。

今年的冬天早早地就来了，但我却没有感觉到以往冬天的寒意，而是一种从心里涌入的温暖，一直都未消散。

就在元旦前夕的那个星期，一件小事触动了我，让我真切地体会到了爱。星期天，我同往常一样来到学校，到了学校才知道，因某些原因，学校将停热水一个星期。

有这么一个人，我对她最熟悉不过了。

她呀，个子还算高，瘦瘦的，像根弱不禁风的豆芽菜;一条马尾辫常常甩在后脑勺;两道月牙一样的眉毛下是一双炯炯有神的眼睛;高挺的鼻子下有一整小巧的.嘴。

她的性格怎么说呢，这样说吧：她有时泼辣，有时文静。她的爱好广泛的很，读书啦、运动啦、写作文啦……说到写作文，她还与它有一段冤缘呢。起初，她并不喜欢写作文，可是老妈的命令下，她哪敢不从呢!写着写着，既然喜欢上了写作文，你说怪不怪?

她也有一颗善良的心：一天，她下午在学校教室与同学扫地。本与同学商量好，教室总共有三组，一人扫一组，中间一组一起扫。可是，她的同学肚子疼，她已扫完一组，可她的同学还是不舒服，所以她就自己一个人扫完了三个组，并且还不忘送她的同学去给老师看看。看吧，她就是这么一个好心肠的女孩。

Last Saturday,with all my classmates and teachers,I went on a trip to the nature park .We departed from school at about half past seven and spent about 40 minutes travelling to our destination.When we first entered into the park,all of us were shocked by the natural beauty and the hamonized ecosystem of the park.Then,happily we were playing games on the sand; swimming in the pool and taking with our friends on the grassplot.After lunch break,our programs were continued with an contest of story narating held and each of us was immerging within the funny stories We left the part at about 5 oclock,and unitl now,most of us are still haunted by the beautiful memory of that trip.

Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day

for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act

a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.

On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they

are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The

younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or

fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones

even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that

night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the

side of the bed.

On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the

light at two oclock,and most of them are awake by six oclock although it is

not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children

look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At

about one oclock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey

or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new

coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating

until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

Hazy Weather

Recently，hazy weather has become commonin China. People wear masks to avoid

poisonous air. Emissionproduced from factories and cars is the main source. The

smog surely hasnegative effects on peoples health especially that of

thechildren and the elderly .But how to deal with it?

First， the government should perfect laws to punish those factories

thatignore the protection. And businessmen must pay more attention to

theenvironment instead of money. Second， green commuting and alow-carbon life

are supposed to be called for. Third，we should develop green and energy-saving

energy to lower theemission of haze.

If we work together，our environmentwill get better and better and haze

weather will disappear completely.

毛衣、围巾、手套、长袖、大外套，服装店里都换上了这些厚重的衣服;市场、大卖场里也摆出了各式各样的火锅料，表示寒冷的冬天来了。

平常在夏天里常感觉太阳好可恶，为什么要这么大，每天得上学的我们真是一群可怜的孩子，背着一个如石头般的大书包，头上还顶着大太阳，热死我了!但是到了冬天我又觉得太阳好可爱，因为冬天的太阳不会很大，有的时候连下几天的雨，都不见太阳出来，还会想念太阳呢!冬天的太阳感觉暖暖的，柔柔的，真是舒服。

若要说真的，我个人是比较喜欢冬天，因为我很会流汗而且又很喜欢吃东西，一想到吃、好吃的小火锅、红豆汤圆˙˙˙˙˙˙就一直浮现出来，嗯!好满足呀!我才不管吃得多么胖先吃再说吧!反正冬天是穿大外套，大件的衣服会遮住我胖胖的身体，也不会让别人看见的。想想还是别让冬天太冷好了，这样我就不须要穿大外套，然后就不会有藉口多吃东西，这么一来就别想要冬天是身材的护身符了啦!

时隔多年，当我再次踏上家乡那条布满青苔的石子小路，我总是会想起您，想起那个一瘸一拐的背影正慢慢向我走来……

那年冬天大概是我记忆中最冷的一个冬天了。极其难得的下起了雪，路上堆积的雪，一踩一个脚印。家乡那边有座老君山，放眼望去，整座山就像是被包裹的白色大雪球，向外散发着森森寒意。山顶有座庙，每逢佳节都会有人去求护身符保平安。奶奶的家便在山底，二层楼房，保留着上个世纪的建筑特点，红砖青瓦，堂屋中央供奉着祖先的灵位。我并不常去，只有当逢年过节才会去住上一两日，但是那栋房子里却有一间属于我的房间，没有别人。

“啊，好冷啊！要不今天晚上我们俩挤挤？”我望着窗外白茫茫的一片，对着我身边的室友说道。“不了，昨天有个同学都被逮到了，还被警告了。”我垂头丧气的想着今天晚上该怎么过，我那床薄薄的秋被可抗不过啊！这突如其来的雪，让人一点心理准备都没有。

正当上课的时候，老师便叫我出去。我正纳闷会是谁找我的时候，怎么也没有想到您会来。您穿着你们那个时期的蓝西装，背着背篓，让原本弯着的腰显得更加佝偻。背篓上是一张四四方方的被子，上面的花纹让人想到久远的民国时期。“丫头啊，今年冬天冷，我给你缝了张被子，管暖。”您笑呵呵的看着我，从口袋里摸摸索索的拿出了一颗牛轧糖和一张附身符。我的内心百感交集，此刻的心情是言语所不能替代的。“奶奶，您的腿本来就不好，这么远您怎么过来的？”我看着那张满是岁月沧桑的脸，心里的某一处忽然柔软了。您的腿是在文革时期落下的毛病，当时我爸才一岁左右，发着高烧，您背着他到处求医，腿却落下了毛病。“没事，你快进去，外面冷，这被子我给你放在外面，等会你带回宿舍。”之后，我看着她一瘸一拐的背影慢慢消失在楼梯拐角，我才走进教室。

曾经我在一本书上看到过一句话：每一代人都为下一代人活着，也为下一代人死。我想，这大概就是这个道理吧。上一代人无条件的付出，厚重的爱，也教会了我感恩。怀揣着一颗感恩之心，可以是一句温暖人心的话语，可以是一杯沁人心脾的暖茶，可以是日常生活对人处事的方方面面。奶奶，我很想对您说一句，连同我爸爸那份，感谢有您！希望我这句未迟到的祝福，风儿可以帮我送到。

恍恍惚惚，回到现在，仿佛在寒冷的冬天也有暖意。

不曾记起冬季的寒冷，

寒冬本是如此。

冬季的“泥泞”，

却成为我“忆海”中抹不去的符号。

冬季，慵懒的阳光来到了屋内，一切都很自然。

八点，我准时起床。奶奶交给了我一个简单的任务：把一篮鸡蛋送去六奶奶家。我满口答应，就百十米的距离，这件任务真的很简单。但奶奶却苦口婆心地吩咐：“昨晚刚下了小雪，小心路滑！慢点儿走！”“知道了！”我有些不耐烦。

屋外，阳光清新了许多，雪花并不多见，只留在屋檐的一角。布满薄冰的路面在阳光的照耀下，湿漉漉的，闪烁着点点的白光。

我一个劲地朝六奶奶家走去，先还有些小心翼翼，之后便大胆了许多，心中暗喜：呵呵，还不就是走路的事情！

正当我得意洋洋之时，脚下突然一滑。哎呦——我大喊一声。紧接着，“啪”的一声，我的整个身子仰倒在路面上，硬生生的疼。鸡蛋——我的鸡蛋——我连忙试图爬起，寻找那篮惨遭厄运的鸡蛋。双手一下子撑在了冰冷的路面上，刺骨的寒，几乎到了心尖。

双脚踩实之后，我艰难地站起，满脸的痛楚，心有说不出的委屈。衣袖、裤脚、头发……处处沾满了泥巴，像一个死里逃生的士兵，狼狈而壮烈。

鸡蛋七零八落，滚在了路上，裹满了黑黑的泥土。篮子停在了更远的地方。晕——

冷冷的冬，裹着“泥泞”的我，心中生起恨恨的悔。

Today, I came to the breakfast. See the lads with chopsticks busy busy. So

I took a seat, a young man walked to come over and ask me to eat something, so I

had a bowl of beef noodles peppers. Soon, a noodles. I take chopsticks, soon

finished eating. On the way to school, I also think that bowl noodles.

今天，我来到了早餐店。只见店里的伙计们端着碗筷忙来忙去。于是我找了一个位子坐下了，一位年轻的伙计走了过来，问我要吃点什么，于是我报了一碗青椒牛肉面。很快，一碗面就出来了。我拿上筷子，很快就吃完了。在去学校的路上，我还想着那碗好吃的面。

寒风来袭，人们都穿着厚厚的棉衣，蜷缩在温暖的被窝里，舍不得踏出门半步，殊不知，有那么一些平凡的人，他们无论是严寒还是酷暑，总是给我们的城市带来一片洁净。

他们是谁呢？他们就是我们可爱的环卫工人。他们每天用心的付出，清洁着这座城市的每一寸土地。

有许多人都瞧不起他们，觉得他们是下等人，但我却不那么认为，他们不仅美化着城市的环境，更美化着人们的心灵。是他们用行动，才让我们学会了尊重，学会了关爱。

正因为如此，虽然是在寒冷的冬天，城市却渗着一份温暖，而我却亲身感受过这一份温暖。

还记得那年寒冬，家家户户都张灯结彩，为了过个快乐年，我拿着攒了很久的零花钱去街上买最爱的零食。一走出门，人不算多，而就在这为数不多的人群中，看到最多的却是被寒风呼呼吹着的环卫工人。因为太冷了，我买好东西后就匆匆向车站奔去，巴不得马上回到家中。在寒风中，我一手攥着坐车的钱，似有似无地张望着。一辆空调公交驶来，我按捺不住奔向温暖的心情奔向公交。直到回家才发现我把零食给弄丢了。

内心反省着自己的粗心大意，脚步不由自主的又奔向坐车的地方，心里很焦急，心想：车站人来人往，零食估计早已被别人拿走了；那可是我攒了那么久的零花钱啊！怎么甘心就这么掉了呢！带着这样的想法，我再怎么也要去找找。

沿着回家的路，不一会儿就到了车站，远远地便看到了那一大包零食，又看了看旁边，却多了一位环卫叔叔。我疑惑的想：“难道他是在等我回来吗？还是……”我看见他向四周环望着，好像是看到我了，看到我着急的样子，叫住了我：“小妹妹，这是你的东西吧，刚才我在你旁边打扫卫生就见你忘把零食拿上车了，我呀，怕别人给你拿走了，所以就一直在这儿帮你看着。你肯定急坏了吧！”叔叔看出我的心情，讪讪的笑了。我看到叔叔的手因为寒风而变得红肿冰凉，他一定等了很久。此时，我的心里涌出一丝感动，像是一股暖流，流进我的心窝。

那个冬天虽然寒冷，但我每想起那位环卫叔叔，心里总是暖融融的！
